This morning we set off early to tackle the ALs and caches in Sydney park, then of course stop off at the playground for the kids. What a lovely spot, Ive driven past here hundreds of times but never knew how good this park was. The cache nearly had me, very clever camo. Deserves a FP! TFTC
Found this one after some time bush bashing. Love the way it was hidden!
Four ladies from Sweden (Tigertassen, ursus67, Lnganfans, pidjas) are visiting Australia. This day we took a long walk, more than 20 km. We mostly log as TULP.This was one of the places we visited. A big thank you to the CO for this cache.
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand .On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland
We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found A fp of course Thanks from Sweden
Four Swedish ladies walking around in Sydney looking for caches. We found this and we log as TULP. Thank you for this one.
Too good for me today, but I didn't have the best look as I was in my Sunday best.... I'm pretty sure it is still there, I just was not equipped to find it. TFTC!
Fun cache to spot. Took a bit to find, but once your eyes glance over it, you'll know you've found it. TFTC! Found with Cat.
Didnt find it looked around quite a bit . The log . Turned over a log . Disturbed bugs living under it .looked around the base of the tree . Watch out for swooping birds actually.
Tftc. Had to venture bit away from GZ to make the find. Was obvious it was the cache once spotted. Found with red_ear_slider
After dropping off geospouse for her interstate leisure week (oh yes, shell do some geocaching over there), lets grab a cache or two. Sydney Park is one of many geo-favourites in Sydney. This did take more than ten minutes. Widened by this much. A surprise to see how well it is hidden in plain sight. TFTC Nana Nel. A favourite point for this and the greeny oasis reflecting the Spaids community
Completed a maintenance check today, there are two fences, but they do not infer in getting to GZ.
The GZ is completely fenced off - no idea how the last person got in and found it.
Couldnt get close due to a fence being built and caution tape roping off the area.
I'd just walked here doing the adventure lab question and was pondering which direction to go next.....then I remembered to check the geomap and saw this cache was here as well! So off I went into the gardens. It took some time. Around and around I went, discarding off in the middle distance what my eyes immediately saw but dismissed.Eventually I stalked over to check it out and was soon signing the logbook.Clever container. Thanks Nana nel for hiding a cache in the shrubbery in such a way as to become practically invisible.
I decided to explore the park before heading towards the Canberra mega. Took a while to locate, what a cool hide! TFTC!!
Ha ha. Obvious indeed. 10m off but that didn't matter if you saw it you saw it.Very clever.Lovely park. Great tribute. Lost a few friends myself.TFTC
TFTCOut and about in Sydney. Have been visiting this wonderful country from Canada for the last month.Had a great time, but unfortunately today is our last day and decided to get one last cache on the way to the airport.
Well that took longer than expected. Even had to phone the CO. I was 1m away and nothing, had to expand my search. Thanks Nana Nel.
I am from Switzerland...and we travel all states and Terrotories of Australia .We do housesitting all over the world and travel afterwards. Its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching Nggi2 and I decided today and to make out of green ones Smilies in ST Peters...we took the train fom Rockdale .. Well I can honestly say I have never found a cache like that before. Searched around in the wrong area for a while but then I read through some past logs and found where I needed to be. Was still a little unsure at first but it was the cache. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
No find today. Checked log, Water outlet, papery tree , dead tree, backyard tree, multi trunk tree but nowhere.
Had a really good look for this one. No, luck today, the spirits weren't with us this Halloween. But we did see a really cute possum with a baby on its back worth coming for that.
A quick visit to Sydney for a concert at the Enmore Theatre, have to do some caching in my spare time. TFTC
# 8883 iPlod65 and I are in Sydney for the Sydney Marathon on Sunday. Good to be able grab a few caches along the way.
This was fun.
Thanks Nana Nel

Easy find after a previous DNF. I think I was luckier in what direction I came from this time. TFTC

It was an early start to the morning that saw Tankengine, dty73 and myself on the trip to Sydney to meet up with Kittykatch and Joolay by 10am. We had a weekend of a few targeted caches, with the important ones ticked off we spent a fun and leisurely afternoon in Sydney Park for the ALs and caches there, a lovely park.
After a few hours of walking we stretched ourselves for an afternoon at hijinxs. Sure was a lot of fun, but also a lot of effort involved, but a great team and we did good! We earnt the amazing dinner at the Yummy Seafood restaurant in Challora (it was by far the BEST chinese!) it was off for a well earnt sleep, with the unexpected nighttime adventure of the full hotels smoke alarm going off through the night... yay, lets evacuate!
This cache: Very much in plain sight! A nice park to explore.

Well that was unexpected but cool to get this. Quite a different type of container. Lovely walk around the park.
Up in Sydney for the weekend with Aquilus1, Kittykatch, dty73 and Tankengine.
Thanks for getting me out and about Nana Nel

Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 Aquilus1 Kittykatch and Joolay on a quick trip to Sydney! Interesting find! Thanks Nana Nel!
Wow what a day! It started early at 6:15am when we hit the road for Sydney.
Tankengine, Aquilus1 and I were up and ready for a full day. We met up with Kittykatch and Joolay at 10am and cached until we had to get to HiJinx Hotel for some more fun. Perhaps we were a little ambitious as we did a lot of walking and caching then ended at HiJinx where we did 15 rooms (all pretty physical)! We ended the night at Yummy Seafood Chinese restaurant near our hotel at the Arena Hotel in Chullora - Best Chinese ever!!!
This cache: Well that’s not what I was expecting. Wasn’t sure if it was actually a cache or someone’s doggy stash. Tftc!!!

Well that took a little longer than what I thought. Cache all good. TFTC N.ana Nel.
For future geocachers I recommend broadening your search 10 extra meters from geo zone.
Was sure I wasn’t going to find this one as the sun had set within 5 mins of me searching making it really hard to see. Started to walk back to car and there it was looking straight at me. I also added a pencil.

Took a bit to narrow this one down but once we got to the spot well it was fairly obvious- but took a few minutes to get there. TFTC!
With one son working in Sydney and the other up from his job in Melbourne it was the perfect opportunity to pop down to Sydney for a mid year visit and to pick up a few caches in between, brunches and dinners out.
Arrived at ground zero and quickly locked in to the hiding spot. With the coast free I extracted the cache and made my mark on the log and quickly returned it to its hiding place before muggles appeared.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Back visiting Sydney for a few days. While waiting for our friends to pick us up, we had some time to walk around part of Sydney Park for the AL and this trad. Took a few minutes to find but happy to spot this unusual cache. Tftc
Well it was getting dark and just using my cellphone I had a few minutes to check things near GZ. Maybe the hint confused me but I couldn't apot anything. Will be back.
Popped down to Sydney Park for a few caches. After a dnf at the wetlands I was doing the adventure lab cache and saw this one nearby which had me scratching my head for a while until I spotted the unconventional container..thanks.
Certainly not what I was expecting

Even with spoilers this wasn’t easy. My GPS was playing tricks. One bloke sprinting the hill and another followed by ibis. Different spot!
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Nana Nel, I found Spaids 11 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
