first find on day 2 of the trip. quick find.
Out with the Mogni for a short trip out to the riverland, only 3 days. It was hot first 2 days where 40 degrees and the last day was 33 degrees. Since the rules just changed about covid 19 testing before and after entering vic to no testing, we changed our plans on the way up and decided to go via Murray Sunset National Park. The idea was to find as many caches as we could that haven't been found recently most hadn't been found in 3 months. On day 1 we replaced 10 out of the first 12 caches, all broken container and 1 log book replaced, and by the end of the day had a heaped medium bin liner bag full of broken containers, the hot mallee sun doesn't do the plastic containers any good. Day 2 saw us caching around Loch Luna and lake Bonney which is way easier driving around here in the dry then in the rain like my last visit here. Onlt 1/2 a medium bin liners back of replaced containers today, people must fix the closer to the highway caches more often. On day 3 it was back in to the mallee country and home via Pinnaroo. Getting those " out of the way caches ". Plenty of dirt roads where driven down and many, many back sandy tracks taken. It was good to explore all the country areas and stay off the highway.

Sir_spectre and I had a quick getaway to the Riverland. We were targetting the less found caches. We found an assortment of caches, and as regular for us manged to replace containers for several and put some fresh logbooks in others. It was a rather hot weather for a weekend of caching but the air conditioned car gave us some relief.

An epic day today with 30 fnds and 3 DNF's. Tree stump undamaged...Cache located... TFTC

Took a houseboat from Waikerie up to Cobby for a week, relaxing and kayaking on the river.
Went for a stroll under the bridge and found this one quickly. Huge old stump too. Thanks for the cache!

Mr Beetle waited with the van while I walked to this one from the suggested parking spot. Walked for too long on the top side of the track before noticing that the bottom wheel rut was a lot flatter. Duh!!!!!
Went past the blue eyed monster that dwells under the bridge and was soon at GZ where the cache was quickly spotted.
There was a shorter way back to the van but NUH!!!! Better to take the safe, flatter way.
Thanks.

The mud here wasn't quite as deep as the stuff yesterday so the Hilux had no trouble getting to GZ. And a quick find once there!

Adelaide Trip September 2017. Day 10. Driving Home. I left Adelaide and headed towards Robinvale via Renmark and Mildura. I took a bit of a detour for this run of caches out onto the river flat. I only missed one of them.

Made this one a drive by, found the cache easily, the log is wet but we managed to sign/stamp our names. [^]

Enjoyed the stroll to this cache.
Could drive to withing approx 15mtrs after attempting from another spot originally.
Log wet and smelly.
Dried as best we could and stamped the log.
Owner may need to check cache.
TFTC found with 3LG and Gwen from The X-Trailers.

Spending a couple of days in the riverland grabbing a few caches with Gwen from The X-Trailers and Liz, earthlight, hooked up the boat for some water caches and bought along my recently purchased Rapala Waders, a lot of laughs along the way and although not as many caches as we would have liked we managed to get quite a few of the harder to get ones on and in the water. A cooling afternoon was a perfect time to stroll along with Mattycat around the backwaters, other than the noise of traffic over the road this would have been a very tranquill locationTFTC Moneydork

Found myself in SA for other reasons this month, and McPhan agreed to join me for the trip back. The main purpose was the Yorke P geoart, but we finished these faster than planned, so had a relatively leisurely day around the Riverland heading east. We'd been though here several times over the years, and had largely cleaned the place out. Some great caches today, the product of an active caching community.
Sorry for the relatively generic logs, but after 900 caches in 6 days, I'm largely relying on the GPS record.
Thanks Moneydork for the cache.

10084 and 73rd of 90 found today.
Apologies for the generic logs. I usually try to write at least something different for each find but with 900 finds in 6 days there are a lot of memeory gaps.
I appreciate the efforts put in by all hiders and the maintenace as well. The efforts of South Australian cache hiders is why this is our 5th SA Odyssey - you keep putting them out and we'll keep coming over. (Power trails help to okay [:o)])
Riverland is a great area and having friends in the area helps too - and many thanks to Steve and Michelle for putting us up.

Enjoyed the view out over the backwater (even got some nice pics) [^]. TNLNSL.

I missed the parking spot first time as I was wondering why GZ was on the other side of the highway to where I was
Back at the parking spot, I spied the track to GZ.
Looks like a bit of a roundabout way to get to a spot less than 40 metres away, but I had no choice !!
Eeeewwwie !! This backwater is not so savoury
Graffiti, and a dumped fridge greeted me in the concrete canyon [:o]
And of course there was the constant noise !!
But there was a cache to be found, and I was in no danger of being run over by the highway traffic
Cache found, I wandered back to GZ.
The walk back would make sure me legs were back to the same length.
I'm sure the left one got longer on the walk here [:o)]

After a busy weekend was nice to get a few caches before it's back to work. Was a lovely place to go for a stroll bar the ants. Quick find after rereading the log. TFTC Moneydork
I took a punt on where to turn off in order to access this cache hide. As I overshot, I was convinced I had chosen the wrong side and was mentally working out the options once I had exited and got back up to the main road. After cracking a uey and slowly heading back I spotted the entrance to the stroll and my spirits lifted! Yes! However, with the Adelaide crew coming up for the weekend's events I thought the FTF might be still gone. I strolled along the track and, once at my destination, despite being very gentle did cause a cascade, so I knew to leave that area alone. A lap of GZ soon revealed the hidey hole and I was rewarded with a shiny, blank logbook! My third FTF today and #141 overall. Cache #2093. Thanks once again Moneydork!
A beautifully placed cache which provided us with a great outlook. Thanks Moneydork.
