A straight forward find in a logical spot.
Our last caching day of in Mackay this trip, so we decided to have another look at a number of hides that had defeated us earlier in the week, as well as clean up a few more that we just hadn’t got to. Temingi has left us, but our week in Mackay has seen both of us tick off milestones. Temingi reached 14,000 finds, and we have broken through 13,000 finds. Not too bad an effort. Our only problem that as fast as we were catching Temingi, he was continuing to move away from us!
Thanks go out to the local CO’s for putting out all these caches for us to find. A mighty effort, and one we really appreciate. Without your contribution we would have no game to play.

On Our TL21 Caching Adventure Tour we headed out early to start our expedition. A quick easy find. TFTC
Another find for Dad. Was looking in the wrong area at first. Took a step back and the site was obvious. SL. TFTC.
Our first full day in Mackay. This is our first time here geocaching so it was great to be able to grab any cache as we passed them. Came accross several great hides and have given out many fav points. Wel done Mackay for great cache hides.

We were travelling from Moreton Bay to Townsville for a short holiday. Spent a nice time up here. Now we are in our way back home, stopping for caches suitable for a car with caravan behind.

Dropped in whilst out to lunch easy find saw it from where I parked.. Reckon the rain must have washed it out a bit as it was peeking quite obviously out! Stuck it back a bit more hidden away, good luck little cache! TFTC

After being unexpectedly stuck in town for two weeks today is our last day, woohoo (nothing against Mackay but when your plans are two weeks behind it will be good to finally continue from A to B)
Decided to grab a few caches instead of having a Nanna Nap this was one of them

Easy to find. Bag holding log jammed tight and ripped on extraction. Replaced with cache sized ziplock. TFTC
After an amazing three weeks away exploring Far North Queensland, it was time to make our way south and back home. Obviously, we made sure to stop regularly for a short break and to stretch our legs.
We managed to locate the cache easily enough and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.

After being involved with horses for nearly 50 years and having to attend our local races and prepare the clerk of the course horse we are pretty much over 'a day at the races'. But it's a different story now if there is a cache to be had there. This one was a quick find in the rain. Not a horse in sight though. Thanks.
After driving back from a family visit at dululu I've decided to grab a few caches on the way in. This one was a quick find, though considering the difficulty ive had with a few 3rs caches, I am almost disappointed i found it so quickly. Nive to finally know where the race course and eungella turn off is though.
On our way back to Darwin - spending a few days Exploring the Mackay area ... Soon had cache in hand - love a day at the races! T4TC:) #4045
After visiting a friend in Marian, I was in need of a smiley for today. I have after all decided to make a New Years Resolution to complete my calendar grid. (So far, so good!) Thanks for a nice easy one! This was my fourth attempt to earn a smiley in the area for today, so I was finally rewarded!
