A nice quick find, Cheers.
Today is the day we head to New Plymouth, after some time biking the trail from the sea to the city. Another great weather day..
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Found and signed as part of Team IE. TFTC! Took a bit of spotting as I'd made an incorrect assumption.
Nice quick find today in the most likely spot. Log is full and wet so couldn't sign log.
By this time we'd dropped the dog back at home and headed back out in the car to have a go at a couple along this walkway. Parked at the end and had a total of 5 in the target view, though only managed 3 of them. This was a Q E F once I parted the living camo!

Day 2 of our visit and after driving from Wellington airport all the way to Whanganui yesterday without a single stop for a cache ( a new record?- probably), we got to our daughters at 1900 ready for dinner and a hope for a few caches the next day. And so it was. We walked the dog, walked along the riverside and grabbed a few park n grabs on the way back South. Good to be back caching here, some decent cache hides in this town, and the surrounding areas.
For a while now it's been planned that we are going to head overseas from Blenheim and come into Wellington for a weekend. High on the list of things that had to happen were; visit the 'Scale of our war' at Te Papa museum, mrs capperz and Livi to go to the World of Wearable Arts show (WOW) at TSB Arena, find some geocaches in the region in the acquired hire car, head up to Whanganui to spend the night with our other daughter, and head back home on Sunday evening, via Otaki shops for the flight home. Quite a whistle-stop 36 hours and mission(s) were possible, and achieved. Much rain and mud was also experienced but that's NZ in October for you!

Always this ... bushes. And today the plants are really wet from the strong rain during the night. Finally we got it

Was in Bulls today so decided to head over to Whanganui to find a few caches. Thanks for the cache.
Wanganui Day 2
After lunch we wanted to head towards the ocean, although it isn't a pleasant sight.
We found a variety of caches in many different hides. This was liking a tiki tour of the area.
This was our 2nd visit to this location, this time it was an instant find.
Thanks for placing this cache supasi

Will we wondered off in the wrong direction. Turned around and walked a bit more to yay beep beep phone goes off you are close. Oldest girl found this one great cache.
Out for a walk along the stop bank with the whole EtherLord Clan, including Nana and Grandad.
Took us a while to find this little bugger, but we got there in the end.
EtherMiss suggested that we change the container out for a \[oxymoron\] "Larger Micro" \[/oxymoron\], but she was quickly schooled in the art of not "fixing" something for the CO without permission. If fact, it was EtherLady who supplied the education, rather than me!

No such luck today. Looked around in all the places I could think of for about half an hour. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.
Nice fast grab was looking in the wrong place on the first visit but have a better sense on how they work now TFTC
Had a day off work, so went for a walk to town looking for a few Caches on the way 3.5 hours later I had 9 finds and 3 fails Thanks all.
Having a day trip to Wanganui with Casey2201 and Missymoomee from the Naki. Sneaky find. Cheers
This was a tricky find had me all over the show but found signed and put back. Nice spot for it
Out for a southbound mission with fellow cachers, Thatsneat and TMNT, trying for a 50 caches in one day down in Whanganui. This one is our number thirty one on the Riverside Ramble Walkway, cache all good and very nicely hidden, took a long arm to get to it. Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap.TFTC! Blenheim Bear

Found today with my bear and ninja in crimes. Keep getting the song stuck in my head when I read this cache hehe
Great to accompany haydn.seek to Wanganui today on her well-planned geocaching expedition. Many thanks haydn.seek.
We encountered quite a few frustrating hides where either we simply didn't get it , or the cache actually did seem to be missing. However, the day was a success overall - good company, lovely weather and a reasonable number of finds each.
A fairly straightforward find here, if a little awkward to manage. TFTC

Road workers doing there thing not far from cache lucky they not paying any attention to us. Took a minute to spot hide. Sign of log and off on our way to the next tftc
AJ + AJ was our first cache and we managed to find it after a little bit of searching !
This took so much longer than it should have, I dont know why I was looking for a bigger container, this was the last one on the track to get. Tftc
Today was a day to sign off a few caches in Whanganui. Next was a big walk along the river bank towards the mouth.
Had to wait for a muggle to move on before going for this one.
Cheers for the cache.

I have been a bit slack during the month of September (only finding one cache before today) so I needed to get out to increase my numbers. It was palnned for a car full of cachers to head over to Wanganui, but as the day neared, numbers dwindled so it ended up just being myself and Tommygun9. It was a warm spring day with plenty of muggles out and about. I ended up finding 30 odd caches with three frustrating DNF's
We initially overshot this one as we were eager to get on with the walk. Headed back and started searching in all the likely areas. Took a while but Tommygun9 eventually found it after reading an additional hint on the cache page.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

We overshot this one so after a quick walk back and a little search the cache was soon in hand.

SpudNZ and I headed off for a September afternoon mission and Wanganui was the destination. I ended up with about 30 odd caches (on a dot day too) and we met another cacher along the way. I had only found three caches for September so this was a fortunately timed trip. Thanks to all the local hiders for making today's trip enjoyable.

This as a quick detour of the main drag and despite there being some council workers working at the corner of the roads this was a quick find thanks to height hint. So it was quickly retrieved, signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache and another smiley face.
A few muggles around as a burnout comp was taking place just around the corner. Mmmmmm burning rubber.
A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.
So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!
We both had a guess when we walked to GZ as to which side it was on, I won! Thanks for the hide.

Well another mission down the line in what HKCB and I were expecting to be another large caching weekend where numbers were the target, Sleep was for the weak, OCD=commitment , and petrol was a must. We left home at 6pm and headed straight down here to start what was going to be a long couple of days, so with much planning (compliments of HKCB) and a good supply of nourishing caching supplies in the back.
With a total of 1250 kms (just a short drive) and 5 hours [xx(] of sleep we were definitely going to earn our rest by Sunday evening when we got home. Oh, we even managed to attend an event along the way and meet fellow cachers from the area while in Wanganui.
Well it might just be a new day but we've already covered some miles in the quest for smilies. Sleeping in the car never gets any easier on the body but it does have the added bonus of saving money for more petrol.
This was my thirty third in daylight but also our one hundred and fourty second for the day not too shabby we think. As we continue up to Wanganui to our goal for the day and an event in the evening, we are glad to have finally made it this far
Thankfully both HKCB and I enjoy caching through the night (and the day), well we have had plenty of experience of it, especially as we are both working on individual challenges, mine being the DGSc Challenge and includes the Night Caching elective.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

A straightforward find after waiting for a muggle to go past. A cool but fine late afternoon to be out and about caching.

We pulled up near GZ, but just as we got out of the car, the gate near where we wanted to go started to open, so we had a bit of a wander over the stop bank to look around until the muggle vehicle had left. The container was then quickly located & log sheet was signed. TFTC supasi.
Finally got a free day to catch up on all the caches that we haven't been able to get out and do. Supposed to be a park and grab but we managed to balls it up. We're blaming heatstroke - and it took rather a lot longer than necessary but not enough to be reputation-destroying. Did the usuals and took off for the next. TFTC
Out and about today after a week away just to clean up all the new caches I haven't managed to get to. Found that I hadn't loaded the cache so used the phone and hint and soon spotted the hiding place. Many thanks TFTC
Up at 6 am only to find that the early or was it late cacher has the FTF but picked up Jono S before the
Monday bike ride and soon had the cache in the hand. Keep up the hiding of caches.

This cache was right on our usual monday morning riding route, so a quick deviation of the cycleway and wammo. GPS was a little distracted, but it was clear where the cache should be, and there it was.

Relaxing Sunday evening and saw this and The Cage cache come up so loaded onto the GPS and bolted out the door. A quick stop at The Cage for a signing then onto Pump It Up.
Headed to GZ and spent a bit of time searching with the torch to no avail so widened the area by a couple of metres and there it was. Opened up the cache to find another blank log sheet so signed it off and off again.
Thanks for the placement and another FTF supasi.
