Had a good think and visiting the area today with what was going to be a temporary replacement decided that with the GZ area showing more signs of regular unsavoury use and the unique nature of the last container, and also the upcoming freeway widening its time for this one to go. Thanks to all the finders!
After the recent logs dropped in with the boy geodog and the cache has been totally trashed. I need to think about what to do with this one.....
06/04/2019 19:15 Cache container is now missing. Not much left apart from the attachment. The logbook was found merely stuck in the remnants of the cache. I also found a water pipe (bong) nearby so assume this location maybe visited by unsavoury types. TFTC littlemerpip TNLN SL
Nothing is better that finding a few geocaches on my way to work on a Monday afternoon. It will leave me in a good mood for the rest of the week.
With the 'Cache Carnival' starting today I travelled along these secret paths for some high favourite point caches.
As I approached this area the rain became heavier so I was glad that there was a little cover here. I found the cache after a short search but I think that it was not placed correctly by the previous finders so I replaced it to fit the hint.
Thank you littlemerpip for this cache and series.

Found it but didn’t have a pen!! It had actually fallen onto the ground so not that hard to spot once we were in the right spot!
I found this one just lying out in the open. I signed the log and replaced it where I believe it should reside. Great camo.
Was in the area hunting out the handbag series of caches when we took a diversion and walk in the park to find others. This was one of them. Great spot, quick find and cache in good order. TFTC
Little harder than the other 2 around but nicely hidden my friend... nicely hidden
Out today to try and finish the handbag series and couldn't pass up a walk around this lovely park.
This cache certainly tested LeeLee's snake radar thankfully none spotted but it made for a very quick find!
A nice crafty hide.

Out searching for more handbags and took a detour here. This was a clever construction and hide.

Initially I was distracted by other possibilities but it was spotted by Lyn quite quickly after I had moved my search away from GZ. Muggles in the area so a little care was required. TFTC
Today we found The Tree: Secret Paths of Koonung Park #1 on our travels.
Very cautious going in today’s heat! Took a bit but found it.
Thanks littlemerpip for being part of our geocaching fun.

I didn’t spot this one for a good while. It was only reading the logs that sent me to a spot where, sure enough, it was. Great camo littlemerpip and a fave from me.
A great find in a great spot the Geodog had a blast exploring and meeting new friends.
Just landed in from Istanbul and Thought I’d get a few enroute to my dear mum. Like it!. TFTC
The final day of the Melbourne Parkville Mega event with the Godfather Freddo and gridge98, and it was a day of high terrain adventure caches, driving around collecting the Handbag series, and then riding around some more of the various river and rail bike trails collecting the Parkville caches.
This cache and contents turned out to be all good. Thanks heaps for the work and preparation towards this cache! Cheers.

Day 2 of the Parkville Mega Event. Caching again today as a group so most logs were signed DFGJK for our initials.
Another creative hide. I love finding these!

Apologies for the generic log below:
Away for the weekend with Freddo and Davidwazza to the Parkville Mega.
My first mega that I had attended and I had a really enjoyable time.
Some of the log books were signed with my name others were signed with just a G part of the group name, a combination of KBJGD.
We were happily joined by KB who was a machine finding a lot of the caches.
Thanks to the CO for all the placement of caches, the earyh caches answers will be sent in the coming days also.
We were very successful in finding majority of caches but some we DNF.

Thought KR would have looked there, so delighted to find a very pleasing cache when I suggested it might be there. Tftc
A quick and easy find. Sneaky though. FP from me Thanks
Woohoo we are in Melbourne for a short break, catching up with friends and doing some caching. Log Signed Ms+Mr KR
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Like all good camos, I walked past this one a couple of times before seeing it, but once seen it looked so obvious. Thanks
Thank you for bringing me here, beautiful strolling along various paths, nice park. Had a bit of gym work TFTC.
I was hoping to cache rhis weekend but rain is due so thought I would grab a couple under lights tonight. I avoided the temptation to check the bra hanging in the tree nearby and followed the GPS to an easier find. Suggest the cache lid was easier to take off than the afore mentioned item. Thanks to littlemerpip for placing this cache.
After heavy rain this morning I didn't think I would get a cache today but it cleared up so out we went for this one. Nice hide. TFTC
#2047 Fourth find for us this morning. Due to the orientation of the cache in it's hiding spot it was clearly visible from some distance. After signing log and returning it with a slight adjustment to it's original orientation it's now very well camo'd - well done again littlemerpip.
Found it with sezmos. Almost lost a geokid in the in the scrub around this one.
I showed off by finding this one pretty quick. I've had fun here today, thanks for the Koonung Park caches!
#1068 - 4.50pm
I was here nearly 6 months ago grabbing a different cache by the same CO. As I explored this great park, I wandered past a few other caches but saved signing them for another day. I was preparing some Plan B's for my successive days caching streak.
It has taken longer than I'd hoped to return. But still, it was pleasing to find my way to the cache without the aid of a screen.
I admit to having a short struggle on my first visit. But today it was, as they say in the classics, "in the first place I looked", lol. I was able to simply admire the craftsmanship and sign in. Despite the noise from the freeway, GZ was looking fabulous with sunlit golden wattle adding vibrant colour to the location.
Thanks so much, littlemerpip. I enjoyed both of my visits here.

Wandering along the secret paths, we soon enough found ourselves at a likely looking spot. A closer inspection and we spotted another well hidden container. It is great to see that it will remain nice and dry! Another favourite for this one too.

TFTC. Great cache, lovely park, excellent spot for Hiding and searching except for the noise of the freeway just at that point. The rest of the park is good though.
This certainly is off the beaten path. As I got to GZ I checked all the hiding places that matched the hint, but nothing. Then I took a closer look at something I spotted earlier - yes that was the cache! Love your work, thanks

Perfect Melbourne weather today for the Victorian Caching Awards. We met up with Suscoe & Bushfire to squeeze in a few urban caches before the Event. This one, our last in Koonung Park was more tricky to access, but we were certainly rewarded with another very clever hide, a FP for ingenuity here.
Our thanks to littlemerpip for placing this cache.

Suscoe headed to Melbourne today for the Victorian Caching Awards event in the very good company of Bushfire.
We met up with Phetlern plus 1 as well and so our band of 6 wandered the streets and parklands of the inner east on a beautiful day.
Sunshine, clouds, some light drizzle for a moment or two, a cool breeze, more sunshine, great locations and lots of fun with our friends, what more could a caching team ask for.
Our discussion of sedges, reeds and something else continued along the way.
A rhyme emerged too, that made sense of it all.
A quick find in a noise filled space.
Thanks to littlemerpip for this and the other two.
Will return to find the other nearby caches one day soon.
Time to head to an event now.

When you go caching with the suscoe cachers you have to be up early and organised because they are always early. Ross is the master of planning and not only has the order of cachers but a map of where we are going and has remembered how to get there as well.
The day dawned, quick breakfast, read the headlines over a quick coffee, pack lunch and of course the Thermos and another small one for the milk. Got to have the milk.
As the day wore on it got quiet warm in the sunshine but we had to attend 2016 Victorian Cache of the Years awards later but a few caches first that were on our must do list.
Continuing on our walk through the parkland and this guy was soon spotted by the eagled eyed Peter so with log signed and returned better that we found it, time to head off to the Event.
Thanks littlemerpip for the cache.

Caching by phone today meant that when we left the previous cache my phone lost all the satellites and I was roughly where I thought we should be when I had to pause and wait for the satellites to find me. I was perusing another tree when the planets finally aligned and I discovered we were only 31 meters away.
I have to say that getting a pram in to where GZ was not without its challenges. Geobub was fending off offending branches as we entered and I was wondering if perhaps I am not the model parent I am aiming to be. Just as I found the very clever hide geobub started yelling "up up up", which means "get me out of the pram and stop this caching nonsense", which put a stop to today's festivities. We went to the local playground (which is excellent by the way).
The cache itself? Brilliant! Everything that a geocache should be. Thank you so much!

With the other two in the series completed we couldn't leave this one out. The area was a looking a little trashy today, but we quickly spotted the quality camo job. TFTC littlemerpip!
Out for a day of geocaching with a geofriend on this lovely sunny Melbourne Day. This was our fifth cache for the day. We gave Geofriend the GPS and he made a surprisingly quick find, although he was the right height. A very well camouflaged cache. TFTC.
I enjoyed this cache. Clearly our tribe have had an effect on the surrounding bush because once you enter either side of GZ you can clearly see the geo-trail leading to this magnificent specimen.
The camo was masterful and the cache container a decent size. I'd award this a favourite point but I'd rather give it to the next cache along the path to represent all the fun I had finding your hides today, littlemerpip.
Thanks for the effort put into creating this one. It was appreciated by this cacher even as my energy levels were dropping reasonably quickly by this point.
2nd time lucky. So well camouflaged. No pen so not signed nothing left or taken.

Must be crazy to be out Caching today in this 100+km wind.
Very cool container but a little nervous about surrounding trees in this wind.
Cheers for the cache

This was cache #6 of 8 found whilst biking along Koonung Creek on a Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed riding along the "secret paths" from the Fence cache to get to this one, even having to stop for a bit as I was approaching the GZ to let 2 muggles and their dog toddle off. I had what I thought was a reasonable look in the obvious locations but then had to undertake a wider circle and approach from another direction before I saw a possible hiding spot. Yes, that's it - another quite impressive piece of camo. A favourite from me - thanks littlemerpip.
We revisited this one as we could not find it the first time. This was the first cache I ever looked for so I didn't know what to look for. It was easy and quick this time. We had to play a bit of a ninja game to not walk into the spider webs. Other than that, it is all fine. One of the few around here that aren't wet. TFTC

Found with Winniethebear. I can't remember the details of this find. sorry. TFTC.
I really enjoyed cycling along the secret path along this trail. Nice to be away from what felt like a higway on the actual trail. I didn't see a soul on my way through, which was probably a good thing given I had to stash my bike ane wander to look for this. I checked a few spaces to see if I could find the cache, but the penny soon dropped about where I should search and I soon had the beautifully camouflaged cache in hand. Loved this one. TFTC!
