We were in Northamptonshire to attend a couple of unusual events. This gave us the opportunity to pick up some Church Micros in the area. Smile
We camped in our cachemobile as we usually do.
All caches were nice easy finds (unless otherwise stated), taking us to some lovely locations and great buildings with interesting history.
Many thanks to the co's for placing and maintaining for us to enjoy.

Found @ 12:43. Parked in the little layby and ambled up the hill admiring the herringbone stonework in the end wall, we tried the church but it was locked so pressed on and soon had the cache in hand, log signed and replaced as found, again all good here kryfto...
Thanks for the cache, Linda & Henry.

I parked on the other side of the church and followed the footpath around the wall to a quick find at GZ. I decided to check out the church. When the gate was stubborn to open, I went over it. The church was unlocked allowing a look inside. The list of abbots/rectors was interesting. In the beginning they only had given names, but as time went on surnames appeared. All male until the most recent, who is female; showing continuing evolution. TFTC kryfto.

Grabbing some church micros on a scenic drive up to North Yorkshire missing out the A43. This is a much nicer route. Quick find though the foliage was starting to take over. TFTC

On a trip from Cornwall to Norfolk, and we are after a few caches on the way. Still raining so had a look inside the church - lovely memorial to the fallen from the Great War inside. After that, a nice quick find. Fantastic clock on the tower by the way. Thanks for the cache.
