Hi davesnz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
TheCoddiwompler

Maybe time this one’s checked. Multiple DNF and not found for over a year. Thanks.
No luck today but could be down to the fact we were knackered after the walkway Fun searching never the less
Tricky hide and almost impossible to be discreet here. I did my best but couldn't spot, feel, grab this one today so I walk away empty handed.
The sun was out again, so I was going the make the most of my remaining time. Good hide but very hard to extract, had to use a nearby tool. TFTC!!
No luck today.
No sign of the cache where I belive it should be. I could be wrong though
Next time.......

This cache took a little while to find. When I first spotted it I wasn't absolutely sure it was a cache but checked it out anyway and was lucky!
Found on my trip north enjoying the caches in the area. Wasn't the quickest of finds
Off on a 5 day mission from Northland to the East Coast with the main target being the last two CANZ caches that I had not yet found. The opportunity to grab some $25 airfares to Napier was just too good to miss, even though it was winter and the days might be short and the weather might be dodgy.
Day one though was a real mission, with early morning fog for the drive to Auckland, untold time navigating the long Akl parking lots, delayed flights before we took off and then again in the air before we could land causing a missed connection for the rental cache mobile pick up. To top it off, the weather was cold and wet, but I still managed four caches in the dark.
Day four dawned much better with a cloudless sky but still a chilly sou'west wind. Our accommodation was in Wainui Beach, so while Mrs had a sleep in, I headed out for an early morning exercise jaunt along this cycleway. Was surprised how many walkers were using it this morning and so a fair bit of stealth was required before making the cache retrieves. Like the previous searcher, I wasn't able to locate the hide where the GPS was taking me and with more muggles approaching, had to leave this one and log as a DNF. Thx anyway.

I had a good look on the way out and backand thought that it could be in only one place. So I got a tool from the toolbox (not Geocaching) to get at the hidden space - nope it wasn't there either. Maybe the CO needs to check it out or it could be the case of me having to go to Specsavers.
On a very wet day we had to grab some caches for the day before settling in for the night. Mr TW did a grand job of driving between the caches and managed some superb parking. Many thanks for this little series and we had a great job getting wet.
Our first find in Gisborne - great to have Nana with us on her 70th Birthday! A nifty hiding spot, but soon found by our "Queen of Nanos"! TFTC.
Thanks to the CO for replacing the cache, was a sneaky wee hide and took longer then it should my geo scenes must be out. TFTC.
tricky hide and tricky retrieve but glad to sign this to complete this run . got it heading back to town . hope the cycleway gets finished for the summer. much better than riding on the road.
Maintenance visit to site to check geocache. Replaced with new cache container and log in original location as per description.
Loads of other DNFs .. must be gone when the work continued on the path?

Decided to stay in Gisborne for an extra night as I was not in too much of a rush, having taken Friday off work I decided to come up to Gisborne and visit family as I was in the Hawkes Bay for work and it wasnt too far to travel the extra distance and it also gave me the chance to pick up a few caches in this lovely community.
After a DNF on GC4RD8V - Heath's Corner Gisborne, I decided that I would try and find the next cache that was just down the road at the start / finish of of the Kaiti end of the Kaiti to Wainui cycleway.
Managed to find a parking spot across the road from GZ and it was a short easy walk to GZ, once there I had a quick look at the most likely spots but didnt see anything so decided that since I was limited on time I would move on, will try and give this one another go next time I am in the area.

Good find here, tftc. It's a shame the others along this cycle trail seem to be missing
I tricky little hide. Finally spotted it. A lovely day to be out and about. TFTC
A quick find with marknz, although a little difficult to extract. The cache was falling apart, so after returning to the car, we came back with some tape, and repaired it to keep it safe. TFTC
Still strollin' and headed east
Every cache I found around here a bit further along this trail extends me furtherest East cache stats [^]
The first cache of this series was a very quick find [^]
Bodes well for the rest of the trail,
after way toooooo many DNF's in this part of the world
TFTC.

Travelling around the East Cape for the long ANZAC weekend and now reaching the home straight into Gisborne.
Saw this was a little series on the biking track so as we were in the car it was a quick find of all the series through here.
Thanks for the cache series placement to boost some numbers for our day.

The weather forecast was for a warm day, so we decided to take the bikes out for an early bike ride on the Kaita Wainui cycle trail. Didn't get out as early as we had hoped and the temperatures were already heating up as we headed out.
At last, we have reached the cycle way, and it's so good to get off the road, especially the last section which was a 70kph zone. A quick find for StreetWalker in between muggles while I was searching elsewhere. TFTC,

#11977. It took a bit longer than we expected to get to the start of the cycleway, but it was worth the effort as the cycleway was a wide concrete one. I quickly spotted the nicely hidden cache. TFTC.
A little tour around Gisborne took us to Kaiti and Wainui today. Back in town we strolled to the museum at the Tuharenu. Thanks for all the caches on the way.
Found this by chance, I think CO might have to check it out. Signed the log and put it back. TFTC
Lovely day for a walk We thought we would have a go at the walkway caches today and parked between this cache and Rifle Range cache. A nice easy round trip... though my young Cache King may have regretted his choice of footwear in the heat
Nice day for a walk, so we came to the start - or the end, depending on your view - of the walkway.
Nice quick find, nice dry log.
Thanks for the cache!

We had no luck here when we started and some council workers were parked nearby so we didn't like to linger. Fortunately the coast was clear on the way back, so we managed a really good look and feel. Were about to give UK when Steed spotted it.
I'm usually onto it regarding helping hands, but this was a doh! moment when the penny dropped.

The last of the cycle track. Had lots of fun and hubby is back with new tyre. TFTC
After a quick inspection, the cache was soon located, great to see this part of the Cycle and Walkway finally completed, TFTC.
Changed description from micro to nano. Thanks to Adventure Collectors for bringing that to my attention.
Oh boy the cache could be anywhere! With one eye on Miss 4 and 5 so they were safe from the road I hunted for this one but no luck. A quick read of the description gave me a vital clue to help narrow the search area and soon we were signing the log. The cache is a nano rather than a micro as stated in the description.
This is the last cache for us in this series and we have enjoyed our morning walk/bike ride. Thanks heaps for planting this series.

As we planned for some FTFs around here that day, we could not miss the first one (although no FTF).
Found a great wooden walking stick nearby that went with us (although driving most of the time) until Rangitoto.
