This cache has been muggled once again, as I am leaving town and it’s a high maintenance cache I won’t be replacing it. Credit to reticbob for creating a great cache
Spending a lovely Sunday out and about moonyoonooka & Chapman valley area. Great find with this one fantastic for the kids.
Day 2 Arrived in Gero last night. The plan today is to hit the series and caches around Gero. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches - sorry for the genetic log. Signing as GT
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Cheers Moidya!
Cheers Moidya!
Very nice hide thanks again. Started our 2nd tour of WA now touring around the south slowly heading north on our way home to Cairns. Did your Giles Park, Moonyoonooka today. 1 March 2022 3:19 pm Tyfc Moidya total caches now 4404 .
I havent forgotten about this cache, still awaiting replacement to arrive in the mail.
Cache has been taken again, looks like some little critter has made a home in the hidey hole where the cache lived. Will work on replacement #3
This cache seems to have gone walk about again. Will work on a new container which will be different from the last making it harder to be found and hopefully prevent it from being muggled again.
Bought a friend out here to help her with this one as I’ve found it before, but the cache is completely gone
Found within the first minute this time found, no idea how I didn’t see it the first time
Hi there reticbob. While out on the road today we found this cache after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to reticbob for this cache - our find 7954
Lovely Park. Quick find. The Magnet was no longer attached so we tucked it inside the container & it works just fine. TFTC reticbob
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was from simply cruising around in Geraldton
.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'reticbob' for showing us this location and for the fun we had with 'Giles Park, Moonyoonooka'. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately. For the fine location and the clever hide we give a FP.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest.

Visiting friends in Nanson we realized we did not have much time to complete the Mystery at the Museum Souvenir Challenge so we decided to go out and try and finish it today. As we pulled into this well maintained car park we quickly spotted several likely locations and we split up to divide and conquer as the GPSr was bouncing around a little bit. After a short search the cache revealed itself and our name added to the log. It is nice to see that this historical location has been memorialized with this park and facilities.
We are happy to say we will now earn our souvenir.
Many thanks reticbob for the another cache near the beautiful Chapman Valley.

Outnabout collecting clues. Loved this twist on a popular hide. And I loved that I could look in peace without worrying who was watching. A fave from me.
After caching solo round Geraldton for the past week we met up with Squash2 to head out of town a bit and search for a few caches neither of us had found previously.
First up however we headed out to look for a puzzle cache we had managed to solve earlier in the week. We're not very good at solving puzzles so this was a bit of an achievement for us! And we hadn't had any success with the others in the series yet! We were pipped at the post though by a number of teams who had found it earlier in the morning.
We realised we had missed a few caches on our earlier travels so as we headed back into town we thought it prudent to search for them.
This was the second. The GPSr was very insistent about the location of GZ but once we had searched everywhere we were a bit perplexed. So it was let's search again! This time we found it in one of the first places we had looked originally. A bit of cleverness that will make the cache safer and keep it nice and dry had been overlooked.

Stopped here for a little rest and airfield learning about this historical site. Thanks!
I am in town for a few days for work. With nothing else to do when not working, there is time for caching.
Spotted pretty quickly once I looked from the right angle.

Found it, not sure if its in ots right place as I found it by accident when I noticed a pencil in a tree, the log was sitting next to it and the container was open. I put it all back in and put it back where I found it
We had lunch in this lovely quiet little park and found a cache as well. This was an attractive little cache but in a different situation. All was well with the log and the container and our name was soon added to the list of finders. Thank you to reticbob for putting this cache into play.
Day one of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
We travelled from Perth to Geraldton along some less travelled roads though Moora, Coorow, Mingenew and Walkaway on our journey collecting some less touched caches, a number of which were getting their first log signed for 2017, which was very strange considering we're nearly a quarter of the way through the year.
We started the day off a bit later than otherwise normal leaving Perth just after 9am and headed to Moora where we grabbed the three caches quite quickly, Cravo cheekily grabbed the final for the LKA multi whilst I was doing the sums, very cheeky indeed.
We continued to Cooroow and made a quick find of the weird container which is more like a
Mint tin in size not a nano. Then moving towards mingenew which was our major target for the day to add another LGA to our list of completed as we work towards 130 lga collected.
We stopped for a nice lunch further down the road and marvelled at mother natures fury with the rising waters that would have swept most things away in her path around some of these parts and she was still flowing quickly today. See the pics for more details.
We then moved to walkaway where we completed a couple of puzzle caches and a multi before heading into Geraldton to complete the remainder of the planes series which was published since we last were in Geraldton. Nice quick finds there before checking into our accomodation and then grabbing some more caches around Geraldton and retiring for the night after being out in the heat all day.
Had a couple of beers at the hotel and a nice dinner whilst planning tomorrow's trip to Carnarvon.

Hi there reticbob.
We found your cache **"Giles Park, Moonyoonooka"** at 12:30:00 PM today, so this makes our find count 14526.
We are leaving Geraldton in a day or so, and as the weather forecast for today was particularly good, we decided to take in the views from the top of the Moresby Range before heading this way to complete our sight-seeing circuit.
Thanks for the hint. We have had our hand in here before, but didn't feel around as well as we should..
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 8m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Headed up to Geraldton for 4 days to try and find as many caches as we could. Its been 6 months since we were last there and there has been so many new caches come out that we will need another trip there to find them all. We ended up finding 215 and about a dozen DNFS. We picked a few up on the way and did a detour on the way home to Mullewa and i must say the wildflowers are beautiful at the moment. We found a great variety of caches including a couple of wherigo,s, lots of field puzzles, multi,s and the highlight for the hubby was doing the chirp cache. I would like to say all caches were found quickly but that definately wasnt the case lol.... There was some very tricky and sneaky hides that took quite a while to find with a few we went back a couple of times to till we found them. We managed to find a few that we previously had DNFS on and it was was great finding a lot of creative cache containers especially some of the field puzzle ones. Thanks to everyone for the caches and hope to find a lot more on our next trip to geraldton....

This is the 4th of 4 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 12:45:00 PM, but we just couldn't locate your cache. (Coordinates some distance from anywhere a cache could be hidden didn't help).
So here's a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

This cache has annoyed me on a couple of occasions now,
with its steadfast refusal to be found [:o]
Me last two visits to this delightful park were muggle interrupted,
but that was no excuse for not finding the cache
I returned this morning to find the park devoid of muggledom.
I also dragged out me magic cache finding wand in the hope that it might help me find the cache
Again I checked all the same olde places,
waved the wand over them,
and thought of another DNF
I waved the wand over one last place and ...
... the magic happened [:o]
"Clunk"

Though why I never saw it on previous attempts is a mystery

Fave point for a nice location,
a simple, but frustrating hide,
and placing GZ about 6 metres away
with its steadfast refusal to be found [:o]

I popped in for another poke around Giles Park for a cache this morning
Muggles allowed me five minutes to poke around before they turned up
In that five minutes I could find nothing cachelike
Drat and double drat

We pulled into this beautiful little park which is looking quite fresh after the recent rains, and started following the compasses. Both Ian and I arrived at a GZ in the middle of nowhere, we hunted around and widened the search. We looked up the clue but my idea of what it could mean didn't return a cache. While Ian visited the convience I continued searching, some 15 metres from GZ I was poking around and much to my surprise spotted the cache right where Ian had previously searched. Very easy to miss it.
After signing the log and replacing the cache we spent a while enjoying the park and playing ball with one of our boys. What a shame that all that remains of the school is the plaque, ah well, at least it isn't completely forgotten with that there.
Thanks reticbob.

My GPS had me in between two trees where there was nothing but dead grass (mowed), tried both trees, even tried the aluminium tables which were far off, may need a clue on this one. Love the park though. Thanks for bringing us here ReticBob.

Only one out of four I didnt find. Bit too good for me. Although I was supposed to be working and didnt have much time to waste!!!! Anyhow may try this one again another day when back up in Gero.
Drove past this place several times recently and never knew this park was here. Great spot! Hunting for the cache took a little longer as we had some problems finding GZ, looked like GPSr did not wnat to settle but with a little persistence we managed to find the cache. Good one, worth a favorite. TFTC reticbob.

A quick trip to look for this one on a warm day. A small park east of town which would be very nice for a picnic when things are a bit cooler. Taking heed of the previous log we kept a lookout for giant Anacondas but luckily did not see any. Mrs S made an uncertain find and left me to retrieve it. SL TFTC reticbob, good one.
A brief discussion at the dinner table tonight about a couple of recently published caches resulted in a quick "pack n go" as soon as the plates were clean. The kids were excited about a rare night time adventure and we hoped that FTF might still be up for grabs. Made it to GZ but our GPSs were rather undecided so we wandered back and forth for a few minutes. ***gasp*** five years lost from GeoR's life but all worth it for a FTF. Thanks reticbob for a clever and scary hide!
