Out on a bike ride, cache hunting, done a 50km loop on a nice hot day. Thanks For the cache Bitsprayer.
After spending most of my time out Oxford way it was a mad dash though Rangiora for the newer caches. Made a series of quick finds which was just a well because I only got home with 15 minutes to spare before I had to go to with the wife.
Spotted when I was poking my head into the wrong bush.

A quick find today.
About to return the container and a lovely older muggle approached to share some additional info about the historic site.
Apparantly the house did not actually sit on this exact site but more like a few houses down by the corner.
A conversation ensued about some other local history- the monument provided some good cover for lurking around GZ and she left none the wiser and we were able to return the container and carry on our way back to Chch.

Time to tidy up a few caches in and around Rangiora and put some more smiley faces on the map. Nice easy find..... Cheers!
Swtgeo found this one after some confusion maybe not the safest place to put it?
Nice cache! I added a replacement log (not waterproof sorry) but may need a wee ziplock bag to keep it dry. TFTC!
Went for a walk after I had a feed, and stopped by here. Quickly located however there was no log in the container, weird. All good I live close so I'll drop one off soon. Thanks for the placement! #3098
A nice park to have a picnic and to kick a ball around a quick easy find thanks FastFrames
This cache was soaked. I used my car heater to dry it out. Had to remove a paper log that was beyond the point of no return, however the waterproof one is still ok now it's dry, but it's fulI. I've added a very roughly cut up new paper log. TFTC
Have loitered here a few times but it is a very busy little playground. Finally caught a break just on dusk. Not where I first thought, but quick find before the light faded.
Playground was empty so I didn't need to look suspicious as I ducked into the bushes here. Not in the first place I checked but safely tucked away in the second. TFTC # 13,984
A quick snag here but the log is wet. Left a temp RITR log to keep this one rolling along. Cheers
Its Thursday - day two - Rangiora - Lyttleton today. K2R cycle is in the bag. So lets go exploring in Toby and see where the Geotrail takes us today.
Its Waitangi Day - day one of a five day weekend exploring the amazing Canterbury, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack and Jill. Two days Rangiora, a day in Lyttleton and 2 days in Banks Peninsula. I got call from The Seagnoid, hes taking a long weekend. Lets go to the West Coast! Lets Go!! but maybe not the West Coast - rain on the way. So lets go to Canterbury. We leave for Christchurch Tuesday evening after picking up The Seagnoid after work. We make camp for the night at Amberly. Today its off to Rangiora for a cycle trip.

In just two visits and one month this log has had to be replaced again! Maybe the container is the problem.
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). Three days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.

Found, replaced log book and provided a small plastic snap lock bag to keep dry!
Still wandering around town waiting for the mechanic to finish my WoF.
This was a quick find (lucky given the traffic).
The lid doesn't seem watertight any more as I had to shake out water and dry the log sheet with a towel. Unfortunately florists paper is waterproof but most pens won't write on it while wet. Its dry now, but I don't know how long that will stay true.
Oh, the log is full too. I found a spot where the water had removed a previous signature (around January) and signed there. My spare logs are all in the geomobile (with the mechanic) so I couldn't replace this one. Maybe the next to find could bring a new log?

One of seven caches located on a short Sunday afternoon outing, rather dreary weather that it was! No-one in the park today. Found reasonably quickly. #1821. TFTC.
TFTC. Out hunting down the name series with kotukuSI and then onto pickup a few caches in Rangiora.
This was about number 5 cache of the day that was placed by FastFrames. Thanks for providing so much entertainment
So a great day out with all names accounted for and a few others found along the way.
Thanks FastFrames for placing the cache.

Another lovely neighbourhood park; thanks for this cache, FastFrames.

Passing on the way to visit family so stopped to grab this one. Took longer than should have but got there in the end. Tftc an smiley
We had dinner at the local Thai restaurant = highly recommended = and then found time to find a few caches on our way back o the motel.
We were surprised and pleased to find that we’d arrived at a place of historic interest when there was no mention of it on the cache page.

I went out for a day of caching, with no specific plans, just picking the next one off the map. I realised that I did not include many going north in the PQ, so heading west would be my best bet. Luckily I was here early enough to avoid all the little muggles - they may have been awake but the parents would not be that keen to head out first thing lol! TFTC!!
Today Injeanious and I started early and left home at 7am aiming to complete our biggest geocaching day ever. We started in Templeton before heading to Thompson Track and Rangiora. Altogether we found 126 caches in 14 hours. We had maybe 3 DNFs all day so felt very successful, although very tired.
Thanks to all the cache owners for helping us with our great day!
Sorry for the cut and paste logs but there were too many caches to log individually.
We signed our logs as JeJe to save time and space.

Jess.daphne and I decided to beat our personal best caching day of 51 finds and try to get 120. We did better than that coming home with 127 finds! We started our mission at 7 am heading to Thompson's Track, then we went up to Rangiora before getting home just before 9 pm. An epic day. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches. We signed our logs as JeJe (and JeJeBu when The Burnsey joined us). Sorry for the cut and paste logs.
A muggle was casually smoking by GZ when we arrived. The sight of us scared them off and we made a quick find. Tftc!

We thought Christmas day would be an ideal time to re-visit this cache, and we were right as the park was deserted. Even so, we had consulted the hint for a quick in and out as muggles can appear out of nowhere. After tussling unnecessarily with thorny roses, StreetWalker found the cache.
Good to get another Rangiora cache smileyfied. TFTC.

#13621. After a DNF last time, we were pleased to find the playground deserted. We searched the harder to reach places first, only to eventually find the cache in an easily accessible location, TFTC.
Mrs p grabbed this one. took longer than it should have. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc FastFrames. Find # 3428
There were a couple of family groups in the park, so I read the plaque while StreetWalker made a quick grope according to the hint but had to retreat as one group of muggles were looking our way.
In the region for a few days for work but with a bit of spare time to go out caching. No problems here. Cache quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
After checking in to my Motel, and decided I might as well look for few more while going to get curry for dinner. Cheers and TFTC
Finally find this cache. Not that it is a difficult cache but everytime I have been here before there have been teenagers sitting within a few metres of the cache.
I made the mistake of not zipping up my jacket pocket and when I got to the next cache I realised that my camera had fallen out. I dashed back and found the camera by nearly standing on it as it was hidden by the tussock.

Out caching with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) while down for the CHC mega event. This was one of the caches we visited along the way. Thanks to all the owners of caches we found! TFTC
Caching after the nearby event. Pull up. Pile out. Rush across the grass. Who will be first to spy it this time!?!? TFTC.
Found after the nearby 'Twilight' pre-Mega event. Funny to bump into Dr Bogan here - my workmate back in Wellington and oft-times caching partner in crime!

This Cache was found during our Christchurch Mega Road Trip from the Deep South. We had had tea and where doing a few quick caches as we went back to our accomodation. A fabulous time was had exploring the region and discovering caches. All in all, a fun road trip with Granville86a, Mrs Hazzer and KiwiGeoswami, we signed the log as a Team under the name P.E.G.S to save both time and logsheet spaces. Thank you for the cache!

Day before the mega, and needed a quick one.
I had just been out getting prizes for the mega, and before that, trying to get car parts for the brothers car... it was a hectic time!!
So ended up finally being free after all the shops were closed and errands were done.
BAM! Cache time. Picked this one in the hopes playground would finally be empty, and I'd be free to search. And sure enough! Yay!
Made for an almost instant find!

Found with Chosen1978, Mrs Hazzer and Kiwigeoswami as team PEGS on our way to CHCH Mega. We got this one after having a meal in Rangiora before heading to our accomodation in Kaiapoi.
