Today we headed down to attend some event towards Sydney.

This was our second stop for the day, unfortunately it was a short stop as we were pressed for time trying to make another event, but we still managed to say hello and catch up with some familiar faces again.

Thanks for the event.

14-Mar-15
Thanks ADI organising it was great to put more faces to names and to hear about some fantastic adventures.

14-Mar-15
Enjoyed the get together, didn't enjoy the bee sting!

14-Mar-15
I spent less time with the cachers and more time collecting bottle tops from the fountain - my CITO contribution.

Thanks for organising the event today ADI, it was great to put faces to names. I wasn't organised enough to bring a puzzle to solve but I did bring pie - well quiche for a cache event. Also good to visit this area now that it's been redeveloped. Got some good ideas on the next kid friendly caches to attack.

Yay! Thanks for solving my pi puzzle for the Tasmanian apple.

14-Mar-15
Happy Pi Day!! Thanks ADI for hosting this event as you know it got me out of the dilemma of being at a conference and grabbing a souvenir by attending an event today. The good news I arrived back at the conference and no one even realised I had taken off for 2 hours. Great idea to bring your puzzle problems, would have had one if the facebook group couldn't help me last night. Going to get my mystery cache after the conference. Can I claim FTF as I was first to arrive lol? SL #1818 on streak day #982 TFTE

My wife was working at the Glebe Markets so this event suited nicely. Nice to have pi day on a weekend this year as well. Always good to catch up with geo-minded folk, some familiar and others new. Got some great ideas for some of those hard to solve caches!

TFTEC ADI!

PS Guess what I grabbed for lunch on the way home?

Thanks for a great time AlphaDeltaIndigo,
Talked to plenty of people, visited some trackables, dropped and took a couple.
I was not able to solve the Puzzle I was looking for help with but gained information about other things.

14-Mar-15
great to catch up old and new friends that love this game. Swapped a few trackables to keep them moving. Thanks ADI for the get together

What a great event! Well done ADI for orgainising the event. Loved the sudoku and the PI questions. It was great to meet a lot of local cachers and swap puzzle hints and clues. I hope the visitors from Hong Kong had a great afternoon of caching before they return home tomorrow. Good luck for your 1000th cache.

On a day full of events and pie, Team Senz and I headed down from Newcastle this morning to stop by one event earlier this morning before making a brief appearance at this event. We managed to find a park quite close which was a great start to the event, and we soon spotted some familiar faces sitting at GZ with lots of pi related questions and puzzles. After a chat with those in attendance, we had to cut our stay short as our next objective of the day was to try and get to another event in Gosford. This was a great little spot to have this event, and it was interesting checking out some of the buildings that have been built around it. Happy Pi day, and here's to next years event.

Gratias AlphaDeltaIndigo.

Thank you for a great day Adi, beaut catching up with some old faces and meeting of some new cachers. Unfortunately no pi's solved or pies for me today Sad but it was a most enjoyable get together just the same, thanks once again and happy caching Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

I had an interesting time putting some faces to familiar names. It was a shame that I didn't leave myself enough time to chat with everyone. Although I didn't attempt the event puzzle, I got a great tip from the owner of a local brainbuster cache. ADI, thanks for organizing this!

14-Mar-15
Thanks ADI, and it was a total pleasure meeting you. Hope to catch up soon. Wink

Arrived just after 11am after attending to a few non-attempted caches nearby.

It was a beautiful sunny day and great to see so many people come out. Unfortunately I left before the group photo was taken but it was still great to meet everybody and to be introduced to some brand new faces, not names necessarily but certainly faces.

The enthusiasm was great to see and good to see everyone helping each other with their various problematic puzzle caches.

I had never been to Central Park before so it was nice to hang out in this tucked away and peaceful area. While I was here I snuck along to the cache just a short walk from the event to turn it into a smiley.

Thanks ADI for putting on a great event and for being so welcoming to everybody. The Pi/Pie theme was fantastic and well-supported by all.

It was a very busy Saturday for us today. It started with some shopping, a meeting with Zalgariath and some Sydney City Council Staff at Sydney park for an "abandoned" Seniors Week Geocahing Event, an attempt to find an elusive (for us) a cache in that park and now this Event Cache before heading off to try to complete four more tasks before finally collapsing in a heap very late tonight.

Mr Ozjeeper's visit was therefore unavoidably brief with just enogh time to drop off the "Hip to be Square" TB, to say "Hi" to some old and new Cachers and get a hint for "Amy Walks on Water" that has had us beaten a few times now.

Thanks ADI for hosting this event (complete with pies) to honour Pi Day!

14-Mar-15
Thanks for organizing another great event ADI. TFTE! Big Grin

14-Mar-15
Would like to attend, hopefully pick up a pie on the way. (8D)

13-Mar-15
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow with your math puzzles (solving a math cache would give u the chance to go find it tomorrow after the event). If you don't have a math puzzle cache, the closest math cache would be gc4vktr
Bring your math genius muggle mate(s) along too! All are welcome Smile
You can drop your tbs in the event now if you're bringing any to the event.
See you!

I seriously hope there is more green than the current satellite photos show....

Unfortunately with four events on in Sydney today I can't get to them all.

Have a great day, thanks for the invite.

1 week more for pi day!
I have added 30 mins to the event time (11am-12:30pm). Come sooner if you can! I have added a little activity for the cachers who reach early and wait. I am going to bring some easy and some difficult Pi related math problems. I will also bring some mini and diabolical sudokus. You can work on these at your own pace.
Since I asked you to bring a mystery cache that you couldnt solve (math related), I would recommend also bringing a math-loving-muggle along with you, so the rest can share their brain power Smile.

Reminder:
- there is a souvenir for attending the event.
- there is also a souvenir for finding an "unknown" type cache on the day of the event

Note:
- Event timings changed to 11am-12:30pm (come and go when you please)
- 2 hours free parking is available in Broadway shopping center
- if you don't have a math puzzle to solve, check out coord.info/gc4vktr
- if you're making and are the sharing kind, homemade pies are welcome Wink
- BBQ available
- Although there is a long bench, there might be shortage of space on said bench. If you are not comfortable sitting on the steps or directly on the grass, then I would recommend bringing a garden chair
- If you know a cacher who has a knack for puzzles, be sure to invite them to join us too!
- Trackables are welcome. Try to limit dropping up to 3 TB's per username (i would hate for TB's to be lost)
- a bag of freebies will be on the table
- dog friendly park

Seeee youuuuu sooooon!!!

06-Mar-15
see you there

04-Mar-15
Would love to come. Logging now to keep in touch. Will know closer to the event whether we can make it. Thanks for organising, Adi. Cheers... Gaztek

03-Mar-15
Yelyac's baseball team have just scraped in to the finals and will be playing on Pi day. We haven't been given a time yet, but it may mean missing some or all of the Pi events around Sydney. We'll see...

01-Mar-15
Looking forward it Wink

Hi AlphaDeltaIndigo,
Thanks for the chance to seek reluctant advise. It is something that until now I have refused to accept, leaving all the puzzle caches I can't solve sitting in the pile of one day maybe caches that I look at from time to time.
I am looking forward to the chance for others to give me some help with more than a dozen puzzles.

28-Feb-15
Should be able to attend this one. Have to find a puzzle to do as well, for the second souvenir

27-Feb-15
I am running a workshop at Sydney Uni from 1pm to 1:30pm so the timing and location of this event fits in that I should be able to make a brief appearance. Sorry geodogs won't be able to attend.
