Pam found it. Out having a nice walk through a tropical paradise. Very nice. Thanks for bringing us here. Signed as VIIPERS TFTC
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you TeamAstro for placing and maintaining it as this cache enhanced our visit to this beautiful island.
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself. I was just emerging from the undergrowth when a group of bird watchers came along and one of them was not happy that I had been 'off' the path. Brushed that off and on to the next cache
This is a great story, hidden in the Norfolk jungle but such an amazing discovery that not many people would know about! On a two week holiday on Norfolk Island stunning vistas everywhere I look, unfortunately the camera doesnt do it justice!Hard to look for caches when the scenery is so stunningThank you so much TeamAstro for placing this game piece here, highlighting this interesting story and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Once you see the tanks it is easy to find, but you really have to be careful to get down. With @CaitlinTW. Thanks for the cache
This one a little difficult to find for a 79 year old. Ended up on my rear end but all's good that ends well. I found it.TFTC endeavour3
Found with oldmorty on our way up to Mount Bates. Thanks to the CO for the cache.

Good story. Enjoy these snippets of urban history. Found with MummyPenny. Thanks TeamAstro.
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found while out caching with ilook4geo & goingplaces2 during our epic week on tour with 35 other ceocaches exploring this beautiful Island. Thanks to Team Astro for the cache.
Up early with ADI, Crash and Haveryt to see a sun rise on the top of Mt Pitt and watch the island walk up. Plenty of roosters letting us know the sun was up, photos down and now to find the caches along this stretch with ADIWe completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Found while out caching with ilook4geo and Geologic2 during a full on caching week of adventure. No problem here. Thanks go to TeamAstro for placing and maintaining this cache.
Found with the G8 crew on our way up to Mt Bates. An interesting story and always amazed to see infrastructure up here.
#14422 9:55An easy find on our walk from Mount Pitt to Mount Barker.TFTC TeamAstro.
(12 of 32 Today - including 17 Adventure Labs)Day 3 on Norfolk Island- and out gain with the Woof Patrol (aka Calypso 62, Jackscruff; Goldberry17, FunFurMe, chookie & me). After the early morning event - you do realise not everyone drinks coffee - we headed up to Mount Pitt, then cleared a few more back at Kingston after our historical tour there.Put a huge dent in the caches on this island today. Maybe I will manage to find them all. But we have a fun group to cache with - and one that takes the time to appreciate the locations we visit. And got to join Goldberry17 on her 1000th find! HUZZAH!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Interesting spot - and my route there wasnt optimal. And it started so well. Signed, replaced and the group headed to the final cache on the trail, and the highest point on the island.SLTNLN TFTC

#7579 NI Day 3With our afternoon Convict Settlement Tour finishing a little earlier than expected, harveyt2079 and myself looked for some suitable caching targets to take advantage of the remaining daylight. We chose the Botanic Gardens AL. After finding the bunus and still plenty of daylight to spare, we headed uphill towards Mt Pitt. With only 15 minutes before sundown, we rushed to grab the furthest cache. The sunset was very overcast compared to what we witnessed yesterday, but definitely keen to return for a sunrise perhaps.TFTC TeamAstro
That is some interesting information about this location!I would have liked to come here at sunrise but when you stay up half the night reminiscing and laughing with your geobuddies a morning sleep in is best. Still while we were up in the wee small hours we did check out the stars on this remote Pacific island. With it being a full moon this week there weren't as many visible as on a moonless night. The cache was also a bit difficult to spot if you attacked it from the wrong angle. Get to the right spot and it was easy to see. TFTC # 6016
Thanks for placing this cache in this historically significant place. This day was special as I claimed my 1,000th find at the lookout. It was a wonderful morning with wonderful geocaching friends. I couldnt resist taking a tiny duck with the number 17 (being Goldberry 17) on it to remember this location. ??
Wow what an amzing bit of history, that I never knew about and finding GZ was another wow moment.
Day 3 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12093find.Thankyou TeamAstro for placing and maintaining this cache
A quick find on our way down the summit track to a chorus of grey warblers and golden whistlers. TFTC
I'm visiting Norfolk Island for the week with an extended family group and this was my first find here, assisted by my niece and nephew. We managed this one quickly (after a DNF at the previous cache along the trail). I thoroughly enjoyed the walk between Mt Pitt and Mt Bates and learning some of the history as well. Thanks, TeamAstro.
Continuing on along the track, we came to this one, which was logged before continuing.
Found 1/11 had to double back along the track to get this one. The more tired of the group not happy with the detour
A quick stop on the way to Mt Bates. The hint suddenly made sense! Thank you
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge This morning we attended church at St Barnabas, then wandered around the Botanic Garden. After that we drove up Mt Pitt and walked the Summit Track to Mt Bates. Our last 9 caches on the Island were gathered as we walked back and drove back down Mt Pitt Road.T-Tech was interested in the history up here. The clue had us wondering as we didn't see anything on our way up, but it made sense when we got to GZ. TFTC, TeamAstro.
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Todays cache collection is brought to you from the middle!!Today is the final stretch, after church at St Barnabas we headed up Mt Pitt to do the "Norfolk Island Power Trail Counting down 2 of 9 I once heard that the man who found that the aircraft radar that he worked on during the war that softened/melted boiled lollies in his pocket could be used to heat food, hence the microwave oven Nice easy find, cache is dry and in good condition [^]TFTC TeamAstro
Found with the Canberra group of Joolay, Contesta, Strange Trousers and iPlod on day 6 if our Norfolk Island adventure. Final group of caches to collect. Tftc
# 8983 Norfolk day 6 with the "Dem CBR" team of myself, iplod65, barb2e, Joolay and contesta.Today we tackled our last 3 geocaches on Norfolk with a walk over the summits of Mt Pitt and Mt Bates along the summit track. We quickly gathered these in on probably the best day weatherwise so far. All quick finds. Thanks TeamAstro for the Traditional Cache

8th find on my NI 2023 adventure! Had some winged company for this section of the walk. Tanks for the cache!
My wife and I spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

All part of a lovely walk today. Like other days, I would do outings with my wife in the morning and then while she was resting in the afternoon I would head off for geocaching and related adventures. A nice balance making for a delightful time on the Island.

A nice quick grab while walking between the peaks with Mrs. Gunnie. The legs were tightening up after doing the Bridle Track earlier in the day, so while the gentle gradient of the track was nice, the steps back up to Mt Pitt were not appreciated.
At GZ, an obvious hiding spot revealed itself and after moving in, the container was quickly in hand. I left my mark, returned the cache as found and had to get a wriggle on to catch up with Mrs. Gunnie who had not paused to entertain me while chasing this.
Cheers TeamAstro.

After a visit to the Botanical Gardens our adventure continued with a trip up to Mount Pitt and Bates stopping on the way to pick up this trail of caches. Enjoyed reading the descriptions of each of the caches which we found very interesting. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
This was very interesting information, particularly for Mr Squalid who is interested in Astronomy. A great cache, thanks.
Our travel party would have walked right by this spot if it weren't for the cache. Everything seems to be in order. Left a unicorn pencil. TFTC
Cool features. Thanks for showing us something we would have ordinarily walked past.
Miss Em found this one whilst out on a walk with the Bruce’s of Norfolk Island. We’re visiting from NZ FOR Christmas.
Being an ex RAAF radar and radio technician, I took a keen interest in this cache and the next one further up the Mt Bates. A long walk from the bottom of the hill. My knees are not liking me now.
Looking for a small walk while isolating from people. Wazza9 made a quick find, we stamped the log and replaced. Thanks to CO
TFTC,
Day 5 on the Island and we needed to make it an easy day after walking the Bridel track to the Cook Monument yesterday.
So much history hidden in the Bush, a great location.

On the 15 Day of October 2022 I was transported from the Mainland to Norfolk Island to serve 7 days in detention. On arrival at NI, I was transported by the Bounti bus to my prison quarters at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
After a morning escape the convicts headed for the high country.

Object soon spotted and made my way down for a straightforward find TFTC TeamAstro

After the event and dropping off mum and Oliver for their high tea, we hit the mountain slopes again, to finish off the remaining caches on Norfolk - sort of bittersweet really....
Continuing along the saddle, we found this after backtracking a little to find a way to it, an easy find once in the right spot. We dropped a TB.... TFTC!

Found this morning while on our mission to finish all the caches on Norfolk Island, after dropping Mum and Oliver back at our accomodation so they could go to high tea, we headed off towards the hills to finish it off. I can't really tell whether I'm happy that we're done or sad that there is nothing left for us to do...
After a short walk along the summit track, we arrived at GZ. After searching around a bit we read the hint, which at the time didn't help us. After looking around a bit we spotted what the hint was mentioning and quickly found the cache. Good coordinates and a cool little spot, cache is all dry too!

This afternoon we met up with Joojoo57 and Richmond Lad for a guided tour up Mt Pitt and Mt Bates with Endeavour3 as our guide. This is a beaut trail to follow.
Grateful for the good hint or we might not have found it. Fancy finding these relic toilet tanks here in the bush. We all signed the log and we were on our way again. This is such a nice walk.
Thank you for the fun we had this arvo.

Spending some of the afternoon caching up to Mt Pitt and thinking we might have to dodge showers but none eventuated until we were heading back to our accommodation.
Saw a variation in the vegetation as we ascended and kept a lookout for bird life but not a lot spotted.
Thanks for the cache.

It was an afternoon of caching after a relaxing morning. Decided to do the trail of caches up to the top of Mt Pitt. Stop and go as we found the caches along the way, signing the log books. Thanks endeavour3 for putting these caches out - an enjoyable time was had. TFTC endeavour3
