No luck for us here today, but did enjoy looking over the 65 images in the gallery on this one
Thanks capperz

#1878 As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.
Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.
Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.
It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

One of the many caches we found on our campervan journey from Lower Hutt to Tauranga. A mighty and enjoyable journey through many great and iconic parts of the north island. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to new places. Sorry for the generic log.
GPS on the blink again but used the hint and lucked in first place we looked. TFTCSL
Heading to Feilding and grabbing some caches on the way. A quick find here while trying to avoid people chatting at a truck on the roadside. Could not figure what the roofed wall is about, I assume it is to be a memorial wall? A nice memorial near the cache too - Thanks for the placement capperz.
Taking a friend out for a quick trip to break the monotony for her of being at home so up to Chelty and an ice cream and to find the cache, of course, We bought some lovely fresh asparagus at the store which was locally grown..very nice! Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
Quick find on my way home - bought a sausage roll from the shop across the road and enjoyed it while investigating this peaceful little area.
Thanks for the cache capperz!
Thanks for the cache capperz!
Not quite where I expected to find it with the clue but found it was by my muggle brother - hoping i have converted him cause i could use his help with com of the puzzles. Great placement as the five us us could look around without looking out of place. TFTC.
Heading homeward after a foray to Apiti and Kimbolton and we stopped by here.
Made a straightforward find on the cache in an area previously overlooked by us.
Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

I liked the way that you can wander in and find this one without passing traffic paying any attention. Quickly found, thanks capperz.
After completing the Rotorua Tough Guys & Girls Challenge yesterday it was time for me to head south in preparation for work on Monday. With the road conditions as they were I was very unsure if I was going to make it. So after making my way down here (the long way around), driving through plenty of slush I made it to this cache of course driving very carefully.
Had made it past the mountain and while looking for missing minutes for a local challenge I headed out to here to get the required numbers.
A very nice little detour (via Vinegar Hill) and you could certainly see the recent effect of the rains. Nice little find in a quiet spot out of the way from passers by
Thanks for the placement and the fun

On our way north from Palmerston North, nice easy place to stop, wish I had seen the entrance nearer the cache before I walked over the boggy ground towards the cache, nice easy find once there, pity the war memorial is hidden away in here.
My younger brother had a four-day table tennis tournament in Palmerston North. Rather than sit around and watch paint dry, I decided to take a caching tour of the Manawatu... Joined by Gap (of Fap and Gap).
Our last day of caching in the Manawatu... We've had such a great time visiting some heavy cache-populated trails. Now we need to find some specific caches for our current license challenge... This one wasn't on our target list, but just clearing the area of caches that have appeared after we last visited... A quick find. TFTC.

Third day caching down this part of the country and today is no exception. We are on a mission.
6pm - Co Ords seemed a little out but soon found right corner. SLTFTC

[green] Heard a rumour that Capperz may be archiving some of his caches around the Manawatu so since I was up for the event in Wanganui I made it an aim to do the loop around Kimbolton. But the ferry is booked at lunchtime, so that meant a 6am start. Etherlord hadn't done these caches either, so he came along. All logs signed as ECATS - Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid.
Always thought this park with its odd... thing-under-the-roof ought to have a cache. Between that and the obelisk it is kinda hard to decided what I would have focussed the cache on. The park as a whole, probably.

There lots of muggles across the road when I pulled up but fortunately they all leapt onto their cycles and disappeared around the corner leaving me in peace. TFTC
cache number 25 of our 26 cache (for me) back-road blitz road trip to clear a chunk of Capperz' Kimbolton caches.
I left my GPSr in the car and followed the Seagnoid to where he thought GZ was, only for his phone to lead us elsewhere. He had a quick fossick at where ever his phone lead him, and I followed up the rear re-checking his fossickings. Yip, there it is...
After signing the log, I made tS return it even though he didn't know where it had come from.
He had seen me stand up after exclaiming "found it", and so he had a general idea, but he figured it out pretty easily and returned it correctly.

One of many finds during a 1288km weekend cache raid of the area. We enjoyed great weather, fun caches and we managed to fill a few boxes on some challenges we are working towards. Indeed we have stopped here for a break on many occasions either for grumpy kids or doggy pit stops but this time was much more rewarding TFTC.
In the area after a hunting trip and decided to grab a few caches on the way home.
Another cleverly constructed cache concealed and centered in Cheltenham by Capperz, circa 21st century. Cheers for the cache, Capperz (CFTCC)

A herd of friendly cows rushed over as we found the cache, had a quick look at the nearby memorial before moooving off, TFTC.
Lovely quiet evening with no one around. I went for one place and hubby went for the other and hubby had it in no time at all! TFTC
No digging this time round nice easy grab bar the fact I stabbed my bum on dead stick trying to stay low. Tftc
Out and about getting a few caches in this part of the country. There had been some digging work done at the GZ, and all the dirt had been placed right on top of the cache. Luckily I had a previous finder with me who confirmed where the cache was and it was dug out. Thanks for the cache.
Glad a womble had dug this out before we arrived! Did wonder about the freshly dug earth - not sure what is going on here and how secure the cache will continue to be. TFTC
Have been to this rest area before and still none the wiser about the brick edifice under a shelter at the other end of the area. You'd think it was some kind of monument - but there is no signage, no plaque, no clue as to what it's about. Anyone know?

stopped off on our way from Taihape to Feilding. A nice place for a quick stop & cache.
The monument/wall under the shelters an unusual feature! TFTC capperz

Yay!! [FTF] at 6.50 a.m. I headed out and found this before the heavy rain. Had good 'cover', with a truck conveniently parked overnight beside GZ. Over the years I've driven this way and never noticed the rest area & monument - great place to hide a cache. Thanks capperz for the cache.
A quick easy 3TF at 10.15 a.m., as we don't rise as early as Popmac and 4Tees. TFTC
2TF. Tftc. Lovely little rest area. Had thought about putting a cache here myself.. But got beaten to it! Well done.
