21/4/19 1250pm searched snd searched gz. Found empty rusted eclipse container near by after previous 3 dnfs. Caches to be replaced
Cedar Grove camping for the long weekend. Decided to take the back road home. Instinctively law abiding, I needed the hint that the gate was unlocked! Tftc
We did not expect that we could go through the gate but once we realised that it was not locked it was an easy find. TFTC
We have set up camp for a couple of days at Kanganda, a good location to head along the Amamoor Muster Trail & the south along the Old Bruce Highway. A great contrast in regions from forestry , highways into small towns.
A good variety of locations & caches found.
Thanks for placing this cache SPlKE

cache jammed pretty tight into it's hidey hole... geohubby gave up and went off to find a suitable tool , meanwhile smaller hands and fingers tried from a different angle, and presto...... thanks for the cache!
Wow the gate was so off putting but once we read the reviews we climbed and found it quickly
Not sure whether this is private property or not but luckily GZ is a short distance beyond the entry gate. A quick find here. There was no logbook to be found so I just added a piece of paper as a replacement log.
If this was once a school, then its my kind of school. It looks like nothing but danger, corruption, chaos and therefore a lot of fun. It was also the first time I passed a car on the old highway.
I wasn't sure whether I was allowed to go through the gate to start the search. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere with no other living being around, surely the fun police aren't hiding behind the tree? I opened the gate and went through feeling like a real rebel without a cause. I'm lucky I went through because the cache was there. I would have been swearing for minutes if I didn't find it. tftc

A little scenic drive with the geogranny and novice1 and a token for these on the Old Bruce
We had just bought a new car and thought we would give it a run up here finding this series. We loved that thought had been given to making sure that we had a proper place to pull of the road to look for these caches. I had actually visited this old school in the 1990's long before it moved - didn't recognise anything though! Made a quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
Always sad to see a school have to close but in this case, not fun being so close to M1 highway. Log soon signed and on our way. Tftc
Up here on the Sunshine Coast for a 3 day weekend of caching. Decided to do as many caches as we could but not overdoing it. Found 80 caches in the 3 days and a big thank you to all CO's. It brought us to spots that we would not probably travelled. TFTC
Visiting the Sunshine Coast area for a few days of caching. Visited many interesting places and found a variety of cache containers. Thank to all the COs for the effort of placing and maintaining your caches.
Found it! I attended this school, for two days when I started grade 1. Then because of how buses ran I moved to Cooran school. We used to trounce the Federal kids every Kin Kin sports day
Stopped in on the way to Noosa, nice easy find once we realised where to park.

Typically my amazing geopartner KaleidoscopeCass made us stop for a typical aussie cache.. found with my amazing geopartner KaleidoscopeCass and find number #300 for me tftc!
Congratulations to my awesome geopartner WallabyTim for this being his 300th find!!! When I met my now fiance, WallabyTim had under 100 finds. It's been a thrill to tag along for some along the way as you've found over 200 caches in the past year and a bit. Bring on the next 200!!
We like these type of caches that have plenty of parking as today we had our caravan in tow.
We found the cache no worries.

#46 This one didn't seem to be hid quite right by the last cacher so we hid it a bit better...in the same spot though. Thanks for the cache.
Have been eyeing off The Old Bruce series since they were published a few months ago. Driving back to Townsville from Brisbane, I decided today was a great day to take a slight detour and try to locate these caches.
I was disappointed that the old school buildings have long since vanished, but see the new school across the new Bruce Highway.
Log signed. Took nothing and left nothing. Cache container and log in great condition.
Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1561.
Thanks for the cache hide **SPlKE**.

Driving past on the new highway I can see this series pop up around me, so chose today to take the old road and pick up a few caches on the way. Not where I thought it would be on approach, but easy enough once I trusted my GPSr.
Thanks for placing this cache, Sphir3 & jones.gang. Found in good condition.

Out and about in the geomobile today hunting down some smiles. After a mixed run yesterday I did not have nay DNFs today.
It was sheer luck that I did this one today. The Nuvi had lead me on a scenic tour around the back of Cooroy - map is not updated with the new highways exits. It did mean that I ended up on the old road rather than the new. Still I almost did not stop because it was school time.
Been a while since I have been here. Where did the school go. [?] No worries with hunting here now.
A nice quick find to start the day.

Found this one whilst introducing 'junglejulie' to the fun of geocaching. Easy to find once we got more adventurous. Brought back memories as our kids went to Federal School. Hard to believe there was a school there once!
Its all overgrown with loads of rubbish dropped around. Could not locate anything here
Had a bit of trouble negotiating the closed roads around the new highway. A nice walk along beside the creek from Federal hall soon had the old school site in sight, and the cache found. TFTC, Sphir3.
Up this way for Xmas and New Year ... and to attend the week-end event.
Today, YoungOldFella and I teamed up and headed out to find a few new caches and the new caches for the event.
A short walk from where we parked the car before making a quick find and moving onto the next one. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

On a caching run with Stopalot and Liz and Bruce prior to the 2016 Cachup at Traveston.TFTC.
After basing ourselves at Traveston in readiness for the Newbies event we headed out with another couple of teams to find a few caches. Nice one. Thanks to Sphir3 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
I had a morning free so decided to head up to Gympie via the Old Bruce Highway and pick up some caches on the way.
I parked the motor vehicle at a suitable spot and headed to GZ. Was required to enter a property through an unlocked gate however this did not present any problems.
The cache was found after a short search.
The log was signed and the cache replaced exactly as found.
Everything is good with this cache.

Drew up near GZ and were concerned about the access to the cache but there was no lock on the gate. Nice easy find and all ok with cache. TFTC Sphir3
Beeing on tour with our Campervan to Rainbow Beach we stopped here and found this small box.

Forgot log other one geocaching with Dranyer 14th September 2015 and I got dates fixed up TFTC
We found this cache very quickly but I was so disappointed. We still looked for a container which is big enough for my TB but this container was not big enough but still a nice location.
This was a surprisingly peaceful area at GZ and I honestly, after a quick find, could have just kicked back here for an afternoon siesta.
This Geocache was part of my trip up to Gympie today. I have noticed this series of caches on my map for quite sometime, though never have had the time to detour.
Normally, like every other person, I too have abandoned this old highway to utilise the new mammoth one now in place. I had a spare bit of time whilst travelling today and thought that I would put it to good use by converting a few smilies that always sit just off the highway on my travels up North.
The highway was so eerie as the entire time that I was on it, I only noticed two cars in passing. It really did have a post apocalyptic feel to it. But hey, it meant that no stealth was required and I really got to enjoy the hunt.
Thanks for the series jones.gang and sphir3 it was well put together!

Following this series north along the old highway. There really is no trace of the old school even though it was moved fairly recently. We checked out the new school later further up the road.
Quick find once through the gate.
Took geocaching blue stone, left purple teddy.
