Good to see this wee track is now open....with shoe cleaning stations either end.Could next finder please bring a more solid container...the yoghurt pot has a split....but paper still dry .
Found big container that said out and smelled like poop but didn't seem like the cache
Woohoo, first find of 2022 and first l9g since tge track has reopened. Very quick find thanks to the clue. Closest cache to my home
Met up with TheWonderStuff this morning to go caching out West and add a few more gemstones to our collections and try and unlock the vault. It took us a while to locate this but a hint from a previous log helped us find the cache.
Out finding a few caches today - Good fun. Thanks for a clue in the logs made this easier

You never know what to expect after recent DNF here. Happy to locate cache safe and secure after few moments at GZ. Pretty much bang on my device. TFTC
My 2nd visit here as my first time looking was thwarted by lots of muggles making the most of the stunning weather and they made looking for the cache difficult. A return visit today and after an extensive search I found the cache. The container is broken and needs replacing but I put in a new waterproof log in the meantime.
This one had us searching for quite some time. Finally read back through some logs to get a better idea of what we were looking for. Then we found the twist, and then the cache. Log was soaked, picture attached. Thanks for this one!
Found after a while of searching although I think we came from the wrong direction. TFTC.
I was here before with ivss_xx, but we couldn't locate the cache. Today with a better focused mind, I did managed to find the Twist and there by the cache. Its all good here. tftc.
Venturing further afield for the daily cache. Beautiful sunny day if a bit on the windy side to enjoy this walk. Cache quickly located. Container is deteriorating badly and needs to be replaced. TFTC.
Knocking off a few local caches with LikeTips and made our way out here. All nice and quiet through here and after a quick search the cache was in hand and we were off to the next one. TFTC
It's great to be out in the Titirangi bush again. Cache took me too long to find, my own fault for not reading the description! Took the TB. TFTC
A visit from Torbay down to another cousin today. After a great lunch and catch up we wandered down the road to the beach. We had a search for the Local Heroes but no success (we thought maybe it was only accessible at low tide).
Up to the Twist and after a quick search and a great hint we had the cache. My cousin, fascinated by the whole concept was really pleased with the find. It wouldn't surprise me if he signs up and starts doing it for himself.
Left a TB from the UK.

Vistra and I were in the area to pick up a solved multi, this was a little tricker for the morning, followed the description and the hint and soon came up trumps with the cache. It is all cracked and needs fixing. TFTC

Went out again today with Yorkshirekiwi83 to find a few more caches between Titirangi and Huia. Stood back and observed the area, before spotting something that matched the description and hint then soon had the cache in hand! TFTC!
Good find here for this one with a nice twist to the tale. Cache log a little damp as the container is cracked. Might need replacing. Tftc
Took me ages of endless searching on this one, I found the co-ords to be pretty good when I finally found it! I had in mind a tree I would be looking for or maybe a fern. Sure enough the title says it all. Haven't seen a vine like that before. Cool. Paper damp but still easy to sign. Thanks for that.
Today i introduce the game to few news players from the Borders Beyond backpacker.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
This cache nearly sent me round the "twist". I should have ignored the GPS and stuck with the hint! stay on the main path. I decided to follow the GPS off trail onto many of the small tracks, finding myself at the cliff edge too many times in my quest to get the GPS to settle.
After climbing up the steps, then walking back down studying the GPS screen, eventually I found the twist! I tried to average some co-ords, but my GPS eventually said GZ was 5m away, and the co-ords where only 1 off the published co-ords, so not worth the writing down. This is a hot spot of GPS confusion, beware
The cache container is broken in several places, and a slug was feasting on the log! travelling light today, so if the next finder has a spare container????? Thanks for the hide, always a beautiful place to visit.

Had us looking for a while before reading other logs and picking up a few clues then found quickly tftc
Great find thanks, one of our first so good for the 2 x little people to be able to find & reach, Thanks
Going round the twist alright with this one. Gps was no help and had me about 30m away, as a result hint made sense from there but in totally different area. Result. ...frustration. ..Plan B. Fortunately I know a Sickness Beneficiary with no other purpose in life so I called him. Thanks Andy, but even then it was a challenge given i was so far out with gps. FINALLY once I was in right area cache was soon to hand. TB picked up and will be on trip to Wellington tomorrow. Cheers V.
Felt like I was walking around in circles here today, eventually made the grab.Have left a TB.
My second go after getting another hint from a fellow geocacher, I knew what to look for and soon had the cache in hand. Took some new coords for GZ so if the CO wants them I can provide them.Tftc
Thanks for this bluemimi ...great to have another cache out west ! First time I was rushing to go to work . This time I was totally relaxed , found the clue mentioned in the title straight away , and there was the cache ! phew !
Easy find once we stepped back and tried again. Suspect the container won't remain watertight for long, will need an upgrade.
Around the twist to be sure.
My second visit, as ran out of time last try. Followed the wrong hint for a while and was about to give up again, when I spotted a possible place and there it was. Tftc

GPS played around a bit. Searched for about 15 min with no luck and it was getting dark. With coords a bit suspect judging by previous logs I wasnt going to spend more time stumbling around in the dark. Might try another time.
GPS was bouncing around in this area today. After a bit of searching this sneaky hide was found - lucky I didn't stand on it! TFTC
This one was too tricky for me today ......I didn't allow enough time for a thorough search ...
Gps had me about 15 metres away so a quick phone call soon had me closer! Quick find after that! Tftc
Hmm had me circles for a couple of mins trying to narrow gz down then realised i was nearly standing on it..lol tftc Lokky 1 13 March 2015 13:35
Yaaaah!! FTF number 1. A challenge in the dark with minimal hint. Mysterious moving lights turned out to be cats watching me from the gloom. Other than that I was on my own . Thanks for the late night adventure! G.R.O.W.
