Definitely not a key holder. That was a good idea to put it there. I thought it was on the other side

An afternoon caching run with +Wife and EveTheStaffy.

Last of the afternoon as I focused mostly on Auslan before adding a few needed D/T combinations.
Quick and easy find and I managed to avoid dropping the container. Tftc

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to TeamThommo for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

On way to melb for hand appt and have time for a few stops. Wandered slightly off highway for a quick find. Road very busy and my car looks like a speed camera car so got many glares from drivers. Tftc TeamThommo by contributing to our game by placing and maintaining geocaches for us to enjoy.
Pretty sure the cars driving past just see a crazy person walking in the rain, but we all know the truth...

We’ve been itching to get out and tackle a series of caches after a prolonged break over Winter. We spent yesterday solving the Auslan
Puzzles, but didn’t quite get them finished in time, so The Slog series fit the bill perfectly. We didn’t quite get them all done (whingy kids!), but we made a good start with only a few DNF’s. Thanks Team Thommo for placing all of these

After detouring down to a fork in the road, this was a nice pick up on the return!

Simple little cache on the way home from work. Nice one to end the week.
Twas a perfect day for opportunistic bus caching.
Having dropped some students at the nearby school, and my caching bus changed from the 41 seater to the 24 seater at the last minute, a few nearby park and grabs were only slightly challenging, rather than darn difficult.
Glad I checked the logs and found that the container had changed.
Found in good order. TFTC

We DNF'ed this one the last time we were here. It seems like it is back in business as we found it almost immediately this time.
Thanks TeamThommo.

Just catching up on logs from my recent caching day endeavouring to find the remaining caches in The Slog series. I have really enjoyed reading of TeamThommo’s long bike ride .. and have enjoyed how each of caches have a bit of a theme. I missed a nearby cache due to road workers at the cache location .. actually sitting there...this one looked like an easy pickup but as usual I had a preconceived idea of what I was looking for .. nevertheless I eventually found it .. good hide .. thanks TeamThommo
School is about to go back after the summer holidays, but there were no kids in sight as we looked for this one.
We have had a very interesting start to 2021, but unfortunately that didn’t include the opportunity to do much starting. On New Years Eve we started the celebrations early while we were staying with our son and his family in Tumut NSW. We had a lovely day with a picnic and lots of fun with our grandkids in a local river, but on the way back to our sons place we heard that Victoria was about to close the border to anyone returning from NSW, so if we didn’t want to spend 2 weeks in quarantine we need to reach the Albury/Wodonga border before midnight. A quick scramble with us, our daughter and her family of 4 plus our 2 grandsons who were spending a few weeks with us for the school holidays and we made it with plenty of time to spare. A bonus was that we beat the exodus from further north and had very little delay at Checkpoint Charlie. We got to ring in the new year somewhere between Yea and Healesville and finally made it home around 2:30am. The following three weeks we had grandkids staying with us, and the boys are too young to enjoy long days caching, so now we are finally able to get out and about.
We usually drive straight past the turn off to Nar Nar Goon on our at home to Churchill from Melbourne. Today is the first time in ages that we have actually stopped here. And what better reason to stop than to find a cache! A straightforward find

On approach the spiderwebs were a bit daunting.
However, didn’t need to worry about them with a nice quick and easy find. Thankfully we had read about the replacement cache and not to look for a key holder.

Oh no ... it got replaced the day we ignored it because it was disabled! Have to come back one day to fill in the gaps in today's finds.
Out and about with echidna44 to complete our Pretzel journey - and pick up on this series. Grasses are long in the area and we are aware of snakes but this is our last for the day and not a snake in sight except for the ones we were meant to find. Nice easy find. We are loving these easy finds now. Thanks for the caches TeamThommo
Out with xambo4u, we were on a mission to complete the Pretzel Mystery series (which I didn’t solve all of) but was able to help find them. A great variation of puzzles to stretch the mind. We also did many of the Slog series.
A warm day with lots of grass seeds in the socks !!!
Another easy find on our ‘slog’. Thanks TeamThommo

An easy find which is good when you are trying to earn a souvenir but it was difficult to retrieve being only short. Had to increase my reach using my pen. Which worked but I ended up flicking the container into the ditch. Luckily it was a dry day. TFTC
Cache is smashed to pieces but the log is intact, replaced container with an ever faithful Mint Tin that we have on hand, in need of maintaince... On holidays from cairns and found with Cached Up Mummy Jules.. tyftc

On my way to the Pretzel series and a great opportunity to grab some of the slog series and remember the fallen series. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Apologies for the generic log but have quite a few to get through today.
Being in the area today we decided to undertake this series, having previously only ever found Earthcaches by the CO, which we have always very much enjoyed doing because the CO always gives so much great information even if we don't fully understand it all - consequently we think they ALL warrant higher D ratings! That aside we are so glad we did this trail today, and as to be expected there was lots of information on each page that this time we could understand and relate to! The story greatly enhanced the trail and we were willing the CO on all the way around the circuit. Congratulations to the CO for a sterling effort and for having persevered and completed the course - you have our full admiration! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Heading down to Nyora for the CITO and as I had a bit of time I decided to do a few of The Slog caches before moving on.
Like the CO I think the name of his town is great, the thing about Australia we have some weird and funny names.
Thanks TeamThommo TFTC.

With a scheduled power outage at home today, not a lot of work could get done, so decided to get away for a bit and head up towards the big smoke. We don’t like it tooooo ‘smokey’ so we hung around the outskirts a bit and did some shopping - this was our first cache on our way back home. Thankfully nice and quick, as the mercury was certainly up there today! Sl TFTC
Caching day in Pakenham/Nar Nar Goon area for the day. Found it. Thanks TeamThommo for placing the cache
A couple of years ago I found 3 slog caches with my buddy Team Astro. Been a long time to return but this afternoon I did another 7 slog caches.
Loved the variety of hides. A bit tricky sometimes parking but otherwise good fun.
Not where I first imagined it to be
Thanks Team Thommo

Another cache where we parked a little further away to be safe. Then Geodad made his way through the very long grass and made his discovery.
Thank you TeamThommo.
Thank you TeamThommo.
Out tonight for a quick cache to maintain my streak. And this was my cache which was a bit tougher to find than I was expecting. Searching around and the gps had me second guessing where I originally thought the cache may be. It turned out my first instinct was correct.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache.
Found at 9:54 pm on 12/10/18.

As I parked just 100 metres behind the speed limit sign, everyone braked down to 80...
The cache was quick find and quite lucky to not being caught by the lawn mower.
Thanks for the cache

We searched for a few minutes but nothing was found. Even widening the search did not help.
We were pretty sure we knew what we were looking for. Unfortunately, no luck here today. Thanks anyway TeamThommo.

Today we had a little time to ourselves and decided it was a great day to get out and about so following a trail was a great way to start the day and after finding 13 caches and 3 DNFs it was a nice morning for caching. This was number 7 of our 13 consisting of 12 Traditionals and 1 letterbox.
Thanks Team Thommo for showing us you lovely bike ride we did part in a car and will be back to complete later.
Grand Cache count = 793 total consisting of 741 Traditionals, 23 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 5 Event, 2 Werigo and 1 Letterbox.

A quick grab while driving past. Grabbed and took to the car to open it. On opening, found a massive ant nest that spilt into the car.
Ran with Raspberry Moo for this one - she beat me, not sure how. Made for great posing by ground zero.

This cache was the fifth one I found for today. Parking around the corner in the nearby side-road, we traipsed back for this one.
Today with Raspberry Vinegar and Raspberry Moo, we headed out and did a small handful despite the serious rain. It was good to get out, and we will have to come back to collect the rest in this series when time next permits.
