I think it's missing

09-Mar-21
Unable to locate this cache even with previous logs and photos looks to have gone missing. Time for a co check

Used the info provided by LPN, but unfortunately no luck for us today.

Wp and final cache need attention. Looks to be missing.

04-Aug-20
This cache needs a bit attention but I still found it.
I saw that people were having trouble with it so I did my homework and looked at old logs.
The photos and info in them pointed me to where the final would be but I still looked for the first waypoint.
I found nothing there. The local dogs in the surrounding houses knew I was there though. The barking started and just kept on being a nuisance. I was surprised no one came out to look at what what going on.
I decided I would go find the final using the info I had. Crunching leaves under my feet set the dogs off even more.
I got to the final area and checked all the trees...nothing found. I rechecked using a stick to dig deeper... Nothing found.
I gave in.... As I walked back out I saw the cache container out in the open just laying there.
That was lucky as it was 10m from the nearest tree.
I placed it back near the one with the bark that " Dark Energys" photo shows it near and covered it with bark.
The cache needs some sorting out by the CO or you can do what I did...
Look for the tree at the back LH side(from the direction you are entering the park). Be prepared for lots of dogs barking.

Couldn't find WP1, so checked the logs and saw that it hadn't been seen for a while, but that finders had pushed on, so I did as well. Crunching through the dry leaves, I managed to set off every dog in the district while looking for the crack only to find that the crack was also MIA. Kept on searching the base of all of the trees multiple times until a neighbour poked her head over to make enquires as to what I was doing firing up the neighbourhood dogs. Cut my losses and left with my tail between my legs.

Found the cache in the open. Re-hid under tree barks behind the tree. SL TFTH jlotsos.

Tftc couldn't find first but found second

Also found with dcolman

Following PPs lead I eventually spotted the cache out in the open, not surprising with recent storms. Not sure where it should have gone I placed it low down and covered with a light layer of cammo. Never knew this was here, and such a shame it hasn’t been restored to a more useful area for the locals. Gorgeous trees are an attraction in themselves.

24-Mar-18
We never did find WP1 but used our geo sense to hone in on the final & were soon signing the logbook. TFTC

10-Jan-18
Found the second one. Not the first part

11-Sep-17
Found it, looking for cracks but not really in a crack. TFTH

27-Jul-17
I had a appointment nearby and with no need to return to work I decided to do a spot of caching. Found WP1 without any issues once I had the right co ords loaded (after not realising I had the parking waypoint loaded initially). Ater that though things were not looking up for me. Read though some previous logs and just bounced around from tree to tree in the general vicinity as WP1 had suggested. Bingo!!! Notice some strange natural camo and there it was. Found cache with a replacement log but no signatures on it. Looks like it had been hiding out for awhile. Cache was the same type as WP1. So you need caching instinct more than co ords for this one. The cache has been muggled. We found this here. Not sure if this is the new one.

25-Jun-17
We found the new one yay!!

07-May-17
Found WP1 but unsure where to go from here if the tree with the crack has been removed.

10-Apr-17
The tree with the crack has been removed and the cache went with it, has been replaced and ready to be found

15-Mar-17
I also found first one but second one could not be found.

23-May-16
Found the first way point but not the second/final after a good look around every possible option. May have been muggled?

27-Apr-16
Headed out today to grab a couple of caches in between the rain. I got a bit confused with this multi....I found the first WP laying on the ground so after reading the info i placed it in the fork of the tree. I then walked around for ages looking for the next WP and was about to give up when i spotted it. I opened it up and there was info for the next WP but the description now says there isnt a 3rd WP. Since there was no log book i put in a piece of paper to sign and put it back in the crack....TFTC Jlotsos

19-Mar-16
Found but there is no log sheet in there anymore.

16-Jan-16
We had this one on our GPS to do for a while now and finally got around to it. We should have read the logs before going because we didn't realise the final was no longer there. We looked around for a while at most trees the dogs were happy. Great little park for tree climbing, use to drive past here heaps of times when we lived closer. Thanks jlotsos for your multi hide.

14-Jan-16
Had a day out caching with Helbren, Barnzy12 and jlotsos mainly to knock off as much of the 'Julimar Wander' series that we could plus a few others along the way.

Arrived early at jlotsos's house and conned him into coming down to this one with me. Came up with the quick find at the final, always handy when the CO is by your side. Big Grin

jlotsos I found your cache at 8:33am, this was the 1st of 41 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2705. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Due to the final cache disappearing again, i have changed it to a simple 2 step multi.
What was stage 2 with a clue, is now the final with log book.
Same location and all ready to go.

After my last visit where confusing took hold I contacted the CO for a hint. Turns out I had located GZ but did not have the eyes open wide enough. Wink

Thanks jlotsos for the cache.

08-May-15
Found WP1 and then WP2 after checking a number of trees. Read the clue and started look for the cache. I thought I found the required GZ but could not find the cache. Checked a number of trees but left after completely confusing myself. SmileSmile

Thanks jlotsos for the cache.

06-May-15
Went and checked on way point 1 and found it not far from where it should be, have placed it a little higher off the ground. Waypoint 2 is also in position and the final cache also is ready to be found. My local muggle kids who live next door have signed the log and added some advice to the front and back of the log hehe Smile will replenish some swaps soon.

Hey jlotsos! I finally found your cache "The forgotten park" - GC5KYRP.

It was obvious I needed to phone a cacher lifeline and luckily I had the cache owner on speed dial

The cache was found in good condition. The listed coordinates are quite accurate for waypoint one.

This was my #1 find for today.

My overall count is at #255.

This cache was found on 22/03/2015 at 6:06 pm

We came down the road to meet up with some new caches that we saw were still at the cache. They drove off and we missed them but noticed 2 kids at the cache tree with cache in hand. They ran as we approached and I called out your not in trouble, they stopped and said is this yours? I explained what it was and that they could be geo helpers. The boy then said that the girl had my "muggled" cache in her room. I said they could keep it as a prize. Lol the things that happen geo caching....

Our first multi very interesting to find tftc today ☺☺☺☺☺

18-Mar-15
Geo mum found the forgotten park with geo grandson who loved the climb, closer to waypoint two than i first thought Wink and brought some trackables back to Perth to drop off as well

Went and had a look tonight at the cache and waypoints, glad it got found again today well done mum visiting from Adelaide. The neighbors fence is being replaced so please use STELTH as there is no cover while finding waypoint one at the moment. All seems in order and i grabbed a few TB as the cache was packed. Have fun!!!

jlotsos - jinta29 had to DNF your cache The forgotten park on 20/02/2015 6:06 am. I searched but didn't find the cache

No luck for me again today

20-Feb-15
After my visit here yesterday the CO kindly sent me an email offering some encouragement and a hint to the cache location. I was planning to come and pick up the newly published 'The Forgotten Park 2' nearby so I decided to drop in for another look here.

Parked up in a familiar spot and headed over to my GZ, which by the way is a different tree to the one in the posted pic. Had a look around with the new information in hand but all I found was my own confusion. Went and checked out a different GZ but still no luck. I was running out of time in my (extended) lunch-break and had to move on.

Only now, while compiling this log, I notice an attribute for this cache that I didn't spot before. Might have to bring the geodaughter along on my next visit... she likes climbing trees.

19-Feb-15
Had a bit of spare time around lunchtime today so decided to see if I could track down this multi. Also I had some inside info that a new hide may be published in this area soon as well, so maybe kill two birds with one stone.

Parked up around 12:30 and found the first waypoint easily enough but the second took a bit more searching. Then it was off to the final, I'm quite sure I had the right tree with the clue given but couldn't locate the cache, checked a couple of other spots but no joy there either.

To top things off, as expected, a new cache was published around the corner but several hours after I was in the area, so I ended up killing no birds with no stones. I will be back though.

TFTH

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Busselton at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2015' event. Registrations now open.

11-Feb-15
Hey jlotsos! Today was not the day to find your cache "The forgotten park" - GC5KYRP.

The listed coordinates are quite accurate. This cache was not found on 11/02/2015 at 8:32 pm

Maybe looking at night time wasn't my thing in finding waypoint 2, and I did suspect 2 trees for climbing however, if I do find the 2nd waypoint, I may not be able to climb them for my body size

11-Feb-15
I decided to have a crack at this one since it was repaired last night and local kids should still have been in school. I'm not really very good with hints such as these, yet I managed the first two points quickly but the final took me a little while with a fair bit of head scratching. I managed to match hint 2 with a larger tree up front before finally locating the cache. SL. I was tempted to nick the Merlion but had nothing with me to swap for it Sad. SL and replaced. Thanks to jlotsos for the cache - a great little multi and close to home as well.

10-Feb-15
I found the first two waypoints without too much trouble. However the neighboring dogs started barking Sad. I went back to the car til they quiet ended down then had another look for the final. No luck and if it was in the tree that the phot was taken at then I would think that it may be missing

jlotsos - jinta29 had to DNF your cache The forgotten park on 10/02/2015 5:44 am. I searched but didn't find the cache

10-Feb-15
Take two a new cache has been placed and update to hint and difficulty level... lets hope this one lasts a bit longer Smile enjoy

09-Feb-15
Hello Jinta29, checked the cache and sadly you are correct has been muggled Sad a new feeling in geocaching for us i won't tell the kids… thanks for looking for our cache and will replace after work today.
