Yay, found it. Despite all the earthworks in the area, the cache is safe for now. This cache completes a challenge for us, being 170-180km from home, and that challenge gets us nearly over the line for another challenge!
Thanks for the cache.

After a big day yesterday hitting Marybourgh hard I spent the night again in the Alan and June Brown car park and woke to a short morning of caching before heading back to Brisbane and the Stones Corner festival.

I started the morning with a few local caches in the Maryborough town centre and worked my way South.

All caches were found quickly and in good condition. Signed and returned to there hiding place. Very glad to turn these caches into smilies and look forward to heading back up this way again to find a heap more.

A big thanks to the cache owners for making these caches available to be found by fellow cachers

Cheers

We headed to stay in Maryborough for a family funeral in a nearby town of Burrum heads due the drive and we decided to set out to find this cache to turn it into a yellow smiley face on our way through.

Before leaving the new geocar (Track my adventures here D78QWZ) we read the description, hint, confirmed the difficulty and terrain and pervious finder logs. We set off to walk over towards the posted GZ for the search to commence. DFC and Princess1005 was directing us to where we needed to go. We started to walk towards GZ, we were discussing about where this geocache could possibly located. We have driven past this cache many times on our way to the farm and always meant to stop but never had time or was always towing the float. This one took us longer than it should have to find due to a muggle pulling up close by midsearch.

Thankfully after a small search DFC had the cache in hand, and we added our little ink mark to the logbook. The cache container and logbook were prefect today. While JLK and MummaBear66 headed back to the geocar to start writing this log. The cache logbook appeared to be nice and dry.

Thank you for the cache placement and maintenance Sweet – Sour

TFTC. We decided to explore a little south of Maryborough. It looked like a good day to do some caching. We planned a loop to Gunalda and return. We were ok one way but we decided to abandon the return until next time. A pleasant couple of hours for 14 caches and exploring a new area. Thanks Sweet-Sour for the fun.

Found with Nyssaflutterby on our escaping reality for the weekend road trip!
We had a plan to find the most caches in a day for both of us (for me just 52, for Nyssa 122!) so after completing a trail we continued on caching for the rest of the day. We could have found a lot more but the heat was against us.
This was our last cache for the day. Thanks for all the caches Sweet-sour which helped us get to the number we needed!

Wombles and I were on a mission today. A week ago I had a crazy idea of trying to better my top finds in a day. So this is how we found ourselves in this part of QLD. With a new power trail available it was the perfect place. We had just completed all of the available 101 series and now only needed about another 20ish caches.

WOOHOO!!!! Big Grin This cache marks my highest finds in a day at 122. It was getting late so we decided to stop here. Still a long drive back to Brisvegas.
We had no hassles leaving our marks on the log.

Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour Big Grin

Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log.JABs.

My wife isn't really into caching and so asking her to be a navigator is pointless. However, today she was right on point counting down the metres and even picking the best place to park. Normally I would want to save all my excitement for the hotel room but to have a caching buddy was priceless. I felt like I was being set up for something so I made sure my wallet was zipped up tight and went on the hunt.

When we park less than 50 metres away from a cache I don't even expect my wife to get out of the car but she was out and following me to GZ. I left the car running so she could enjoy the air-con but she seemed to be enjoying caching. I had better find a doctor quick because something is wrong with her.

A nice quick find and we could continue our drive to Maryborough. tftc

12-Nov-17
Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc

Find number 311

Had to drop the kids back to their mums house today so made the drive from Hervey Bay back down to Beaudesert. Luckily had no time restraints on the way home so why not make the most of it and cache along the highway. Somehow turned a 5 hour trip into a 7 hour trip but hey, it was worth it right?

This one was fairly straight forward, the hardest part was navigating the 100 trillion spider webs from the car to the cache. Cache was quickly signed and replaced, before trying to choose the same path back to the car to avoid more spider webs!

Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour Big Grin

Kanyan hear the trucks Fernando ??
I remember long ago another sunny day like this,
In the shrubberies Fernando !! Razz
I could hear the distant trucks,
And sounds of muggle calls were coming from afar.

They were closer now Fernando [:o]
Every hour every minute seemed to last eternally.
I was so afraid Fernando.
I am young and full of life and not at all prepared to DNF !! [:o]

And I'm not ashamed to say,
The quick find in the gums and concrete almost made me cry Smile
If I had to find this cache again ....
.... I would, my friend, Fernando Big Grin
