Came and looked. The only thing at the listed coordinates are a very dead, and now broken in half, tree.
Found this with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband while spending a few days in Berri. Just heading back to the Berri Hotel after a day exploring Katarapko Creek. TFTC TNLNSL. Dropped TB
This weekend, I headed to the Murray Riverland around Berri and Renmark primarily to attend the celebration event, but also to join others in some kayaking geocaching adventures. I hadn't visited this region before, and I left really enjoying the picturesque nature of the rivers, the wine-growing areas, and pretty towns. I ended up visiting Kingston on Murray, Barmera, Berri, Lyrup, Renmark, and Paringa. Three other highlights worthy of mentioning was Chambers Creek, Katarapko Island, and the historical SA-NSW surveyed border area.
Today after spending last night in Berri, I met with others to group kayak the *Chambers Creek Canoe Cache* (CCCC) series. We then had time to find a few geocaches around Lake Bonney and climb a few trees outside Berri, before attending the lunch celebration event. Afterward, we detoured via *Katarapko* oldie, before heading south, and group attacking the geocaches group on Katarapko Island. A nice day to be out on the kayak and finding some geocache favourites.
This took a few minutes in finding, and I guess in the end, it was hidden in a logical place. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was quite wet. Thanks morrikins for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This was the only cache i missed in this cluster last time I was here, stopped in here for a quick find
This weekend a group of us headed to be Riverland to find some caches mainly focused around using a kayak and collecting some oldies in the area. The celebration event dragged Freddo and myself out here and in total came away with 33 finds for the weekend.
Thanks for the cache

Pretty cool old hall. The resident feral cat spotted me as I started searching for the cache. Unfortunately it was full of water so I tipped it out but the log is still soaked. Tftc
Spent the afternoon caching around Berri and surrounding areas. TFTC

Found today on our Cooltong, Gurra and Katarapko Caching Day in company of Bazzars and Cold Freeze. I remember coming here just once about 40 years ago but I cannot remember why. Thanks from D B-A.
Camping in Berri for the Australia Day longweekend, we headed out today to Explore Lovedays 4X4 Park and do a couple of caches with Jalinrenos. Didn't even know that Winkie had a hall...there you go! TFTC
Travelling around Australia, staying in Lyrup today we popped out to find a few caches of course.

We were heading back to camp after a morning adventure and stopped in here. Disturbed a feral looking cat which dived under the hall through a broken vent. Then went looking for the cache, which was quickly found after moving away from GZ by a few metres. Added both names to the log book, covered the cache again and headed off. All was in very good condition. Thank you morrikins for placing this cache.
Took a short detour here with goingplaces2 while getting back to camp. No problem in finding the cache with its camo. Signed log, put everything back with the camo and were on our way again. TFTC.
Good cache:)
Had a really weird eerie feeling around the hall like someone was watching :/
Spirtual id say.
other then that cool as beans

What a lovely spot it was a hive of activity the first time we came but all was quiet the next unfortunately we didn't get a look at the legendary dancing floor but did find the cache thanks
Looked but not able to find. I serfdom other seekers that it is in poor condition.
Fortunate to be able to stay overnight in the Riverland after attending the event at Barmera.
This meant more caching for the journey home and 45 before the days end.
The broken container and log was found 6 metres away in a peppery location.
After raiding the boot of her car, hevwalker came up with a container big enough to suit.
The replacement cache has some extra 'junk' camo on top to protect from sun and weather.

Stayed in the Riverland overnight with LiB so picked up a few caches before heading home today...
The coordinates had us looking at the old dead tree but we found the broken container about 6m away...
We replaced the container and placed it back exactly where we found it...there could be pepper in the container

We found the cache at the co-ords listed but the cache container needs to be replaced. We loved the story in the cache notes.

Out for a Sunday drive and walks, easy find. Needs a new container, went to grab my spare out of car but must have used it. TFTC
Warning this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.
Found on a Geocaching hunt in the area. The old hall has seen better days so to has the cache container. TFTC
found with sir_spectre on a short holiday with kayak caches been targeted and the murray river national park been the camp site number ( 36 ). After doing all the kayak caches and hiking to the others over on the island, we took a drive to this one.
found with jacknor coming up from Katarapko National park on route to berri to grab a few more caches.
Surprised with the location. Quick easy find. Think those cache could do with some TLC. TFTC
A good location for a geocache. Easy find. The container needs to be replaced but logbook and contents ok. SL TFTC
Alice trip 2017. Day 3. My third day of lone travel and it took me from Renmark to Burra via Barmara. A real mixture of caches today, including a great walk by the banks of the murray near the border.
Thanks.

I'm sure some great events were held in this now sad looking hall. Found without a problem, clever hide.

No the tree hasn't fallen over the cache! No the cache is not wedged in the tree and can't be extracted! The cache is healthy, hidden and requires only some minor effort to retrieve.

A tree has fallen over the cache and although we could see it there is no way we could get the log to sign it.
My first Geocaching and I found your cache. Very clever how you hid it. Thanks for the message on logging . Kezza

Brodie, muggle partner and I were at Berri for an event yesterday at our 'home' for the weekend
Today was head for our real home day and I was supposed to be back in Adelaide by 6.30pm for a meeting but at 8pm, we were just leaving Barmera
There was just too many great spots to visit and caches to find
All up, 40 caches for the day (well, 40 after we had been to bed and slept ) and the last 2 were FTFs which required a small (about 20km) detour from our journey home.
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
Old time dances
My parents also used to attend dances in many country halls similar to this one.
A quick find today of the cache and that's good camo as muggle partner missed it

Time for a cache maintenance run along the wandering heroes trail in cahoots with Aussie M&M, CP Wanderer and Clare007. That done it was off to the Loxton Pub for lunch. [^] That done it was time for repay CP and grab a few he needed and a few more besides.
It was so hot I parked on the opposite side of the hall just to be in the shade. When we walked around I discovered that there were some trees which would have done. GZ was in the sun so no matter, we got the cache.
Thanks morrikins for the cache.

I love the simple story you tell about your parents dancing. I love old country halls because they are the heartbeat of country communities. My cousin was married recently in the Underbool Hall. Our first house had reclaimed floorboards from the Merbein Hall where Aussie Mark had performed as a child. TFTC.
Out this way for a engagement party so stopped in for a few local caches as well with Mattycat, quick find while people were at the courts on the other side TFTC morrikins
A few quick riverland caches with Purrfect Di and Mr and Mrs Froghoppin.
While a bowling match was happening on one side, the coast was clear by the cache!

Was getting dark so was hard to find i nearly gave up until i read recent activity!
What horrible weather we are having today cold and raining so get the CatKids out of the house and find a couple of caches to keep them happy. We had a great family day out despite the weather. Catkids found this one nice hide. TFTC
The Old Winkie Hall is typical of so many local halls scattered around the mallee
This hall actually seems to be used occasionally
Though some of the infrastructure seems to be crumbling [:o]
Out back of the hall today, I narrowed down GZ
But could not find the cache !!
I wasn't giving up just yet !!]
And in a last desperate attempt to find a cache I poked something !
Aha !! It's loose
And there behind the sneaky camo was a cache
I thought I was going to miss this one
TFTC, camo replaced !!!

Just a note to say we checked on cache, good job we did because camo was not there.
We replaced the camo so as not to be easily spotted.
Please replace camo when replacing the cache! Thanks

Out for the morning caching with Just Me Now and ROMA123. I love these old halls, makes you think about the history and all the people who came here. Thanks for the cache morrikins and for bringing us here.
Quite an easy find, what a shame to see the state of repair this place now finds itself in. Still a bit of fun out caching today, great fun with fellow cachers.
A fantastic June Long weekend with Gemini7, JustMeNow & JJ52 at the Barmera Country Music Festival.. Lovely old hall, you can almost still hear the music.
