Too tricky for me if it is supposed to be on the "Tui Box". If it's attached to the seat or the brown storage box behind the BB then I could have had a more thorough look.
The EtherClan are invading @Twig 's castle for the weekend with the aim of heading south to chase a World Turtle.
The first priority was pure numbers to count towards the souvenirs of the current promotion, and the second was a lonely (puzzle) cache that hadn't been found in 1000+ days.
With the puzzle solved, we set off on Saturday morning with Priority 2 set as the start of Priority 1.
We're caching our way back north now, but we had an offshoot for some caches near the beach at Pukerua Bay which caused the wheels fell off our P1 mission when EtherMaster6 asked if he could play for a bit.
It turned into a lot longer than a bit and it looks like the World Turtle souvenir is swimming out to sea without us, but the memories that the boys made skimming stones into the waves and searching for Mermaid's Purses are more important
We must be out-running the weather as it has started to dry up a bit (I'm pleased that we've left the driving wind behind!), which made this next batch of caches a lot more enjoyable.
As we pulled up, TwigNZ and ThatWeirdGuy04 both remarked that the cache was missing/not where they had found it previous. I took a chance anyway and jumped out to make a quick find on the otherside of the host.
Thanks

In the area with some time to spare, so of course will spend it finding some of the local caches. A fast find, all safe and dry here. TFTC
We stopped to do this cache on the way to the Kohekohe walk but there were 2 groups of muggles walking nearby so we decided to come back afterwards. It was almost dark when we did and there was no one around so perfect timing and a nice quick park and grab! TFTC.
Staying nearby for work so time for a little night caching to stretch the legs after being stuck inside all day. A quick grab and sign then off for a bit more of a walk. Thanks for the cache.
Today I had arranged to meet up with some fellow Cachers to try to do the Mt Climie trail in Upper Hutt. Having had a brilliant time on that walk, I thought I'd see if I could pick up a few last caches on the way home. I've never been a huge fan of using the Akatarawa Road to travel between Waikanae and the Upper Hutt, but thought that at least this time it would be different if I was stopping to search for Caches. As it turned out, I was right! It broke up the journey nicely, and made me stop along the route to appreciate points of interest I hadn't considered before.
So this was one of my last Cache stops of the day. Spotted what looked like a potential Cache as I pulled up next to GZ. Being a Sunday evening, there was little vehicular traffic or pedestrians around making the retrieval a doddle. So it was a quick sign of the log, re-hide as found, and then back to the car to carry on to the next one.
Having just placed my first Cache this week, I have an even greater appreciation of what is required to put caches out in the field for all of us to find, and once placed to maintain them. So a huge thanks from me for your efforts in placing this one.

We headed down to Kapiti today on a family visit. Although we didn't have much time for geocaching we were pleased to manage to fit in six caches.
We have a few of the BB series so it was good to visit another attractive (no pun intended!) piece of artwork here today. The cache was a very quick find, which is a good thing as GZ is very open and anyone searching about would be noticed. It is a nice little piece of camo too. Thanks for bringing us to see the tui and TFTC.

I am heading home after three weeks with the relatives, a pretty awesome christmas break. I have a whole day to get to the ferry from Palmerston North, so thought I would stop off and grab a Waikanae letterbox cache, and ended up walking the Hemi Matenga.
So I found this on the way there, the most un-hidden urban geocache ever, I saw the container from my park on the other side of the road. malkes for an easy grab!
Love the artwork on these boxes, so I'll give a favourite for this one, representative of the series. Just the one, as I am not generally keen on microcaches.

Another find for the day! Super easy to find, not really hidden but it’s always great to tick another one off. Thanks
And a really nice tui it is too. I think it's great that these boxes are being decorated - - - they look good and they provide somewhere for people to share their art. TFTH .
I am from Norway. This is close to where my daugther has been for a schoolyear with really nice people me and my son found it, but we didnt bring a pencil - we'll try log it later today
After a forced change of plans owing to a public transport issue this worked out as a convenient cache to do.
Knew what to expect as I have done most of the series. One more to go!
All quiet at GZ.
I didn't notice at that time a real tui just over the road, but heard it when passing on the way back from another cache. I wonder if the presence of them over there was the inspiration for this artwork?
TFTC.

A few years back I cleared out all the caches along Akatarawa Rd, about 4 IIRC. Now they seem to have multiplied, so it was time to come back for another cleanout. I think it must be 5 years since I cached along here!

Been a while since I last found a cache by the CO. This cache is in great condition - all dry etc.
Thanks for another cache CaligulaNZ.

Very easy drive by cache. Had to wait for a few muggles to disappear before retrieving cache
A quick find this morning. A nicely placed seat provided to sign the log on. All in order. TFTC
I could see the cache as I arrived at GZ. Retrieving it was a different matter. I think I was here about twenty minutes waiting for muggles to move out of sight while I grabbed the cache and replaced it.
All secure, I think. TFTC

Managed a couple of quick finds in Waikanae as we headed home. This was one. And a previous DNF.
Straightforward; all in order, log signed, then safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

#12 on the spring road trip with hifiveitslivtime who spotted this one in no time. TFTH. So pleased we stopped off, the art work is beautiful.
#8386. A quick park and grab on Winara Avenue in Waikanae on a rainy day. GZ was pretty quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

#108. Nice little arty detour off the main road to see this Tui. Easy park'n'grab. Tftc
We are visiting Wellington and went on a train trip today after we could not go on a ferry trip due to the weather.
We did not spend much time here but it seems like a lovely place.
Loved the cache and the art work.
This will be our most northerly cache to date.

Was concerned about a nearby car who was pulled over just past the cache. However they drove off enabling Selesi & I to retreive the cache. TFTC
Even by torch light we managed to find this fairly quickly on our way from Palmerston North to Lower Hutt to get Kevin Anderson's oldest cache in New Zealand! Nice spot for a cache. Thanks for hiding!
Little blue hen had to drop off something in Waikanae so a small detour was in order. Nice artwork. TFTCSL
Oh dear - looks like this one is missing then. Will disable until I can get over to the coast. Unfortunately the next couple of weekends are up the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay side of the Island
Me thinks the Chorus man might have paid a visit here recently. There was evidence to that effect. But no evidence of a cache. Given the previous logs of 'easy find' and 'could spot from the car as we parked', I would have expected a quick and straightforward find. No so.

#1684. Heading north today to Rotorua and stopping en route to pick up a few caches. I am working on a challenge series where I need to amass quite a lot of distance between caches. So today was a good opportunity to pick up some kilometres for the challenge. The cache find here was nice and easy. Have done a few in the series now so knew what to expect. The logbook was dry. Returned cache as found and headed off on the road. Thanks for the cache.
Find # 2540. Very quick find on a 60km cycling trip from Paekakariki to Waikanae return. Beautiful painting - Emily Roberts is one clever lady. SL TFTC
Nice quick find, and a well maintained cache. The only problem is that it looks a bit too obvious and so it might be muggled. TFTC.
Nice quick find with no passers-by. Love the artwork - good to see this is done more and more.
