With many happy childhood memories here, this had to be my first South Island cache and my 100th cache all up. I now have a very different memory of the place, with my 100th find turning into a geocacher's nightmare when I accidentally destroyed the cache.
Without describing the actual cache, I will say that I spent about 45 minutes trying to fix the problem, I attracted many stares and some concern, and even the assistance of an elderly passer-by. But to no avail, hence the maintenance note and disabled cache.
Much thanks to capperz for being so understanding, and for putting the cache in this lovely spot... I definitely won't forget my 100th in a hurry!

A few years ago we could not find the original here. This time was nice and easy on a Sunday morning. Tftc
Couldn't find this a few months ago, the cache was missing. Found it within seconds this morning on another visit. Signed log, TFTC!
A quick find while exploring the city on foot. Log retrieved with my new tool - a safety pin. TFTC.
Mr BammJam's birthday, so we're off to see if we can make this our biggest caching day yet (previous best is 16).
Find #446 for the BAMMJams - we actually found this one way back when it was quite a fresh cache, during the 100 Days for 100 Years bugling commemoration in the lead-up to ANZAC Day this year, but didn't have a pen on us - no sign, no log.
And so, here we are, some months later, finally getting around to signing the log and logging online! The hardest part about this was getting the damn log paper out of the container - didn't have a suitable TOTT with me, of course! TFTC

It's not the first time in this square to find a cache. We had checked the hint due to the number of people using the park but thought we were going to have to log a DNF. That is until Hazedarus checked elsewhere and came up smiling, so to speak. After signing it was placed where the hint suggested it should be. Thank you capperz.
A park we have visited before. When I tried the other left it was all good Replaced as it is meant to. Thank you Capperz

I'm pleased the seagnoid got here before me, so I had something to find. On my way home from doing some plotting to place a multi up the road. I didn't need to be home for a while, so after talking about this the other day, and a car park opening up in front of me, I just had to stop. I am noticing more nano's lately, there must be a trend happening. It was a bit nippy, so no one was wandering through the park at this time. The gardeners were behind some trees working, but with the description I was able to find it with no trouble. Tftc!
I have a spare nano in the cache mobile so decided to replace this one so I can find it. Might be time to move it to a new spot as I suspect it is the efficient cleaning crew that comes across it. TFTC capperz

On our way back to Nelson after an event and caching day ,did a detour to do this cache took a few minutes to find.tftc
I was busy sitting down signing the log and nanzie was still looking, not realising I'd found it. A lot easier to find than the last cache near here tftc

Clear crisp morning and not many people around in Seymour Square.... Sat on the bench and found cache quickly. Didn't need tweezers as fingernails are good at the moment.

Never managed to find the original cache in this park, so came hoping I would be more successful.Love ones like this where you feel perfectly 'normal' while hunting it down. Gardeners nearby- but that didn't matter at all. tftc
#912. A quick find on the way to conference. Tag was a bit exposed. Signed log and replaced in spot where it should have been hidden. TFTC
Despite only having been found three days ago, I can't see anything here today. One of those caches where I really wanted to come unstuck, but even a less-than-discrete kneel and feel did not show up anything.
Cute cache found it no trouble, Workman working on the fountain never took any notice of me, a muggle with a toddler on the next seat, left which wad good, another sat near the clock, who I suspected was waiting for me to leave.
Wandered through the square this morning, but there was a muggle settled in on the seat.
Had another opportunity this afternoon, and found it easily.

Got the half a container remaining back from Geopopnz at todays event close by. Decided to do some container juggling so another of this type has been put in exactly the same place.
Happy hunting and please be discrete.

Found the pieces of this one at the event close by today but not where I had expected it to be. TFTC #6687
Well that was a QEF - - - as they tend to be when spotted in the hands of another cacher. Thanks for the "bonus" cache .
Just found at 1325 on Wed 29. Or rather I've found two of the three bits. The top is missing. I have the log - it was blowing away on the ground and the magnet was attached in the right place. Will hold on to the bits till we meet on Sunday. TFTC
Brrrrrr, chilly today as continue our epic journey through NZ. TFTC, a beautiful little park in a beautiful area.
Worth coming at night to see the light show, had to strain my eyes to complete the log in the darkness though
TFTC. Visiting this lovely part of the country to attend the Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow. What an amazing event.
I took an opportunity during the lunch break to pick up a few caches. It was really quiet in town as it was Easter Sunday.
Thanks capperz for placing the cache.

[green] Dot Day. What better excuse to go for a cycle? Off to the far end of the Wither Hills, and to continue my current project, to cache out Blenheim.
After climbing up the hills, getting the last caches up there (yay!) and gorging myself on grapes left on the vines after the harvest (yay!) and picking a huge wad of peaches (yay!) I am back in town and very hungry! Grabbed a pizza and headed over to Seymour Square. Hey! It's empty! The square, dummy, not my pizza.
This is about the eighth time I have attempted this cache - actually, no. the other seven or so were just a case of look in - too crowded, skip for later. I was planning to get up early to tackle it, but since it is empty now - Found it! Yay!! Pizza for dinner, Peach for desert, cache for during. Nice.

Introducing a friend to caching and figured this one would be good to practice muggle awareness on! thank you for the sneaky hide!
Found it! A short drive from Picton found us in Blenheim. After a lovely lunch at the bakery we used geocaching to tour the town. This was the only cache we managed to find on our walk and it was a good one which required a bit of stealth. TFTC SL

The square was about a hundred meters from our hotel, so after arrival we made a little walk and could find this cache quickly. The first cache on the South Island. Thanks and greetings from The Netherlands.

Had to return early in the morning to find this park empty, nice spot to watch the sun come up
Sat in the shade on a nearby seat for 30mins waiting for a muggle to depart. Once she had left, swooped in for a quick find. A great square.TFTC
wow this is only the second one of this size weve found, i looked but couldnt see it, but after reading the clue wasnt long before we had it tftc
Snuck out late last night to collect this one. The fountain is a picture with its multicolour light show. TFTC!
Definitely a re-visit for me, the original was one of my very very earlier finds. Nice place.

Lovley sunny morning, had to look at the hint in the end as phone not being accurate. Thank for the cache.
normally don't bother with town caches, but time of passing thought worth a look. Signed as the wind blew "rain" from fountain to the seat.
Thanks
Thanks
I had an appointment with the doctor this morning so I reported to reception and asked how far behind the Doctor was... 'There's three more patiants in the waiting room before you, it will be at least another 45 mins'. Yay, I wonder what I can do for 45 mins? I know... lets grab some CBD caches. There were two in the immediate area, 'From little acorns..' and 'Seymore Square revisited'. Let's go the Seymour Square... 250 metres later, the GZ shows up with a muggle reading a book while sitting on the particular end of the park bench specifically mentioned in the hint. He looked like he was there for the duration... Ok, Plan B, let's try 'From little acorns...'.
After visiting the Doctor, I drove past Saymour Square and noticed said park bench was empty... so was a handy car park... in for a quick park and grab.
I went straight to the bench and sat in the appointed position, lowered left hand and came up with the smallest cache I've seen in my short GC career (can you call it a career?... I'm sure some do). I unscrewed the micro and was surprised to find space for about 40 logs. I filled in log 29, which is pretty good seeing it has only been out there for just on a month.
I also visited this cache with TB RECNWC.
TFTC capperz, you deserve a PF for this, but I don't have any in credit. I'll be back with one later.
PF now awarded.

Out for a childless, husbandless cache hunt with Mrs PricelessNZ. A relatively quick find without looking too sus, I think :-/ TFTC.
Followed the instructions - and the cache was soon in hand. It took longer to replace the log. It was much easier to find this cache although there were muggles around than the previous one here which took a few visits.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It was nice to just sit a while in the cool of a summer evening, reach down, and find a cache. A nice area. Thanks for the cache
QEF for a sunny evening out with my daughter. Found with FluffyUnicorn02. Signed log as CM & F02. TFTC!!
A quick cache hunt tonight and this was a QEF. Thanks! Found with coastalmartinis. Signed log as CM & F02. TFTC

Mallorcatommy, con/limon and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
Me and my dirty little GPS helper found this GC on a NZ South Island trip in January / February 2015.
TFTC!

Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Heading to the Clubs of Marlborough for a meeting and just had time for one more quick find. There were a few muggles about but with the very helpful hint I managed to merge in like the rest of the muggles. Cache #18 by 10:30. Quite happy with that.

Stealth required but soon grabbed it. Beautiful morning for walking. Even tested my new camera phone with a couple of shots of the fountain.

#8990. Our cunning plan to beat the heat was to do a big walk in the morning, then have a coffee and a bit of a break before heading out for another round of caching. Our plan turned out to be a good one because when we got back to the car park after a walk in the Wither Hills a couple of Rural Fire Guys were putting up signs advising that people should keep out of the hills between 1200 and 1900. After a reviving coffee and a muffin, we headed back to the motel for a break. This cache was (more or less) on the way, so we stopped by for a quick find in the hot sun. TFTC.
I remember finding a cache in the park several years ago, so good to see another placement here. We had walked from our motel to a cafe for a coffee and something to eat, then walked back via the square (motel is very close by). It was about 1:45 pm and the sun was scorching so was hoping GZ would be in the shade but no such luck! The temperature meant that most sensible people were not out and about, so we were able to make the find quickly with the help of the hint (always appreciated in high muggle zones), and hopefully while not looking too dodgy .
Now to return to the motel for a bit of down time and watch the start of the cricket before heading out again. TFTC.

Down from Canada visiting with my daughter and her family in Blenheim. Today was a good day for crman1 and I to be out and about town caching and enjoying the day. QEF with crman1 as I saw it as we walked up to it. Was in this park three years ago and the tower was cordoned off. Nice to see it restored and opened up to the public again. TFTC
Nice easy find. Great to see the place looking so great. Found with eltee291. TFTC!
Couldn't resist a trip out tonight to find this cache. A very cute easy wee find. Great to get FTF this evening! CFTC
A short wander after dinner...good to see this centrally located cache site operating again.thanks Capperz
Beautiful park - filming for the news just now of a rather official looking chap in uniform - keep an eye out for us in the background on the TV tonight
I really enjoy spending time in New Zealand, I just love it here. Its nature, people and adventures I am passing through. Awesome place, thank you very much for introducing to myself and for the cache itself Sorry for late logging, I have some problems with internet access during travelling.
