Continued on our walk round Orotu Park this morning. Had a good look and widened the area a little, but we didn't find the cache.
Having first attempted this from above (that was never going to work) I eventually worked our a better access point. Once I sorted that out the find was quick and in an obvious spot. The CO had dropped me in the area for a spot of caching and it was at this point that I got a text go sort the pickup. Once he had me heading in the right direction we soon met up for the last two attempts.

Thanks for your hides today not so windy on this side of hill but the rain is starting still a lot of muggles walking around and I've just had a visit of a passing laboudor.
Awesome name for this cache, nice and easy, a few muggles around with their dogs. Nice quiet area of park island.
On approach, Mum thought she spotted a likely location; but Dad didn't think it met the description.
The team moved towards something that may meet the description. Once again 11YO charged ahead to find it - unfortunately in doing so, stepped in doggie doo - and we had managed to avoid in all previous caches thus far!
Mum checked co-ords... unfortunately 11YO stepping in the poop was in vain... the team was still 20m off target... Dad and 4YO went the wrong way, and Mum and 7YO went the right way (to the place Mum had identified earlier)... and 11YO tried to wipe his shoes!

Found with the help of a fellow cacher, they picked it up as we were walking up the hillside!
Not familiar with the area so I ended up descending from 'above' but possibly quicker than taking the logical route along the walkway.

Another nice find while in the area with Just-Lookin.
Soon had the container found
Very cold and wet day, with snow on the hills!

Came across a friendly distraction at this one so clicked onto the clue after a bit of a search. Cool spot.
Yes, now we get it, 5 way split . Tftc, took a while, went up, down and around before the light bulb moment !! Have had fun doing the park island caches with the boys today
Gps out alittle ,took about 15 mins to find .was higher than i thought but the hint was correct .tftc
Great find to finish off the park island series. Loads of little cockroaches hiding in this one, beware if you don't like them! (Managed to squash 3) TFTC
found with a home of 8 cockroaches dropped cache got kiwiowl to open it and sign log quick and easy find today out on a caching mission with kiwiowl happy caching and thanks for the find
This was the biggest laugh of the day caching. The little camo cover was full of roaches. Gave MorganEd a great fright as they scurred all over he place upon retrieval. incidentally, it's a 5 way split, one for each of the roaches at least. Still laughing.
Took the uphill and downhill route to this one instead of taking the flat circular route. Quick find of cache. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache.
out exploring some of the tracks and parks plus a few geocaches before art Deco gets up and running nice little parks to check out
Kind of wonder why it's not called 5 way split? Daughter let out a little yelp as a beetle crawled out haha TFTC
I found this cache with my Mum (sunnybunny64) earlier in the year but have only just got my own geocaching account. I’m hoping you won’t mind me back dating this find so that I can log all the ones I have actually found in my own account. Jordis – 7yrs
Nice quick find on our lovely evening walk. Disturbed a cockroach, black beetle and spider much to my daughters disgust. TFTC
Nice hide - the cockroach who was hanging out in the camo pouch has been evicted.
My lovely wife suggested we grab this series of caches as she had never been to Park Island before. Great series of caches and a great cover for the container. Thanks Nickhbnz for setting up this series. This was the first of the afternoon finds in between rain showers.
Found it ! And the cockroaches ! Lol mrs blurphy got a huge fright after she picked up the cache and a roach was crawling on it
Thanks for this new cache. I scored FTF! A very good name for this cache! thank you.
