Found it out and about with annabella02 kezzacosmo , and a muggle ( who would be an excellent cacher! ) Love these inventive caches , thanks
Visiting from Sydney found with annabella02 sassieold55 and muggle friend. TFTC.
Found with sassieold55,kazzacosmo and a muggle friend, had no trouble getting the info we needed this time around, a few dirt bike riders here as well having a day out, a fav point, TFTC
Ruining around the dirt roads with Dazzpete enjoying a day out in the 4wds, and this was the next one to come up on the screens, and our interest was even greater it being a multi. We wandered around a bit before the penny dropped and then the required tool was applied until the GZ co-ords revealed themselves, then it was an en-masse assault on GZ where we signed our lives away in the logsheet.
*Found on the 16 Jul 2023 @ 2:12 pm.*
*Cache find # 14852.*
Today I headed out to the Otway Forest Park and Paddy's Swamp area for a bit of a tour around on my bike and finding caches as I went.
After getting organised at Tanners Campground, I then headed out on the bike and started making my way towards Paddy's Swamp, trying to knock off a few from this Bambra series.
Well just as well there was plenty of the needed tool nearby as the stuff I was carrying was for me, but I did have an empty vessel, the coordinates were soon gathered and I was off to GZ where the cache was found shortly after.
**Thanks to The_Tritonz for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

We stopped here but the GPS was all over the shop, as we were on a time limit we will come back.
Although we have been through here before, we were hungy and looking for a place to stop to have lunch.
We pulled in, grabbed some shade.
We decided to once again locate this cache for the fun of it all.

Ha ha! The geokids can't deny me today! We're out for family geocaching adventures, and all the whingers have to suck it up!
Luckily we did. Mr 17 made the WP1 find, and we grabbed the information in short order. I was a bit concerned that one of the items had no cap, but with it inverted on top of the other, all seemed okay.
There was a mad dash to GZ, which B and E practically made together 20 to 30 m ahead of the guy with the GPS.
Thanks heaps, Tritonz!
PS. Take a fave for the sciency fun.
PPS. My find #1700. Watch out 2000, I'm comin' for ya!

Oooo I like this one and so did Mr. 15, 17 and 19. Wespro had us looking in the wrong spot for the waypoint but Nicky saved us and widened the search area ie looked in the opposite direction. A favourite from us
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.

Out and about with Dromaniax on this chilly Sunday night!! We decided this afternoon that we would go on an adventure to collect a handful of smiley faces and this series is on the list!!
This was a fun cache to complete which took us WAY longer than it should due to the GPS playing silly buggers. Everything is in good condition here. FP for sure!!

Donutholes asked me if I would like to go caching tonight. The weather at the time was wet, wild and wintry, but the answer is pretty much always yes; who cares about the weather.
We had planned to cache this area a month or so back but were sidetracked by a possible FTF in Melbourne, and today was the day we chose to cache this area.
The Bambra Series was the main target for the night. It had turned out to be a pretty clear night with an almost full moon. However, we did drive through some very thick fog and had to keep an eye out for kangaroos. No kangaroos were harmed in the finding of these caches.
Both Dountholes and I like a gadget cache and fortunately, we had some Dihydrogen Monoxide on board so were able to obtain the coordinates to find the cache.
The cache was in excellent condition.
Thank you for this cache The_Tritonz.

Excellent take on an old idea. I do think this one has the edge, so a favourite from me. Clue didn’t help for the series though. Thanks for keeping things interesting!
Enjoy my journey through Bambra series and cache.

Came with new coordinate vials only to find the old ones both still there, 1 was just a little stuck. So after a clean out and fresh vials returned it’s working beautifully.
Thanks to the previous finders we have learnt half of the multi information is missing. Will replace soon.
The first time I came here I couldn’t find where the first waypoint was. I’m just going to blame my iPhone because I can The second time I came here, which was today, I had gotten a message from ConnieandRick letting me know that the East coordinates were missing and to just reach out if I wanted to know what they were. They knew I was coming out here today and I thank them for getting back to me when yes indeed, the first vial was there but the second one wasn’t, even though I tipped a whole 750ml of water where it needed to go, you know, just to be sure. I messaged ConnieandRick and also the CO but the internet out here is sketchy as and I decided to move on and finish the other caches. The required answer finally got through and I had the East coordinates in hand! While I was waiting this morning, I’d had a quick look around, having an idea of where the cache was and looking at the hint. If I had gone a little further in my search I may just have found it! One thing is for certain, the log is now signed and it’s another find for me. TFTC
Went for a mountain bike at Forrest . Picked up some supplies from brewery after hot thirsty day on trail- nice to arrive at a quiet waterhole. decided to pick up this trackable on the way home. Fun satisfying cache and cute TB
After some hairy moments trying to take a short cut further north, we were able to settle the heart rate and grab a great cache here. Always nice with these field puzzles to be able to be able to utilise the natural environment. Enjoyed the double and a short walk had a GZ with a few likely spots. Process of elimination paid off and we left a TB for the next finder to pass on. TFTC, a fav from us!
I made much to harder work for this than needed.
Firstly I was not prepared.
But someone was looking nicely on me and left me with an instrument.
So I headed over to the crystal clear blue oasis and went to work.
Before long I had a likely gz.
Well so I thought.
A short drive and then a walk of 150m down hill was not the answer.
As it turned out I was dislexic in my number entering.
So a quick workou up hill again back in the car to a diferent spot.
Well this was better and I signed the log.

How. Much. Does. This. Thing, Take????? So deceptive. one of the better puzzles like this I’ve come across. Definitely made for a good laugh. A pit stop at the dam needed to refill. Reggie and I enjoyed drinking and swimming in the pristine dam water... well not really but it did make for a scenic location and a memorable cache. A FP from me.
Done a maintenance run today and this one is tucked away still in its hiding position.
Eventually found the waypoint with coords but sadly I think my GPS is out of wack as can't find GZ
Seen a few of these caches around in our travels. Took a sec to find WP1 as gps wouldn’t get us closer then 15m but put our caching hats on and soon had it.

I loved this cache. I had all of the necessary requirements for the first waypoint where I got the information for GZ. After a short walk I had the cache in hand. I signed the log and replaced and left a TB. Thanks The Tritonz.
Been away and catching up, whenever I can, with late logs now that Tag along and I are back.
Out with sorceysal on a cool and showery day in the Otways.
Very cool now and misty rain settling in. Lots of water I guess. Found what was needed at first way point . That was different! Luckily I was expecting that after reading the hint.
Another crossed off the list .

Found! Great little mission at the start. First geocache with problem solving
A rare Tuesday of caching with 6hinemoa2 to complete a few along the way and the Bambra series. We really enjoyed this lovely area but as usual in the Otways is was raining and this made for some difficult finds.
This had us all over the place to start with until the GPS settled and we found the first wp in the misty rain. Got the required numbers and quickly had the log signed. Thanks Chris and Lorraine.

BFMC put out a call for some company and was planning a first to find hunt much further afield than Banbra but when the cache was found the plans changed. I had also been held up in Melbourne not getting home till very late too allowing Neville_devil to join us finishing up his normal Friday night activities. By the time we got going the Bambra series was chosen as out destination and one last journey in my car before it was returned next week.
A nice little multi again it was just Neville_devil signing the log book here with BFMC already having found this one.

I had plenty of water on board so I was well prepared. However a failure to read the cache notes meant I had only my southerlies...
Better use a bit more of the watery stuff me thinks.
now I had the easterlies.
Time to find your cache which was done in good order.
Did a clue get recorded?.. not sure
Thanks

The waypoint was quickly found,
and a set off coords too ....
.... oh !! [:o]
Make that half a set of coords
That's enough I 'spose,
so off I trotted for a few minutes,

After the first event in Colac I teamed up with Phetlern, Alansee and au.fait for the rest of the day's caching, in and around the area. We grabbed the final co-ordinates with the appropriate solution, then headed to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for the cache.

Found with Muzza. Got wp1 alright but not quite there! You will know what I mean! An easyfind at GZ.
A rather fun multi here, which was luckily quick to execute for me today. What sensible geocacher wouldn’t have water in the car? Thanks so much for placing this cache The_Tritonz, a favourite for part 1, AND because there was no naked yoga here.
Another lovely day in the Otways collecting caches as I enjoy being in the bush. Really enjoyed this well constructed cache. Definitely worth a favourite point TFTC The Tritonz
Today's work adventures called for a trip to Warrnambool, so off I set early in the morning with the goal of knocking off a few caches while I was at it. A couple in the morning, a quick mission at lunchtime and a couple more on the way home netted me a decent day's finds. Heavy, overcast conditions meant the phone GPS was a couple of meters less reliable than usual, particularly in the morning. Happy to report no DNF's as a result but a couple of times I had to pull back, assess the situation and let the geosenses take over.
After picking up the FTF on the latest in this series on the weekend I noticed some new information in the description of this one that peaked my interest. For once I did my research in advance and came prepared. Information extracted from WP1 and I was soon on my way to GZ where I found what I was looking for. And a cache as well. A nice fun multi in a rather peaceful spot, even spotted a rather well built (but extinguished) campfire nearby.

Dropped by here to grab this multi but unfortunately (caution spoiler ahead) the 2nd tube was stuck in the bottom and l couldn’t dislodge it. Used my cache extraction tool but still no joy. Might need a deconstructed coat hangar to dislodge it from the bottom.
We came for a quick trip down to Bambra to repair the cache. The second vial was indeed stuck. All good now.
We, the two of us, have a terrible record on multis, so alone l had serious misgivings about attempting this one. Pulled up, the Samsung tablet went "tring" and l was encouraged. What ensued was pure pantomime. Without giving too much away, it took me 3 liquid phases to manically grab a device and l then thought l may have had only half the info for progressing to step 2. Some time back we had mastered the way to use the app to take us to the cache but of course that was some time back and on my own l fluffed it. So l had to hopefully, nay frantically, wander off around the waterhole using a compass app, eyes intent on the screen, wondering if the special Southerly coordinate might pop up. The Easterly coord was being fervently forgotten. Finally the magic numbers , southerly that is, popped up. Was it too much to hope that the Easterly coord had looked after itself. Could the cache be here. Feet rooted to the spot, a sideways glance offered hope. Had l done a multi on my own.? I had. Relief.
This cache was awesome. Took me awhile to figure out what to do, but finally figured it out. Worth it even if I had to sacrifice a drink bottle
Out and about on a localish outing today exploring Winch / Bambra / Angelsea Heath.
Lots of Iron-bark woodlands and slipping and sliding around 4WD tracks!
This one was tricky, as at first only got the Southerlies and went searching in the wrong spot. I tried to brute force, in which I searched maybe 2 or 3m from GZ. I contacted the CO and realised the error, back to WP1 and a quick find! Thanks Tritonz for the nifty little field puzzle in a nice area

Continuing our journey to Bambra we came across this one and while the GPS had the GZ a few metres away my beady eyes spotted something unusual which required further investigation. After a little bit of lateral thinking, and probably not in the manner that the CO intended, we managed to work out where the cache was located to retrieve it. Clever, very clever! It kind of reminds me of another cache (Bostock Res GC3DVCG) we found back in 2014. Like that one I'm going to add this one to my growing collection of favourites! Kudos to "The_Tritonz" for this cache.

With a few days off from work, the plan was to get the geo wheels a little dirty on some tracks off the main roads. I was packed with plenty of fluids, the geo toolkit, the PLB, GPSr packed with geocaches and plenty of snacks to get me through. I really enjoyed this geo adventure, plenty of new sites found over the journey. The wheels were parked and the necessary tool grabbed from the car. I wandered around looking for what I needed to find. Hmmm. I searched a little further away from where the GPSr wanted me and bingo found it. The next stage was fun and different, you sneaky devils you I had what I needed and the cache was found without trouble today. Stamped and replaced as found.

The serenity of the Otway Ranges was a far cry from the frantic festive season preparations going on in town! There was a carpet of flowers and the birds sang all day, as we set about converting some of the long outstanding green boxes to smiley tokens.
First time we have seen a multi which flowed this way - neat and innovative! Definitely deserving of a favourite point - so simple, but so effective.

With only half a day today before heading up to Melbourne, an adventure closer to home was the go. Checked out the map and decided to head out to Bambra and grab as many of this series as we could. We packed a picnic and headed out.
I'd surmised what was going to be needed for this one, so ensured all supplies were included. We parked up and headed for WP1, where a familiar technique was put to use. Entering the revealed information into the GPS, we headed off. Arriving at "GZ", we hunted a while, drawing a blank. I decided to check some past logs, to discover we'd only discovered part of the information! Back to WP1 and repeat. Armed with complete details, we arrived at the real GZ, where a short hunt ensued, dodging someone's thoughtfully placed turds and associated paper...some people are just ignorant pigs.... Pretty soon, the hide was spotted, we retreated a safe distance and signed the log...the paper one...in the cache...
We noted the Tassie TB still in residence, but left him there today.
Then, as our time was running out, we headed off to the Hammond Rd campground for a quick barbie lunch and then home.
A great day caching in our local area, thanks Tritonz !

We were on our way to the coast for a big weekend in Lorne and Anglesea, choosing the inland route to visit this cache during our month of multis challenge.
Despite accurate coords and a clear idea of what we had to expect, we searched for the waypoint for a few minutes: Sometimes, we cannot see the forest for the trees. Anyway, found, tool ready, and there is the info. Hang on, something is missing ... Luckily we had enough charge in our tool to do it all again, and this time the missing half was located. A quick find was made at GZ.
As we like the twist to a familiar type of hide, we left a TB and a favourite point. Bambra is such a pretty area, the other caches in the series were really tempting - however, they will have to wait for another visit as this weekend is one for celebrations and ritual.

Interesting twist. Having found half the coords I headed off down the track to explore the Phone Cache. Then returned to GZ and puzzled over where to go. Decided to use my geosenses and the prize was soon in hand. An FP for something different. TFTC
It was great to be out in the country. Thanks for the thought you have put into this cache.
This cache took quite a while, but with cool weather and mild rain I didn't mind being out here in the woods at all.
I had seen this cache on my map while up the road a little earlier, so while visiting a bridge up the road I took the opportunity of doing some CITO there which would come in handy here. WP1 worked flawlessly as intended, and I soon had my hands on 'half[?]' of what I needed. So I went to what I thought was a likely GZ, and found nothing after rummaging for a while. I knew I was half right. So where to now?
I then walked in a straight line according to my GPSr (well, almost, as I didn't want to be IN the water ) and with a little perseverance and a lot of luck I finally had the cache in hand.
Thanks, Tritonz. A FP from me.

Out caching today with ST37E with the aim to complete the Bambra series and collect some caches in the Gellibrand area. We were lucky enough to have one half of The Tritonz on board with us today to keep us company. We quickly found the 1st waypoint and had what was required to obtain the coordinates. It was a short walk to GZ where ST37E spotted the hide. Thanks for your efforts here.

I thought that I had the right co-ords but after 5 mins of scratching around I still had nothing
So I doubled back to WP1 to reasess and found that I did have the right numbers
Went back to sratch around for a bit and realised just how close I came the first time
Finally signedlog and re hid cache

As luck would have it I came prepared unintentionally. Before my adventure today I figured I should get some high quality h2o at the supermarket. Get to WP1 and open my brand new bottle and poored away!

Suscoe headed out for an Otways journey today and when we left home the sky was clear and sunny.
When we arrived down this way the drizzle set in during the early morning.
Then later in the day things cleared up a little but the clouds stayed for the whole trip.
Find number 6 for the day.
We came prepared and set about dealing with the task at hand.
Soon had GZ worked out and then the search which seemed to take a bit long especially with the drizzle which had decided to now impersonate rain.
The well hidden cache was located and the log signed.
Thanks to The Tritonz for placing this cache and for the work done.

A number of factors aligned today to make for a great day's caching. In need of some photos for a forthcoming blog post, I decided to head in the Bambra direction. As it happened, Geohubby took the day off, so I had some company too.
We arrived at the listed co-ordinates and found ourselves a little underprepared for what was required. Undeterred, we found a way around the problem and soon knew where to look for the cache. A short wander and a longer search than was strictly necessary (I think I had Bob's disease ) and we had the cache in hand and the log signed.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for the cache !

Came prepared with cache requirements, glad I did because it took a couple of goes to get. It then took sometime to get what I needed to sign the the log. Signed & replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache The Tritonz

I came prepared for this one, so I wasn't going to be thirsty for a while. Took me a few minutes to find what I was looking for. Proceeded to add what was required and I was soon rewarded. O.K what's going on here... Re-read the cache notes, what is going on ??? This hide had me bamboozled for a bit. Finally I had what I needed and could continue. There was quite a large animal floating in the dam here. I'm not sure if it was holding it's breath trying to hide from me, or..... [xx(] [xx(] This one had me wandering around for a while, but I got there in the end. A cheeky cache that deseves a fave point, well done . TFTC The_Tritonz.
Found It.....Found this one on the way home after a great afternoon of caching, after reading the cache notes we realized we had the required tools to complete this one (the Geo Dog comes in handy) the first stage was located and the coords for the final was extracted and a quick stroll in the dark soon had us at the final and short search reveled the hide. Thanks The_Tritonz for the cache
FTF
Saw these caches pop up this morning but thought some of the locals would be onto these before I could organise myself but some hours later nothing was happening so set the Bushfire FTF system into gear and shortly we were on the road down to this wonderful area.
I may be the second to log but I was the first to find and that is important to the ageing Bushfire.
Another cache find for today but cachers using phones do be aware that sometimes coverage in this area is very flakey so a GPS is the way to go if possible.
This is a very good cache and there is a twist so be careful.
On my first go nothing happened so out with a couple of Bushfires tool and found out that a couple of locals had taken over the cache and set up home above the container. Whmmmm this calls for an extra tool which is not yet on my web site but proved very handy today as it removed a large cricket and a fair sized spider who had spun a web above the cache and thus prevented it moving.
I still spent ages here but eventually the cache was located and the log signed. A F.P. given for the thought and effort involved in setting this cache up.
