Found a glass container, without lid, filled with rocks and water, where the hint directed me. If this was a decoy it beat me, otherwise cache may be missing, hopefully the first option. tftc
On our way up to South East Queensland for a week long trip, grabbing geocaches along the way of course, as well as adventure labbing wherever possible. Today we drove from Port Macquarie to the Gold Coast with near perfect driving weather, only a couple drops of rain here and there.Visited just after sunset so the light was starting to fade, very peaceful little spot. Managed to locate the container at the right angle. Thanks for the cache
Down on the Gold Coast for work and with a free day of caching today weve headed out to make the most of it. We headed up the road and stopped in and made a quick find. Thanks petanFind #5885
Called in to check the cache.Replaced the container. New one is green and slightly larger than the previous. Please make sure its resealed before leaving.Few new graves here since our last visit as well as a shaded seating area.
Nice little peaceful spot on the hectic gold coast. Lid wasn't put on properly so log paper is a little damp. Put back in a protected spot . Tftc
Found but log is wet and water in base of container. Sad history with siblings passing at 9yrs and 1yrs .
It might sound a bit morbid but these days we love a cemetery cache. Once you’ve made friends with some zombies nothing is off limits. We’ve done a couple of CITOs in cemeteries and this one is in great condition.
The one that caught our eye were the two burial sites that had caved in towards each other. We didn’t check their relationship but they both had the same surname. Normally a husband and wife would want to turn away from each other so they couldn’t hear their partner bang on in the afterlife.
It was clear though that these two were trying to claw their way to each other underground. There is hope for everyone that couples can still share a cuddle even six foot deep. If the sinkhole gets any deeper then we can assume even swingers rock it in the afterlife. tftc

A quick find here today in this lovely old cemetery. Spent some time wandering about and reading the headstones.
Cache quickly found thanks to an excellent hint; logbook is a bit tatty but easily signed.
Thanks, petan!

A drive down to the coast and a moment to stop off and grab a cache or two while I was in the area.
Wow this is a nice area to drive around I love the hills and the views. This area has always been of special interest for me. There is just something about this area that makes it unique and special.
After completing the letterbox cache, I went up the hill and grabbed this one. it was a little slippery from all the recent rains. I signed the log and replaced all as found. Thank you for bringing me to this great old cemetery and some history.

Really interesting to read the headstones and look at the different types of graves. TFTC
I had been at this Cemetery to take photos for billiongraves website before I knew of caching and of course then I found there is a cache here and finally was back in the area with my geosis after a sunrise event for the new year.
A fun time today with my geosis. We had some great laughs and found some caches too. TFTC
We had a free day and Grandma muggle was down for a visit so I packed us all up and a picnic lunch and took us down to Currunbin Rock Pools for a swim. Kids were bored and cold after 15 mins. Ugh. Took us 1.5 hrs to drive down there! So I told them to go have something to eat. Then they went back in the water and we finally left over 4 hours later. I told them that if they let me look for 20 caches on the way home, I would buy them an ice cream.
Took a big of digging but I got there in the end, in the obvious spot.

This cache has survived severe weather events in the past, so I am not disabling it but I will check on it in the next week or so.
I thought I was going to have to log a DNF here… in my efforts to uncover the cache I moved it out of its hiding spot… but when approaching from a slightly different angle I spotted the cache…
Tftc… I do like a good cemetery…

There are some very old graves here. I wonder if they were colonists or convicts who earnt their freedom.

A quick find by Mrs Shifter on our way home after completing the Adventure Lab that took us through the Currumbin Valley.
A nice little cemetery, which we always love visiting (probably due to our interest in family history)
Thanks for the hide petan.

We finished two Adventure Lab with 10 waypoint, 5 mystery, 2 letterbox, 2 multi, a Wherigo and 10 traditional. We had a great day. So overall 30 finds.
Sorry for the generic log.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. Petan TFTC *535* streak. *3188* Finds

Today we were attending a funeral just down the road, always such a sad occasion, when we decided to walk up the road to this hidden gem of a cemetery. The cache was found and is in good condition. Thank you for bringing us here. SL TFTC
Continuing on down the road to the next one and I was on the phone updating everyone on the flight status wandering around aimlessly, still looking in possible spots as I wandered. I cam up with the hide and handed it to geotild to do all the signing. TFTC petan
This was a fun cache with plenty of challenges. The only problem was the imminent danger of snakes and spiders in the area we were looking for it in.
Wonderful how geocaches can be so informative about the history of locatuons such as this. Thankyou for the cache. The logbook is just barely still useable and will most likely need replacing. I made sure to seal everything up tight
A quick trip to the Gold Coast just for my cousin’s Hen’s weekend wasn’t going to allow much time to include some caching on my own so decided to stay on an extra 48 hours. Had a few challenge priorities in mind and just grab some bonus smileys, including this one, along the way. Bit tricky to remove the quickly spotted cache but tried a different angle to avoid a “hand in the cookie jar” situation.
Found after I looked at all the stones, my heart broke for the family who lost 2 small children. That always gets me. There was one grave down in the corner alone. I wonder why. The logbook feels a little damp so I put the absorb sachet INSIDE the ziplock bag with the notebook and it should do its job quickly. Find number 1996, matches the year I graduated from Yeppoon State High School
Cache quickly located, yes she's a bit moist hey...
Signed log and returned. Thanks petan

Since we were just down the road, checking on the Post Office, called in to check this one.
The container is still viable, although the logbook was a little 'moist'. I did not have a spare with me, but will replace this one when I replace the container for the PO Letterbox Cache. In the meantime the logbook can still be written on.

Wet logbook ... we used a sticker to log but would be difficult with a pen or pencil . Cheers
Wow, such a quaint little resting place tucked away on the rise. Good hide and a nice quick find.

Last full day on the Goldcoast, before flying back home tomorrow. There's no better way than spending it caching. Tftc.
My conference at Coolangatta is now over and it's my last day on the Gold Coast. I have a field trip to go on today, but I thought I would just sneak in a couple of caches before I put my work hat. This one took me a little while to find - probably should have read the hint earlier than what I did. TFTC petan and for bringing me to an interesting place
An interesting find, spooked the daughter a little.
Thanks from the Ross family.

What a place to find myself looking for a cache .
Looking around the graveyard here you will see many Dolans .
My Wife actually belongs to the Dolan family and we have been here to visit Members of family that have passed away .
Finding this cache here today as you can imagine was quite an experience for both myself and my wife
. There are family members that were buried here recently.
I will attach a picture to my log of one of the recent Dolan reunions which are held at either tallebudgera or currumbin.
The person sitting on the right with the dog is myself. The lady sitting next to me with the child is my wife & my son.
The girl sitting on the opposite end of the bench is my daughter. This is the current living Dolan
Family .

Out for a day of caching with Mrs RoddyC. She had previously found this cache, but was happy for us to stop us so that I could make the find. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
**# 21306** Found on our 2018 mega adventure to ACT, NSW, QLD and beyond.
Another fine Winter day for a trip to Tallebudgera while at the Gold Coast for a week.
Lots of muggles around today and a few more good safe hides.
Thanks for the cache petan,

What a wonderful and solemn place to visit. So peaceful and still in use by the original families of the district. Certainly the Dolan family must have featured very prominently. Tidied cache location up a bit and left well positioned. TFTC
Greetings from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I was amazed to see that cemetery is still use with burials in the last three years. TFTC

Found with bennyboppers and mnance101 this afternoon. A quaint little cemetery. Tftc
It’s always interesting walking through cemeteries and reading the gravestones for those who have left this world. A cute and humble cemetery, just off the road, that is still used today. SL, replaced the damp ziplock, and we were back on our way.
Just love exploring old cemeteries
Cache easily found
Favourite today as it bought us to this spot which we would not have visited otherwise

Another cache in a lovely old cemetery. Loved reading the history of this place in your write up. Enjoyed looking at the headstones after locating the cache. Found with The X-Trailers. TFTC and a favourite point.
Had us scratching our heads for a few minutes, but finally found a spot that said "I have a geocache hidden here!" We noticed that a few names in the cemetery share their names with local landmarks too
I love old grave yards. So much history. I drove along a few roads named after the residents here today.
Another nice quick find thanks.

On my way back to Canberra from Brisbane. Taking a scenic route off the main highways. A quick find, TFTC.
Wow, love the history in these places, saw a couple from around 1880, amazing.

Mr RoddyC has some caching time today, what better to do than be in the company of DiamonJs doing some caches around Elanora and Currumbin. We started just after 7.00am and finished about seven hours later on the first day of November - not too hot yet, and we covered a lot of different territory.
Whoohoo! A cemetery cache! Quick easy find. We were here the day before All Souls Day - I wonder do they still have the service? We remarked about the similarity in last names of most of the gravestone we passed by.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 7.50am on 1st November, 2016. TFTC
