Belated 5000+ Finds Congratulations, just finished our own mini-event with the EP Cub Scouts tonight and realised we'd forgot to log your Event Surprised. Good fun had at yours with bonus fairy bread. Big Grin
(and then we forgot we brought our event TB Illuminer along Surprised, so updated this log too!)

was a great day with fairy bread and a playground. tfte

We had a great time chatting with other cachers today. Apart from the resellers, who else could talk about Tupperware for hours! McKees, we have always admired your approach to geocaching. You make it a truly family event, which you all seem to enjoy. Congratulations on having so many logs on your caches!

Thanks McKee Clan for the event and the fairy bread, which we ate too much of.

What a day! Between muggle partner fixing Mr Team Scoobster's motorbike and my having a fellow geocacher's 3rd 21st birthday party to go to later in the day, this event was a welcome break of sanity in the middle of a busy day [|)]
By day's end I'd attended this great event and found 5 caches too Cool
I found a cache Smile while at the event and thankfully I'd also previously found the other two caches in this park that the other attendees couldn't find. Surprised

We ate lovely fairy bread complete with a variety of fairy drop...ummmm....Toppings Wink
We laughed, we chatted. we dodged rain showers which appeared just as Brodie and I arrived and we generally just had FUN!

McKee Clan, your caches are fun, too, and they have taken many geocachers to great locations that I know I'd never had been to if not for geocaching!
Standing under a train track while the train passes, very slightly, overhead. Fence rails on YP. Into mozzie infested areas that I thought only horses lived in while seeking that elusive LPT cache hide. Dead end streets where no TomTom should take us. [^]
5,000 or 8,000 finds, it doesn't really matter...what matters is that we thank you for all of your efforts in placing your caches so that we can enjoy the journey to find them! [^]

Awesome turnout and awesome fairy bread. Chocolate sprinkles were a hit. The kids played and the adults mingled. Off now for cache maintenance in the lpt trail. Thankyou to everyone for coming between showers

A great park for an event celebration.
Fairy bread, a cache or two and some rain just enough to get us wet and cool, what more could you ask for.

28-Feb-15
Ate fairy cake, dodged showers, laughed at Kaye's straw in the chocolate milk bottle, cached and chatted. A busy 2 hours in a very nice park. Congratulations McKee Clan on so many finds of your hides.

Owl (aka Hoya Quicksilver) will be spending the afternoon averting a Drow invasion of her temporary home of Alfheim and persuading intelligent trees to decamp to their home plane. She is unfortunately unable to break off hostilities to attend the event, but will request that the elven gods bless you with continued good fortune, easy finds and superb cache locations. Congratulations on an excellent and generous milestone!

Thanks for the fairy Bread, Well done on 5000+

That be right I missed it.

Again it was great to catch up with fellow cacheaholics and put faces to names. Pity we had no luck with finding the nearby hides, they must have been muggled Sad

Rocked up just as the party seemed to be getting started, and then made a dash for the relocation point. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing many familiar faces and then found myself in a group making a detour for a few caches. Our strike rate wasn't fantastic, but then that wasn't really the point.

I resisted the fairy bread for a good few hours but eventually my sweet tooth succumbed and I savoured the delicious sugary treat just before departing. TFTE McKee Clan

Mr Tardis made it and had a great time. It was good to discuss all things caching and woof down fairy bread in between sentences.

Congratulations on your milestone McKees, may you have many more finds and hides and adventures, and may your vehicle survive a lengthy period of time.

Signed the event log. Thanks for the cache McKee Clan.

5000 or 8000? Who cares - let's have an event! Not only to celebrate your hide finds but on the eve of Mad March to ponder over the 8 events in the next 3 weeks and how to possibly attend them all...
And I hope that rain signalled the end of the horrible hot weather!
Found 1 cache, DNFed another and got attacked by the mini Mckees...
Thanks for the event - bring on the next!

28-Feb-15
A wonderful event, a slice or two of fairy bread, a mad dash for the shelter when the heavens opened up and time for a cache or two, as always great to catch up and discuss all things cachy TFTC McKee Clan Wink

So here are a few more finds on your caches after today's effort. It was a bit of a rush to get here for this one after just returning from placing a new cache out in the East and submitting it to be published Wink, then making our way up to the park.
Great as always to catch up to a great group of people.

Wow! This will be a big afternoon / evening.

I've got a 63rd birthday to attend straight after this event, however I still don't think the birthday boy is quite that old! Wink

Tardis, I suggest that if you are partial to a morsel of fairy bread...then bring your own and lots of it because you'll have a fight for the last piece with Mr McKee! Wink
