Logs
Found cache around 30m from GZ after scrambling through the undergrowth. Enjoyed a walk through the cemetery. TFTC
Been up here a few times, found a cache by the tree but looking back, perhaps this si the old one. Cheers
Couldn't find anything near the bridge, so per previous logs headed over to the tree and quickly found a cache there, per the earlier photo, TFTC
Travelled from Hampden to Oamaru today, then back to Kakanui. Picked up about a dozen caches along the way, plus an Ad Lab. This one was quite close to my overnight spot at the NZMCA Park. Took a moment or two to find this one. If theres another cache at much the same spot, as some are saying, thats all well and good! One signature was adequate as far as Im concerned! #7400. TFTC.
Staying in our motorhome at the new NZMCA Park nearby. Took geopup Finn for a walk to look for this and one down near the beach.Found the cache in tree roots as in photo and signed it. There is also one nearer ti the bridge at the base of a post so signed that too. One of them is correct.A bit confused about why there are 2 so close together. TFTC.
Revisited this geo as I found it a couple of years ago down the river bank log only and left it in a flower pot!Saw that erninz has replaced it by the bridge as per Waypoints so thought I would resign the log. Also interested to see if the other geo was still there and it is, so make sure you sign the right one! One thought on this one is maybe its a bonus cache for the oak series for lost soldiers? Or it was the lost geo from the cemetery. As the container is old and looks like an original rather than a replacement. Caches are amazing they disappear and appear and we all enjoy finding them !! Thanks
After parking the caravan in the new NZMCA Park I went for a little walk and quickly found this cache. Thanks for the cache erninz.
Afternoon tea stop at a place we've been before. The sign is new (rather awkwardly worded but we know what they meant to say).
Found after a short search with campmotherandken today - getting near the end of our caching! TFTC
Definitely saved from a futile search by reading the previous logs - despite a very tempting looking tree, we ended up 35m metres away

Found after looking in the wrong place. Sat and thought and made an educated guess for an easy find. TFTC
That took a while to find as my phone had me a good 35 metres away. Spotted by chance walking back to my car. Added a new logbook as other one is full
The takeaway fish and chips were being prepared at the pub, so I thought I could pop down and grab this one before they were ready. Well… firstly the grade down and back up the hill was steeper than I planned, and secondly, the cache wasn’t there when I arrived. Thankfully I had enough reception to check previous logs and I discovered it was not where it said it was. A bit of reading between the lines and some checking of obvious locations soon turned it up. TFTC
About 30 meters off. Reading hints and seeing photo helped. Lovely place, thanks for bringing us here
Definitely not at GPS coordinates. Reading hints from others helped.
Great historical spot. TFTC

Not where the GPS sent us, but found eventually, not signed by those who found it on the 1st January 22. Tftc
Thanks to previous comments it was found 27m from where my phone thought gz should be.
Jude_E are on another road trip. We stayed in Oamaru last night finishing up at 9pm. Now we're heading for Dunedin. Thanks for hiding this cache erninz I appreciate it.

On a caching trip to the Dunedin area with Nosynel. Day 2, cache 2. About 30m out but by reading the comments we spotted it. A grove of trees is a great way to remember those who passed, serving our country. Thanks.

Tricky, I suspect someone had moved way closer to the gate at some poiint. Found just sitting at the base of a tree, maybe a gardener had done this. Trees are a great way to remember those who have gone after a conflict. TFTC
Finally located this one, 25m away from where GPS indicated, after rereading the description and some hints from previous logs. It isn't beside the river. Nice hide, once located. Then headed off for one of those massive icecreams from the 4Square. TFTC.
Found it 25 meters away. Read the comments previously that will put you on the right track.
Easter family adventures. Stayed in Naseby a few nights. Used to come to Ranfurly a LOT growing up with both sets of grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles living here. Time to start heading homewards...aiming for Oamaru for the night. Quick stop and find. after previously dnfing it. I signed at the bridge like plenty of others. Looks like there might be a couple cache at play given what Lyttletonwitch found??...Thanks.
I found a cache 30 metres away lying at the base of a tree and the last log it was April 2020 so not sure what cache I found
Thank you for bringing me here. As ex military myself, it is always good to remember those that gave their today for our tomorrow ️
Today StreetWalkerNZ and I head back to Christchurch so we left Moeraki at 7:30am to try to beat the predicted rain. Unfortunately that didn't work, and it started drizzling in Oamaru and soon progressed to rain. Boy it's been a wet 2021 for us so far!
This was the first stop of the day and all was quiet here. Log book quickly found - in the flower pot that the previous finders mentioned. We didn't have our caching supplies with us this trip so unable to replace the container. TFTC.

Not much luck with these two this one I found in its bag down over the bank put it in a flower pot!
Once I arrived at GZ I was able to make the quick find.
My Lottikind and I signed the log and went back to our campervan which waited for us on the nice camping ground a few meters away from here.

After a wonderful day at Otego Peninsula our next stop was in Hampden. After we checked in at the campsite I collected the two caches close to the site at historical places
Thanks for this cache and best wishes from Germany, kischte.

GeoFoxy is in NZ to do a cruise but decided to stay with me for a few days. This is day 4 of her trip and she wanted to see the Geodesic boulders so a trip south was the plan for today and of course caching. Glad to see places like this honouring our fallen heroes.
I knew a Geotour was coming out soon and glad to see we have some local ones. MinionOne and I were going to head out for a roadtrip and decided to invite Eve07 to come out for some fun. We headed out mid morning with the intent of just getting the Moeraki Geotour caches but we ended up as you do following a trail of caches to the middle of nowhere. A cold but lovely day for it.
Cache was in good condition. After finding this one left MinionOne here to enter the nearby cemetery for another cache. Very friendly muggle letting the dog take them for a walk was the only person we saw around here, very peaceful.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Three weeks of vacation in this wonderful country. Near the Car Park we find this cache memorial

The coordinates took as to a very common hiding place, which was empty. Nearby was a lidless black pill bottle which may have been the cache? We took it upon ourselves to hide a replacement cache, a Berocca tube, and log it as a find and trust the owner will be happy with this. TFTC
On a quest to complete the Hidden Creatures challenge so again off to Oamaru to find about 80 caches and this was one of them. I have driven past here a million times and today was the day to stop..TFTC
A quick and easy find. Thanks
Queens Birthday weekend. Lets celebrate with some time in Dunedin. Today we travelled south.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

We are on the road from Dunedin to Oamaru, with a stop at the boulders. After a walk on the beach we came to Hampden to hunt for some caches. This was one of our finds. TFTH erninz
On our way home from Dunedin after a few days visiting kjr pulled in here for a quick find tftc
Heading home from holiday with a few stops along the way of course! A wee detour in here to grab a couple of caches and a nice quick find for this one. TFTC
Day 3 of our 6-Day End of the Year caching trip to Dunedin. An easy find but be careful of the chicken wire protecting the cache. It drew blood on both the retrieval and the return. There was a father and son duo on a small motorbike playing at the cemetery so we couldnt get the cache there so went to get ice-creams instead. Wow! You werent joking about supersized! On our way back from Dunedin a few days later we stopped here again to try a different flavour. Definitely recommended and will never be forgotten. Thanks for the effort in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy. Happy Caching
A wee wander up behind the campground we are staying in for the next week.
