I had a couple of challenge cache requirements to fulfil today as well as the desire for some exercise. The rail trail from Ballarat to Skipton as well as a couple of caches nearby fit the bill perfectly. After picking up my daily puzzle cache and driving to the Smythe's Creek cemetery it was onto the rail trail for a decent bit of exercise.
Almost all caches were found with only one DNF even after a PAF. Oddly enough it was perhaps the least likely to be muggled of the lot and yet..? My thanks to all the cache owners for providing an afternoon of solid entertainment.

We managed to get half a day off work today so we thought that the best thing we could do with our time was head off to an event picking up a few caches along the way.
This series seemed interesting as we had a bit of time to spare before the event started and as it was quite chilly we chose the driving method which worked out quite well for the five we found.
We found all the cache co-ords to be accurate and as the cache page says they were all relatively easy hides in logical places.
This one was found near a nice walking track that was getting plenty of use today.
We only managed five today so we will have to return to find the rest.
Thanks BallaratGeocachers for the cache.eclipse tin in amcal railing

I've had this series solved for way to long, thankfully I had grabbed them as they have come in handy for the Planetary souvenirs.
Journeyed up the highway with simsfamily under the cover of darkness to what feels like a second home for caching.
A quick driveby, I was waiting to be asked if I wanted fries with that.

After work tonight I was heading out to a Pursue the Planets event near home when I got a message from Ausfox; saying he was thinking of heading up the highway to Ballarat to try and get a little further out toward the out planets of our Solar System.
We have been grabbing a few of this series every time we have been in Ballarat lately and that seems to be more often than not lately. This one Ausfox; nearly got without even needing to get out of the car. I didn't even unbuckle my seat belt
Thank you BallaratGeocachers for a nice little series

Down in Ballarat spending the night at a motel, for the 100k bicycle ride on Sunday. With some spare time before tea we went for a walk and grabbed some caches in the area.
A nice walk from the back of the caravan park to this one. As soon as we seen the area and with the hint given we knew exactly where to look and we were right. Signed log and now back to the Motel to go out for tea.

Staying nearby and decided we were going to find some quick caches. Thank you! - webbers
Up in Ballarat for the day visiting my Mother in law and after a quick stop for lunch managed to squeeze in a short burst of caching while the rest of the family did some last minute shopping.
I had got the come and pick us up call at this stage but couldn't resist one more find on the way back. So after dashing in and out after finding the cache I had to make tracks before I got in too much trouble. Thanks for the cache Ballarat Geocachers.

I wasn't too hopeful about finding this cahe since it was last logged in August but it was quickly found. The walking track along the water way was serene and relaxing, just the thing needed after a hectic excursion to Sovereign Hill with the schools. Thanks for the cache along trail worth exploring. I would like to return and find the other caches in the series.
Continued on our journey this afternoon with geodog, we drove then walked a little, lovely area. Nice easy find, no muggles around. Thanks BallaratGeocaches
A quick find for us today.
Nice to get a few caches whilst in Ballarat. Tftc

As I walked up to Gz, I couldn't see the cache so I had to put my hand into the unknown and hope for best. It paid off without any bites. Cigc. Tftc
After setting up camp for the night in Eureka, we walked into Ballarat for dinner and a concert. Of course, we chose small streets and the nice walking paths that provided us with a few finds for the day.
For this one, we knew from quite a distance where we would have to look - and we were right.

Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
A travel day today as we head from Ballarat to Seymour.

Easy! Though Zedaycee and Tally Tiger looked right at it (despite it being a classic cache hide) they didn't see it!

Been in Victoria for three weeks walking the Great Ocean Walk (100k) and the Goldfields Track (200k). Collected / found numerous caches along the tracks and nearby towns. TFTC.
My hubby was way too quick for me... He's done so well today.... I've left my geo eyes at home today.
Quick find today while adding another to the list on my 31 day challenge. Tftc but it's not a Sistema!
In Ballarat to attend 50 50 50 50 50 GUESS WHO TURNS 50!!! and decided to go get some caches during the day.
Managed to find this one after a drive around the area, then realised we had to go for a walk to actually get it.
Anyway signed the log and we were off to the next one.

A trip to Ballarat, to try and tidy up a few errant caches to the east, turned out to be a freezing and somewhat frustrating day. This one was missing in action when we first started this series last year, so it was good to tick it off today - U know!
Our thanks to BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache.

After starting from the wrong end this took us longer then it should have. When I decided I better check where I 'thought' it would be, there it was. Left us feeling pretty silly! Big muggle party happening across the street (on a freezing cold night!) so we had to be as quiet as little mice! TFTC. Nice cammo! Not sistema?
Kids free for a curriculum day so we have come up to grandma's for the day. Freezing, windy, raining off and on, perfect for a spot of caching (keeps the muggles away). Quick finded for the kids. TFTC.
10:05:00 AM. The better half decided to take the GPS while I was working and found this cache. Log signed. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache.
Out again on the push bike. Was a bit damp, but that meant the muggles left me alone.
Was in the first place I looked. Pity I had to look there three times.
This was find 4 of 7 finds for today, being found at 9:01:00 AM.
Thanks BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache and bringing me here.

A nice easy walk with the family on this rather nice morning. We made 4 easy finds which made the walk even better as the kids seem to be getting a worse case of geoadiction than their parents at the moment. Not that I am complaining of course
Thanks for the hides BallaratGeocachers.
