I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Katsicle
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

We found the official geocache info on the opposite side of the path and a container lid. Think someone has destroyed this cache
Cache took us to a new place which was very interesting. No one about today so it was very peaceful. Great find, didnt take too long and daughter was very happy with her find. TFTC
With nothing to do in the evening a little excursion with Janno216 was made to clean out flat bush a little. Sadly due to time we were limited to only a few but they were enjoyable. Thanks for the caches. Parked up on the street and then noticed where the cache was (arghh!) so carefully Janno216 made his way down while I watch from the top and then helped him up again.
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
Nothing to do in the evening, so I made a little tour together with thegreatauk in this area to find some boxes.
After reaching the right place it was an easy one!
Thanks for hiding!

Was relatively easy to find the area in which to search but had to put some effort into actually finding the cache! Found it nice and dry, signed it and re-hid. Tftc.
Up in Auckland to pick up some gear so nabbed some caches along the way
Geocaching day in Flat Bush. Invited by new hides in the area I``ve enjoyed all of them plus some old ones too. Quick find and coordinates bang on. TFTC
Out and about in East Tamaki now that the rain has stopped. Nice quick find. TFTC.
Out on a weekend caching adventure. Found it without trouble. Cache is good. Tftc
There were a few possible hiding spots but it didn't take long to find the right one. Some funny sounding birds nearby...
Lots of pukekos around, and nice walk here. Good thing this wasn't in the rocks across the stream. Tftc
No kakapo, only pukeko. Quick easy find. Nice cache. Great to discover this walkway. Will bring the bikes out here one day.
It was the first day of the school holidays and unlike the previous winter weeks and months, it was dry, dry enough to go out and enjoy the sun trying to poke through the cloud that had gathered around this day. So, what are we to do on such a day? No school (it was Saturday after all) and an urge to get outside and enjoy the dryness and a bit of sun. Geocaching was top on our list as the winter months had mainly left us inside and unable to satisfy our addiction.
We pulled up, as close to GZ as we could get, then it was off for a little walk to get to the path that lead us to GZ. We started along and were wondering what we we looking for when we came across an area that looked like the hint had pointed us to. A little searching and the cache was soon discovered, well hidden from the prying eyes of muggles. The log was signed and the cache replaced.

Nice quick find. Clue may be slightly misleading but nice hide and find. Signed, replaced and covered up.
Was in the area with Jag50 and Merlot58. Quick find as the cache was slightly exposed. Covered up better
Found with Aiden29. It was in the open with the lid not secured but luckily the contents were dry. We rehid better and made sure the lid was shut properly
A lovely pathway, haven't been here before. This area has changed heaps in recent years. Thanks CO for this series, this is only my second so have plenty to go, looking forward to the others. Appreciate the efforts. Just got this done after work before the rain came. TFTC
A lovely quick easy find while doing some more of this series today !
Thanks Katsicle !
Thanks Katsicle !
Another find for Huan here - the hint was very helpful so it didn't take us very long to find the gecache. Took a quick look at the kakapo information which is here, the box is well protected from the elements so everything is in good condition here. I see the kids are from the local high school - we're not from the area but have been past geocaching a couple of times. It's an impressive looking complex of buildings. TFTC.
Mangawhai to Auckland.
Today we drove back to the city, our holiday comming to an end.
So much going on in the last couple of days so I have not been able to log this untill we arrived back in Aussie.
Thanks for placing this cache Katsicle

A great place for a cache. There weren't many muggles around today so we quickly had cache in hand and enjoyed reading about the Kakapo before safely returning it to its hiding spot.
Great flying fox and swings nearby. We were tempted to have a play but were on a mission. Rocky find and managed to avoid being speared by the reinforcing rod sticking out. Subsequently removed and discarded.
Spotted a cool flying Fox on the way to this cache. A quick walk down and quick find if cache. On our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back collecting as many caches as we can. Signed log as b & p . Tftc. Happy caching
Enjoyed the walk around this area on a nice day. Cache is in good condition in this nice little spot. TFTC.
Scotty & Kiwi initially attempted to access this cache from Barry Curtis Park following a trail (to nowhere) which ended abruptly. Could not travel any further due to major earthworks. Headed back to the car and soon we were on the road above the cache. Once at gz we took the hint a bit to literally. After looking for a few minutes we expanded our search area and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the info about the Kakapo. TFTC
After a play on the flying fox we carried on to this one. Needed a walk after our lunch.
A quick find here, after an earlier DNF on another cache today. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC. Plenty of rocks to choose from.

Have an appointment nearby so thought that perhapes a quick cache after the early morning drive up here, fortunatly I only have a couple of caches to get then its a full day of hard work before preparing for a trip south for work.
thanks for the placement
thanks for the placement
Drulisa attempts this one while I finishing off a beer. Was taking to long so I went up and found it soon after lovely night for a walk showers just starting to set in a bit more. Tftc
Nice quick find on my way to work this morning. Didn't see a Kakapo but there was a Peacock there. TFTC
Parked nearby and took a little walk along the path. Got to GZ and spent a bit of time scrabbling about before finally making the find- it was pretty well hidden today, and frustratingly, turned out to be in a place I had already glanced over. Unfortunately log was pretty wet and looked a little chewed, so I put it in a snap lock bag to try and protect it a little. I agree with a previous logger who said the clue should be rocks high! TFTC.
TFTC the cache wasn't exactly hidden when I found it. The container was opened and all the contents was out and about. The log book was quite damp. I am still very happy about finding this cache in the series it is now hidden and all the contents are in the container. Thanks!
Kids were a bit upset so this was a quick park and grab before heading to the park around the corner (and another cache). Log book was damp.
Up in Auckland for a few days with a bit of time to go and find a few caches. This one took me a lot longer to find than it should have done! Once I did find it, I found the log book to be rather damp. I was able to sign it though. TFTC, Biggles.
1st of the day, took a little longer than it should of but we got there on the end! TFTC.
Yea, I agree with the previous cacher, a lot of these roads are still very new and they're not on my gps. Yet they were on my Google maps on my Samsung Galaxy. So was able to get around alright. The cache was soon found, nice little walk-way around here, still much to be done to the area though.
A good reminder to update my maps as I seem to be missing a few blocks around here.

Out and about after work this afternoon for a spot of much earned caching before heading home. I parked on the road above the walk way and leaped down to the walk-way. A quick survey of the situation and there was the cache in the first place I checked for a super quick find. My first attempt at climbing out was unsuccessful but I managed on the second. Cheers for the hide!
As I walked up, I was worried since there was nothing matching the hint. Once I reached GZ, the hint became apparent and there was the cache. TFTC.
Took a short walk from Pukeko to find Kakapo, looks like I am unlikely to ever see one in the flesh unfortunately. Found the cache easily and all in good order. TFTC
Saw some pukekos on the way to this cache. Made a nice quick find. Nice walkway. TFTC
Following cragger and lavals swimming lessons this morning we decided to head out and find a couple more of this series.
Enjoyed finding a new spot that I didn't know was here. The cache was soon in hand and we were able to learn some more about the kapapo. I had no idea there were so few of them!
Thanks for the cache and the information.

Was having a BBQ with some of my geocaching friends and some muggles and then a pile of new caches were set free. One group were out the door in 5 minutes....me and a few others stayed, as we had muggle friends here...but then another batch were released closer to home, so the we got the muggles to come with us.
As we approached GZ another weird person drove up...and it was Bartfound.....good to finally put a face to the voice and emails
So sadly were didn't get the FTF, but got a group STF.

We were enjoying a BBQ nearby with other geocaching friends (and a few muggles) when the notifications started coming in. The first ones were for Puhinui reserve so a few of the teams headed out that way and a few of us stayed behind with the children. Then these notifications came in, they were only a couple of km's from where we were and looked ok for the children too, so a group of 5 cachers and 2 muggles headed out to try our luck. Bartfound passed us as we were pulling up to this one, he had found it but his pen was not working. Second to find here with UncleSamNZ, Darthcacher1, Purply, Eir-ot - but first to sign the log book.
