Found it laying on the ground in the open about 10m from my GPS’s GZ. All intact. Log signed and hidden away in the obvious hiding spot back at GZ. TFTC
Found it. TFTC gabs1963. Took a bit longer that I wanted here. but finally got it. I could hear voices. wow that was close.
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Almost stepped on a fresh pile of dog poo. A very awkward spot for a cache, right outside someone’s house. Cheers gabs1963!

Day 2 Arrived in Gero last night. The plan today is to hit the series and caches around Gero. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches - sorry for the genetic log.
##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

Had a another search of this but this time in the dark and with a fresh set of eyes to help me. Either gabs1963 is just too good with her hides or this one is gone also
We awoke to another beautiful day in Geraldton, fantastic after the two windy, wet days when we first arrived. so what better thing to do than to head out geocaching again.
Yesterday we worked in the central art of town and down round the port so today we decided to head out a bit to the south, along the top of the rise first then returning along the coast.
It was a mixed day with a number of well crafted caches, a number in need of maintenance and some great hides. With the outstanding views it was a great day.
This was a nice quick find with all being in good condition.

With no success at the nearby puzzle, we came here to log a find while we were in the area. Thanks.
Apologies for the late log. Did a road trip around WA and only just catching up on logs now. We stayed the night in a great airbnb just around the corner giving us a magnificent view of sunset over the ocean from this hill. Wandered out in the morning to take a look for this one. Wasn't convinced in the residential cul de sac that I was heading the right way but I found the gate and the deserted road and soon after the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache gabs1963.
Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

Found quickly which was good because I had to put up with a barking dog in the adjacent yard while signing the log. TFTC.
After spending the morning caching on Cape Burney with iluvtrekking, we grabbed a few caches while heading back to our accommodation. Thanks gabs1963
We spent the day around Cape Burney today, while the boys were riding the Greenough River Trail on their bikes, Mrs richlink and I set out on our own adventure.
Thanks for the cache gabs1963.

Hi there gabs1963.
We found your cache **"3rd on Verita"** at 9:16:00 AM today, so this makes our find count 14452.
Today we met up with Everlasting and dezzabills to do a spot of "Post Event" geocaching before we all headed off in our separate directions. The first cache of the day was "Flying Geocachers" and from then on it was along a route determined by the next closest one on our GPS.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

tftc gabs1963 a quick easy find with Everlasting and Ian & Penny while doing some post event caching
Out and about,
on the worn out pushbike,
today
I headed up the hill from the 'South Gates' cache.
Just what I needed,
a bit of exercise
Yet I arrived at the top of the hill with energy to burn ??
The ride up McDermott and Eakins isn't half as bad as it looks from the bottom
More of an incline than a hill
And up the top,
I headed to the end of the 'cul-de-sac' to find a gate.
A gate that opened up onto a rather nice looking road with no traffic [:o]
Huh !!??
I wandered through the portal to the other side.
Oh !! I see why there is no traffic now
And after a short stroll, I found me a cache [^]
So why isn't this road finished ??
I suspect bumbling bureaucracy
Or a lack of cooperation from surrounding land owners.

Our final find for the day, we decided to end on a find as so many others have been DNF's today.
Thanks
Thanks
We arrived in Geraldton yesterday and after having breakfast this morning we headed out to find some local caches. We started off ok and then things went downhill with lots of DNFS. We only managed 23 finds today with 11 DNFS and I'm sure most of them were missing with a few tricky ones that we just couldn't find after searching for ages. Hopefully we have more luck tomorrow finding caches. TFTC
Wow. Where did that road come from. Nice easy walk up find thanks to the iPhone app.
GeoJ spotted this one first! Well hidden and while Verita remains unopened to traffic it is muggle free too! TFTC gabs1963.
Found this one quite easily. Pity this road doesn't connect to the main road just through the fence. TFTC. SL.
A quick find on a nice day. Thanks for the drive gabs1963, even the TB's enjoyed the outing. SL TNLN
