DNF 831 overall and fifth of five today.
Thought I searched everywhere but with lots of people around maybe not.
Stilb given the number of DNFs maybe it could be checked.

Taking a walk around the lake with genghicat and stopped here for a quick cache. Genghicat has found it before but the location he had found before didn't match the cache hint. Didn't locate it unfortunately and got disturbed by muggles so did a clean up of the site instead. There was rubbish everywhere. I really am quite disgusted at some people.

After looking for this two or three times while it was lost, I had it on my watch list and of course had to head there as soon as I saw it was back online. So after getting home from work via the new OPH cache, it was onto the bike and away.
Plenty of muggles about when I arrived, but GZ was clear, so I parked the bike and started searching. And searching. And searching. A muggle took up a seat nearby. We smiled at each other and I kept (discreetly) searching. Eventually I gave up and started to leave. A quick glance back and there it was on the ground! I'm guessing that I must have dislodged it while feeling around - it should have been in place otherwise.
I then got to spend several minutes trying to get the log out. I really should carry a tool... I eventually succeeded. Not knowing where the cache had been placed I returned it to a spot that matched the hint. If the CO wants to get in touch and it is not right I can move it when I am next passing by, but it shouldn't affect anyone's ability to find it.
It's nice to have this one turned into a smiley. TFTC

I've tried this a few times now and I think I've checked every possiblity. I'm going to feel a bit silly when the next person finds it easily!
I stopped in here during a bike ride around the Pond. Actually I stopped in twice, but the first time there was a muggle (shock, horror). The second time around it was raining, so muggle-free. Which meant I had all the time in the world, but embarrassingly still couldn't find it.
My phone GPS was a bit off and there were a few options to match the hint, but I just couldn't figure out where it could be. Perhaps I over-thought it. Oh well, another time.

We had planned today a trip to Canberra to do some specific caches with Wilbert67 and the bounus was grabbing some extra once as well.
We had great weather leaving the rain behind us this morning, fun company made it a great day. TFTC

Set out to find a couple of caches today. A quick find, signed log and replaced. TFTC
F(H)ound It! #1979 - @ 5:45 PM
I approached GZ to find a couple of young lovers sitting on the wall watching the sun setting slowly over the lake. I followed the hint exactly which meant me and the Ridgeo-pup were sitting not 4 feet behind them and totally in their (very) personal space grinning benignly at them. They looked pointedly at each other - and I know they are thinking "if we just ignore her, she will go away". They did, which gave me a chance to make the grab, and I did (go away I mean). Poor loves Thanks for the cache Tig-grrr

Returned today and not a soul about so went straight to search and first place I put my hand and there was the cache! Not sure how I missed this last time but did help not having a constant stream of walkers going past today! Glad to have it found though, thanks for the cache Tig- rrr!
Out with dty73 for an early morning cache. The lifting fog made for some very artistic photos. Kutgw
Out with Youban on a very chilly morning. No one around and find made even quicker as the cache could be seen as I approached. Took much longer to replace the log back into the cache. Tftc!!!
Out and about with my besty, Happy Uke, again today. We were out to catch a whole swag of caches and brag about it to all and sundry.
We had been visiting friends in Canberra and were gradually treking our way north in the direction of home.
Thanks!

Finalf29 and I were on our way home today, but after such a late night catching up with friends...we didn't get going until midday. I had planned a northern raid of Canberra caches... but my tablet had other ideas... so a quick change of plans. Got twelve (we did waste a lot of time on a DNF) before it started to rain, so gave up and set off home. Really enjoyed the caches and company... we cache for fun not numbers. With so many caches we definitely will return soon.
This was our seventh for the arvo. Needed to give this a good search as we were tricked by what we thought was a broken cache container... found true one (should have trusted the hint) and threw fake one in the bin. Thanks

Friday- first day of a long weekend caching in Canberra. Ofcourse I have to get there first from Shellharbour, so a few caches on the way and then a few more at night time in Gungahlin where my first night will be. Thanks to all the cache owners!

Wow that took longer then it should have for me to find. My gps was slightly off. Muggles kept muggling me. Thanks for the cache. Found on a beautiful morning with the ducks.
Challenge: Get 50 different D/T combos in one day, just in the ACT. Day started before 5:30am and finished after 9:30pm, with 52 different D/Ts, 7 different cache types, completed by car, by bike, by kayak, by foot and even climbing trees. A long, but rewarding day, well supported by TikvaNZ, who also completed his 3rd DT loop.
This was #43 of 52. I will call out AngelG27, as my female cacher. She has been a great caching buddy for over a year. In fact, I solved one of her caches and in the process, struck up a conversation, leading to a catch-up with her and TikvaNZ in Braddon. That occasion was the first time I'd actually linked up with another cacher. And that is history, as they say.
I had to go back to the car for an extraction tool - one that TikvaNZ produced instantly. Signed, rolled up and returned. TFTC Tig-grrr

Thought we would have to abandon this one when we found a couple on a nearby bench. We eventually sat down, on late dusk (a pretty spot) and I put my fingers to the right, YUK, hit a big spider web Turned on my torch, shined it behind me and saw I had been leaning right near the legs of a red back spider then realised I could turn it to my advantage. With a big fuss, I went about seeing how many spiders were around, which allowed me to search for the cache without the couple getting suspicious. Once spotted it was retrieved easily then the challenge of getting the log out! Holy schmoley, took about 8 minutes to work the little devil loose Once signed it was back in its spot in a jiffy. Twas nice watching the swans as we walked back to the car, working off some of the delicious Italian fare from the restaurant across the road. TFTC
Tuesday 7 March 2017 - another beautiful Spring afternoon with lots of fluffy clouds in the sky and a light breeze to cool the sun's heat even though it was only 25 C. Nonna walked just over 1km with MuggleHusband as I found 4 from 4 caches. Quick find this time around as it helped having plenty of light. TFTC Tig-grrr.
Found by Mary & David at 1525. What a collection of coots here, plus a few ducks and black swans.. So relaxing to sit and watch their antics. As we approached from the car park, there were two young women sitting there. Thankfully they left as we arrived, and we could quickly locate the cache without being watched. Our thanks to Tig-grrr.
With a constant amount of muggles walking past, search was limited to the gaps, but after a bit of a look and reverting to clue no find for me today.
Sunday 19 February 2017 - a beautiful Summer's day in the mid 20s. Early evening went out for a short drive to find 2 from 4 caches. Searched high and low for long enough without luck for this cache. Maybe next time.
Thanks for the view. Had trouble getting the log out; took a picture instead. Merry Christmas
I had 3 hours to kill while the new Geomutt was getting groomed nearby so wandered down here for a quick find.

Found after the second time as a smooching couple happened to be sitting on the cache when we first got there, so we continued only to come back after an hr or two. Very small, fooled 'Survivors whose new to game and geokids. Tftc.
After over 6 hours of caching/hiking yesterday, we felt like something a little more sedate today - so went for a 5+ hour bike ride/run with The Woofer instead! We collected 31 caches (leaving something behind in almost every single one) and ran/rode just over 24km. We rode through Amaroo, Forde and Gungahlin, around Yerrabi Pond - and on two occasions dipping ourselves IN the pond! Exhausted and completely covered in duck poo, we finished the day with fish and chips by the lake in Yarralumla. And despite being confused for Poke-hunters more than once, it was great day!
A very easy find with the hint! We had no problems with muggles this morning since it was so foggy and nobody was about, but on a normal day it would probably be packed! TFTC Tig-grrr.

ACTchil and I went out to grab a couple of caches to get me to 1499 so I can find my 1500th on Wednesday 30th March, my birthday. We got to gz and there were a ouple of muggles sitting close by so we sat and waited a little while had a look where we thought it might be then I read the hint and what do you know there it was. Qickly signed the log and on our way to get 1499 cache. tftc Tig-grrr
Nice to finally find this one. About my forth attempt. Thanks for the journey out this way. TFTC. In regards to the extra thing asked for this cache. I would have to say WingedKat she is an old school friend who taught me caching mid last year after my mum passed away. All the timw out doors has been good therapy.
10:40am 2/1 - out for a scooter with the boys. They've played at the playground before but this was a good excuse for a treasure hunt.
Mrs Froggycache is our inspiration, her love of the outdoors encourages us to cache more.

Quick find at GZ. I wanted a cache starting with the letter 'O' so that I could complete the set of O, C, T, O, B, E, R, in order to qualify for the challenge cache Can You Spell October in October (GC5JEZX). This cache was the nearest unfound cache beginning with 'O'. So I walked down from Gungahlin shopping district, playing a bit of frogger in the peak-hour traffic.
I found some white space in the log and wrote my name and the date in very small, but still legible, letters.
Ths Tig-grrr!

Found with mr_roo on a lovely afternoon cache run. I thought I had found a cache here before?? Sneaky little hide - hope this one lasts. Thanks for the cache
Done about 3 caches here. This one I had kittykatch laying on the ground finding it TFTC
We had coffee over the road from GZ with our family, and the bro-in-law wanted to find this cache before we headed home. Unfortunately it was way too dark to read the plaques. We muddled around GZ for a while looking in some very dubious places, before I saw the cache neatly hidden, about where the clue suggests but hard to see. Thanks for a great hide, this must be a really nice place to walk when the sun is out.
After a DNF at a nearby multi, we were on the hunt for a cache so TikvaNZ could keep his mini streak going . I was a bit worried since that one was DNFd by Pacmania, but once at the right place, I put my hand right on it!
Thanks for the quick find Tig-rrrr - we needed one tonight!

On a caching excursion with AngelG27 to end a busy working week. After a nearby DNF on a multi, we came here. We initially thought this would be another DNF due to muggles, but just as we were about to leave they left. In no time at all AngelG27 laid her hands on the cache. TFTC.

We both swear we looked there (several times) last time we were here. Oh well, there it was! TFTC Tig-grrr.
The hint was a bit misleading, because if sitting where suggested, we couldn't reach this. Amazed we didn't find it last time, because be both think we looked there last visit. TFTC Tig-grrr.
Found @ 4:47pm and the last for the day
I seemed to be re-visiting many caching spots with today's run and this one was no different. This one should last longer than the previous as it's better hidden and less likely to be spotted.
Not a fan of the term "girls" but I AM a fan of Fore!'s puzzles as they take you back to school. It's shame she hasn't put many out lately.
Thanks Tig-grrr

Decided to get this one tonight as FFLL#2 was having her hair done at the hairdressers close by.
So we went for a quick wander before her appointment. This will be the third one we have done in this area now, but this one actually may last the distance.
Quick find at GZ before then going our separate ways. FFLL2 off to the hairdresser and FFLL1 off to do the animal clients.

A beautiful Canberra Autumns day just perfect for finding a few caches. Too hard for me and too many muggles around, will return.
Found it while having my birthday dinner at the Italian place about 40m away called "Da Nunzio".
(Which is very nice, recommend it)
Found in the pitch black with my phone light, only took about 3 - 5 mins. Dodging the countless spiders was difficult though....
Thanks!

At long last the end of the end of the week rolled round and I was able to get out for a cache or two. This spot has a bit of a poor history for caching, so I hope this one survives. It sure had me looking for a bit before I put my hand in the right spot.
Thanks.

So so pleased that you didn't use the garden......as all the other caches I've found here (3 at least) have simply not lasted. This one is in a good spot and should last the distance.
Out this side of town to clean up a few newer caches and with the weather getting better, it was nice to sit for few minutes and take the load off.
Thanks Tig-grrr......like it, enjoyed the area again, favourite point for the experience.

A cold & windy day makes for good muggle free conditions. I've been meaning to get back to Forde to grab the last few caches there, but muggles have always been an issue. Today, I had the place to myself. Seeing recent finds against this cache made me return to try a bit harder. It still took a while as this is a tiny, tiny cache. I was much relieved to finally sign the log.
As for the girls, I think anyone who starts their caching in Gungahlin will be familiar with two of the local, very dedicated cachers who go by the names of SpecimenX & RapidlyWild. They have provided many excellent caches and puzzles, sometimes too good for me. Cheers girls.

Found one and half caches here. Quick find and out since it is very windy and cold. Thumbs up for all the girl cachers out there. You do wonderful jobs on creative puzzles and hides. TFTC Tig-grrr.
Had a bit of a look around on a bike ride with the kids but no luck.will try again another day.
Tonight I had better luck. The first time I just could not find it. The second time there were muggles who would just not move on. Tonight I had the place to myself - if you don't count the countless spiders - and I found the cache.
Nice quick find in a lovely location. Some people feeding the swans nearby. This is the third cache I have found here. Hopefully it was last a little longer. The hide is pretty good though, so should be OK. Thanks TG.
I had the place more or less to myself at lunchtime so I sat & contemplated while munching away. Poked my hands in all sorts of places, finding innumerable spider webs and a Munzee but no cache. Tks anyway.
I was talking with Tig about the entertainment people were having with this cache.
While she is away, I put a little black nano where the original cache was.

4031. Another cache with Tanso while out for a bit of caching on a lovely Friday afternoon. It wasn't long before Tanso spotted the hide although she was very reluctant to do anything but look at it. Yes there does appear to be something missing.
Thanks for the cache.

Half day at work, in preparation for packing the geomobile for the trek to the sunny Gold Coast for the Oz Mega.
I wanted a nice quick find today close to home as I have a fair bit to do this afternoon. I decided this one would be a good one to give a crack at. Parked up nearby and wandered over towards the cache. There were a few muggles around however I was able to remain stealth and locate the cache without issues.
Once locating it, I noticed there was only half the cache container within, is that how its supposed to be? This leaves the log exposed to the elements and will result in a wet log after some rain.
Log signed and cache replaced. Thanks for the cache placement Tig-grrr, im glad ive found one of these before!

As reported by the last two posters, this one appears to need a bit of TLC. A pity, as it is a pretty unique container. TFTC Tig-grrr
I don't appear to have much luck with caches hidden here. I had what I think was a really good look. Reading previous logs made me wonder about the condition of the cache. So I will go somewhere else for a find tonight.
After sorting things out at home to get things ready for my trip to QLD and the Mega, I needed a cache nearby to keep the good 'ol streak going.
I had no problems with muggles when I visited as it was nightime-so all the walkers, joggers and kids had gone home and I didn't even need to take a seat and chew things over!!!
Nice easy find at GZ but contrary to others logs I found the cache and it's camo how it should be. Although I did notice the top half of the cache does not screw together easily. Maybe this is the reason the top and bottom halves keep falling apart? CO may want to consider a new inner container.
Anyway, a fun cache thanks, Tig-grrr

Bit of déjà vu for us tonight, this hide was more suited to the location...luckily we had the area to ourselves this evening and it wasn't long before the sticky hide was discovered. Log extraction was tricky but we found an object that assisted greatly! The thread seems a little short and we did our best to keep it together.
There are many great female caches in our region, have to agree with your submission with Fore!. Her puzzles encourage scientific curiosity and learning and her cache hides are always interesting. Some of our favourite caches have been from Fore! (Especially those well constructed puzzles) ! Tealby has also been a very friendly and her passion for the hobby and organisation of things like the WWFMs have made our caching experience very enjoyable.
Thanks for the cache placement and concept Tig-grrr
