A nice quick find, with a very useful hint. Last cache for the day. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are off on a cruise around the south of the South. Great to be away. The day was fine, though quite overcast,as we travelled around SouthlandOccassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Quick find but unfortunately needs to be replaced no log in sight to sign but found the cache container
Thanks!! Nice one, was actually at work and found this on my break... got me back into geocaching its been years!!!!
Up to Lumsden for the night, then back to ChCh tomorrow. Get some in before I go, and hopefully ahead of the rain... See how that pans out. Nice and easy.. Cheers!
I also have ties to Makarewa, Fond memories of visiting my great aunt and uncle who lived further along the state highway. Another aunt was a cook at the hospital for many years and I also worked there one Christmas holiday in my university days and now a second cousin has recently moved back here too. Nice quick find thanks southlandicebergs. TFTC # 20,529
Quick easy find knocking off some of the Makarewa caches on a Sunday morning, TFTC
Finally an opportunity to reduce our solved puzzle list and pick up trades as we went. The rain didn't dampen our spirits and a good day caching was had. TFTC
Out and about grabbing some caches between showers.

Heading home in the rain so it is a day of park and grabs. The object it IDs hidden at has certainly seen better days as flakes are falling off. Thanks for the hide.
Nice little afternoon adventure for me! Thank you for a clear hint here! I did not like my chances otherwise between the people milling around the entrance and the complexity of the implement! TFTC!!
TFTC. Tin was filled with water and has rusted but the log book was still intact in bag. Tin might need to be replaced at some stage. First find for the day
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.
Enjoyed the trip around and the challenge of the finds.

OK so I drive into the carpark here. But not much going on so all OK. Got this one tagged after a short search. Cheers.
Monday 2 November. Headed out to Otautau today. Another cool overcast day this morning at 8deg. Toby lets get exploring!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Cache 144 quick dash after work to secure today’s cache, nice quick easy find. Sadly cache was on the ground. Magnet doesn’t seem to be gripping well anymore (think it’s the rust) got it to stick to where it should be but was flapping a bit in the wind itty bitty rock bug added to cache T4TC
I had a late start to caching today as it was household duty day today.
This is where I had parked my snail shell so it would be rude not to do this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Great wee find, MR7 loved investigating the stuff older even than his mum (me!!) to find this one.
In Invercargill for the weekend and this was close to where I was staying so a slight detour back again before heading home. Nice quick find TFTC
There was 3 cars parked near by so I hope they were not looking out the windows of the building. TFTC
#4835. I have been in Southland for a week on a work trip but all that time was spent in Fiordland. I now have two days off and time to grab as many caches as I can find. Hired a rental car and set off on the adventure in glorious warm, sunny, dry, summer-like weather. Pulled into the carpark and saw the plough so parked the car to obscure my activities. Interesting piece of old hardware. Nice quick find. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache southlandicebergs.
Day three of my long, long weekend in Otago and Southland and I’m loving every moment of it. Woke this morning in my Airbnb in Winton to the sound of rain so I was a little downcast thinking I was back to wet shoes and socks for the day. However, my fears were misjudged as the day was crisp and clear. Left Winton with a good impression and more than I arrived (pre-arrival all I knew that the only woman hanged in New Zealand, Minnie Dean, came from here) and can recommend the Jumbo Takeaways for great value Chinese meals.
Quick detour off the highway and thanks to small hands the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC

On my way further up this road to deliver some girl guide biscuits. Says a little early so stopped to see if I could find this one. After a quick search I used the hint and soon spotted it tucked away in the dark. I had to be at just the right angle to see it.
Good to see things like this being used as display rather than just rusting in a paddock.
Thanks for the smilie.
