No luck here today. The area is still fenced off, and as an earlier log on October says there is no seat in sight.
The area had been fenced off for at least 4 months. Time for the CO take some action.
Area fenced off and workmen busy upgrading the children's playground. No seat in sight. Suspect this cache is no longer here.
We are slowly filling all of our dot days, we have about 20 to go, and we have run out of close to home caches. We were in the general area today picking up someone from the hospital across the tracks so stopped in here for a nice quick find. Cache in good condition. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.
I felt like doing some caching after work while I happened to be working in Papatoetoe. The sun was warm, and I was feeling good! I picked out this cache as it was in my general direction of heading home - sort of. There were some kids playing about on the rides, but I ignored them, they didn't seem to notice me. Co-ords seemed to take me to one seat, cache not there and then I was pointed in another direction and the cache happened to be there! The kids had wandered by now, so I was able to sit in peace and sign in. Cheers Jada for the cache.
Found it together with my Au Pair Janno216.
I could spot it, but there were some bugs on it. [xx(]

After playing minigolf in Silvia Park my host kid and I went out for two Geocaches. The weather was nice and we enjoyed finding them.
My host kid found it quick, after logging we were playing on the playground for some minutes. Perfect camo to do this Geocache with a child.
Thanks for hiding!

Didn’t find near coordinates
Didn’t try closer to hall, as children had their coats and bags there

I had a soccer match today at a nearby park... and as I had arrived quite early I thought that I would try to find a cache while I was waiting. That is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. So after pulling up and parking as close as I could, even though it was raining I still had to wait for a muggle to exit the area. So once the coast was clear, I made my way to GZ on foot. I made this find a lot harder on myself than I should have but eventually found the cache. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next finder. So thank you SethRaven (and Jada) for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
In the area to drop our cats off at the Cattery so quickly took a side trip here. Cache quickly found and a dry log signed. No-one around today. TFTC.
In the area this morning to make a pickup so called in to grab this one. Nice and quiet here and cache found in good condition. TFTC.
Even from the car, the GPS on the phone was pointing me right to where I thought the cache would be. Downside was there was a muggle sitting there having a conversation. More concerning was there noone else there, ah well perhaps his phone is on speaker. Got out and had a wander over...nope no phone...the conversation was "there all wrong, they'll pay" over and over again. Beat a retreat to a nearby park bench and played plants vs zombies until the muggle moved on. Then it was a quick find. Thanks for the cache, all good here. I hope the muggle is OK too.
In the area today and had seen it had been replaced, GPS kept point me elsewhere, but common sense pointed me in the right direction.
After dropping off travel bugs at the Departure Lounge and then spending an hour or so caching around and about by myself . . . . . I replaced this one today . . . . . . not sure how long this will last here again. Happy caching to you all . . . . .
Out for finding a cache for daily streak. As I had some time to spare, expanded the area and reached here. Some muggle kids were playing here, but had no issues in finding this one. tftc.
Nice quick find for me today thanks SethRaven !
My first time caching in Papatoetoe too !

Quick find dodging the rain. Day three of our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back to collect as many caches as we can. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
I have never been fortunate enough to have an FTF.
But this is the next best thing, a brand new cache, with pristine clean log. It is a pleasure to sign. Another of Auckland little parks that I never would've stopped at BG.
Birdies are having a great time.

Ths 1 far gone I think we checked all seats n table seats no mag, looks to be a very busy area.
Wasn't able to find anything and I checked under every table and chair. Don't know if I'm missing it or what haha. Good luck to the next person hopefully no one took it.
#464 - Staying with a friend round the corner, thought i would find this while i had the opportunity. was pouring with rain so i made a mad dash quickly retrieved signed in the car and then returned again.
Our first cache in Papatoetoe We are helpXing here for a week, so we hope to find more of them around TFTC
Just a quick drive after work to grab this one since it wasn't raining for a change. Found the cache quickly and signed. The CO may want to glue the magnets on for this one so it is a little more secure. TFTC

There were several people sitting at a table in the park when we arrived. Luckily they were not at the one we needed. Wandered over, sat down, and casually felt underneath to locate the cache. Signed the log, retuned the cache and wandered back to the van. Thanks.
In the area this afternoon cleaning up some unfound caches. Parked up and with no one in the playground headed over and made a quick find. Nicely done Jada, TFTC!
Another great find on a geocaching holiday in the area.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Nice to get this one found quickly at site.

Today it was my first chance to grab a cache between meetings in the attempt to complete the Months spelling challenge down christchurch way.
Managed to make a quick grab between rain showers and still make it across to East Tamaki for my next meeting.
Thanks for the placement with such a convenient first letter

Mum was in Auckland for work; and her last meeting finished early - so of course she though she would grab a cache or two on her way back to the airport. She was actually aiming for another cache, but took a few wrong turns and ended up at this cache!
On pulling up, she had a pretty good idea of where it may be - and wasn't disappointed! Nicely cammo-ed - and given its location - very necessary!
Great hide Jada!

No-one around and a quick easy find. TFTC

Great to find a cache in my old home area. Had to come early in the morning as this is such a popular park.
After I finished some work meetings not too far from here, I had time to go and find a few caches before heading to the airport and home. This was the first one I came to. No problems here. Cache was in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Was in the area for work. So decided to take a "break" and stopped off here.
Nice quick find. Now back to work I go

On my way south to Manakau for work today so determined to collect a few caches before hand. Parked up nearby and made the short walk to GZ. Spotted in the third place I checked. All good here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Gps took me all over the place. Great little hide in such a busy place watching all the locals enjoying the afternoon we blended right in. Thank u for bringing me back here. Found with Geodaughter Chanellewaru. Fav point for Jada
I'm amazed that I got a 2TF considering that there are nine 'Write note' logs. More caching, less jibber-jabber. TFTC.
Papatoetoe alone at night with a torch? Asking for trouble with the neighbours and/or constabulary. I'm happy here on the sofa with my zombies! NZT or Stik-a-crane might be mad enough though...
Keylev didn't even get a mention?? I'm disappointed in you but not the cache
Ftf...ftf...ftf thanks for the cache!!
Ftf...ftf...ftf thanks for the cache!!
Keylev put us all to shame. I'm to far away. Very frustrating getting all the notifications up here.
Thought this might be out of your area keylev. But very quickly done all the same!!!
Yes well done keylev...sometimes randomly driving around hoping caches get published puts you near by...hahaha
You snooze, you lose what can I say...absolutely back in the game - truth be told never really left but publications were a little tricky time wise...tonight my phone pinged as I walked in the door so I headed straight back out
No one around to notice me and hardly needed a torch for this one so the locals were hopefully none the wiser that I had visited!
