Out and about chasing a few gemstones today and seemed to have a bit of a concentration of them around here. Thanks for placing these caches out here, pretty easy to make my way around undisturbed these days.
Thanks deshut for placing this Regular Traditional - this is find 1387 for BFMC

It has been some time since we last cached in the Point Henry area. Today we returned to look for one cache that we missed during our previous visit and to look for others published since.
We parked at the gates and walked along Windmill Road to look for the three caches in the area. Rain was threatening but we were lucky that only a couple of very brief showers arrived while we were walking. Accurate coordinates and the hint led yo a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks deshut for this and other caches in the area.

Got to GZ and thought that it would be where it was, and therefore didn't have to use either the phone or the phone.
Desolate looking area out here. I can see they have tried to make it slightly attractive but a somewhat losing battle I'd suggest.
Found the cache anyway. Thanks

Loaded up the Deadly Treadlies for a trip to Geelong. Travelled on this hot day with BettyBoo3747 and Howjen567 to see what we could find.
We didn't read the logs until we got home, so we didn't know that it has all been replaced.
What we found was at GZ, but didn't look all that new.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15140. Travelling with Robmc and howjen567 towards Point Lonsdale. With bicycles on board we turned for Point Henry and the few caches we haven't yet collected around here.
It seems that Howard discovered the old cache - it was not a new 1 ltr Sistema and did not have a new log book. However, the one we found had a saturated log book. We left a new Rite-in-the-Rain sheet in a plastic bag in this cache. It might be worth a CO check to remove the extra container.
Thanks deshut

Haven't been down Windmill Road for quite a while, but when you do you realise that this area has the potential to be transformed into a spectacular passive recreation area now that Alcoa is slowly disappearing. Although how the council will keep the hoons, shooters and rubbish-dumpers out is going to be interesting. Anyway, this cache had disappeared, so there is a new 1 litre systema in its place. A new log, obviously, and a few trades.
Thank you for acknowledging the Needs Maintenance log of Sep/30/2018 .

After attending a CITO event on the Barwon I then went out in search of more caches to find and after finding 2 caches at Point Henry some time ago, I decided to try and finish off the area But I wasn't able to do it with one DNF, it still leaves me one to find.
I wasn't going to do these ones at first but then there would be unfound caches on the map in this area so I went for a walk and found them.
**Thanks to deshut for placing this cache.**

Back today to try and finish the rest of the caches around Point Henry and with the added incentive of visiting the brewery I only discovered yesterday. So with a new six pack in the car to try later it was back to the caches. Quite a bit of traffic around here despite there not seeming like there would be with the factories obviously in decline and the information centre abandoned. More than a few times I had to bypass one of the hides because of muggles and return on the way back. Seems like quite a bit of cacher traffic as well with lots of names in the log books from today, I even got a drive by while I was stopped at one of the hides who offered me some assistance before they headed off to finish the trail as well.
Thanks for the caches Deshut. The log in this one has got a bit of water in it and needs to be dried out. I didn't have any spare bags with me today unfortunately.

Out for an early morning walk and what better place to walk today than Windmill Road. A place I had not been too AND several caches Read the informative sign before finding a sodden log 5 metres out. Poured the water out of the container but was just able to make my mark TFTC deshut
Find #12 of the "Mad Scramble For Caches Before 3:30 Arrives" adventure.
Thanks heaps, DesHut!

Found after a pretty good search but when found should have seen it earlier.
having said that the container had water in it and the contents were very wet.
I left the log out in what little sun there was for the time it took me to gather the next one but still damp when returned. Everything else was dry but unfortunately log still very damp, was able to sign and return to hide place.
Good cache Deshut

We got to the end of this short off shoot and enjoyed reading the info board and just looking at the surrounds. Well worth the walk and the caches were great bonus's. We even managed to pick up a bit of waste that has great potential for a new hide.
TFTC and the walk.

Quite a warm and humid day today. Overcast and threatening rain, which eventually did, drowning us half way through this series.
Many thanks Darth Bridji and Ship Spotting Dude, deshut and Bushfire for this series and for the ongoing maintenance.
Where we can we will bring to light any issues with Caches.
Please forgive the generic nature of the log.

Life can pop up with many great mysteries such as is the Loch Ness monster real, do aliens really exist and of course, where is Windmill Rd No 4. Well at least we found number 5, oh well some things are best left unsolved.

After watching a few jets zoom around the sky (during the week leading up to the Airshow), I decided to seek out a few local caches. Why not, on such a beautiful day! Found after a minutes. Tftc!
Found by Mary & David at 1352. Arrived at the end of the road and saw lots of places where the cache might have been. Moved a few metres and looked back from the other side. Found the cache after a brief look around. Our thanks to deshut.
Careful of the bug in the container! Easy find again but worth the walk down the road. TFTC
This took the longest to make a find of the whole series which was to say it took about 2 minutes to locate.

Gorgeous summer weather had us heading down to the Bellarine Peninsula in search of 3 beach earthcaches. With the tide not working with us, being at it's highest at this point, we decided to tackle some of these caches. Time to take a trek down Windmill Road, the last one we'd find today. The tide impacted our attempt at this series too, this wasn't expected. We couldn't access the other two - I'll have to come back another day. Thanks for the cache, and the nice series deshut.

Out and about over the last 3 days to collect some smilies and green squares on the calendar.
The flies in the area were very annoying bordering on aggressive. Clearly they haven't heard of no means no!
I didn't have the right shoes to find the remaining two in the area, we'll attempt on another day
The walk up to the caches was definitely eery but kinda nice too, it's not often as a working mum I get to enjoy the quiet!
TFTC. Another find by the McPhail family.

It was the fourth day of my geocaching holiday and I had big numbers to find. At the end of the day I found 112 caches! I started out with the caches in this peninsula. You mentioned that there were pumps to fill in the surrounding lakes with water. I don't think they are working! Salt mud pans surrounded the trail in. I also spotted the dead remains of several different animals, not to mention the spent shells of shotgun bullets.
Had to look in a few different places before coming back and actually seeing it in a spot I had already checked.
Thanks for the cache.

This container was looking sorry, so l have replaced it with one of similar size and have added a few more swaps. Now out of the tidal effect and hidden by a flat rock.
A quick find at the end of the road the wind and weather did not deter us today. TFTC.

Out for a day of caching with cjfinda and robber44. Quick find at the end of the track. Sad to see some rubbish dumped on the side of the road but I guess it takes all sorts.......TFTC
Quick find as we reached the end of the road. No windmill in sight, but noce views of the bay, the smelter, around the peninsula, and back to Geelong. Tftc
TFTC deshut. Nice quick find on a lovely bright sunny cool winter's day on the Bellarine peninsula. Log wet but still functional. Put some tissue around it hopefully will absorb some of the moisture. Can be discarded by next finder. Jimmytherat
What a beautiful day for caching! Geohubby and I are out to get all the Point Henry caches. We made it to the water!! Log is a little damp but still useable. Took a little bit to find the right location. Tftc.
I had passed by this one earlier, so I could do #4 first. This was a quick find. TFTC deshut.
