**20,752**Overshot this one initially and had to make a u-turn to return to GZ guessed what the hint meant but still took a little while to locate the well-concealed cache. Nice to have a place to sit and sign the log. TFTC
Didnt take too long. Brought a friend for his first find. Hes excited to do more
After a DNF back in 2016, we were back in the area today and were determined to make a find. Thankfully, with a very systematic search it didn't take forever. Happy to turn the blue face into a yellow smiley here. Very tricky.
First thought it was going to be a major search but ended up being quickly found from the right angle. Shelter looks like a little party house with all the cans inside it. Tftc anyway.
We've looked for this a couple of times in the past, although the first time we had the geohound with us and he was more interested in a dead pigeon, and the second time it was summer and the shelter was full of bin bags so you can imagine the stench.
Today we were up in Silverdale and had a bit of time to kill so spurred on by a couple of recent finds here we decided to detour here. There was a lot of rubbish in the shelter (and spiders and cobwebs) but it didn't take long to find the cache. It took longer to get the log out (I had taken the tweezers back out of my bag last week).

Lucky find after a 5 minute scan of the GZ. I was ready for the long haul after reading the logs, but a hand in the right place turned up the cache. No trouble extracting the log for the sign.
Wubbarray (dolphin) is my Worimi aboriginal totem so this find was ment to be.

I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

It was our last cache for today and we ended up empty handed. Myself and lumin298 had a problem to locate amongst large size spiderwebs and so on. It does not mean it is gone be we did not find it. Thanks anyway.
Same with tramyard's log... we didn't find it, but I did find a big bucket of rubbish in the shelter (next to a No Dumping sign on the outside) which I sent a report in for, so hope it's a bit cleaner for whoever comes to look for the cache next.
Noticed that this one had been replaced, so on my way home from an HCMC Autocross at Bayer's Farm, I stopped off to find this one. Started in the wrong corner or went the wrong direction, but did find it where I thought it would be. Thanks for the cache maintenance.
Just under 4 years since my last attempt and glad it's been replaced, though the original dolphin artwork has long since swam away.
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

Somehow it had gone missing. Replaced with the same container in the same location
On my way back from the HCMC Xmas Autocross, so stopped for another look as I was passing, but no better than last time.
Stopped off here on my way home from the HCMC Xmas Autocross, but I was not able to find it.
That is one tough cache. Just didn't have enough time available today do it justice (well actually I had too many easier ones to find up the road). Spent 5-10 mins probing every crevice I could find without any luck. Do have a poor hit rate on old bus shelter caches. Another time it seems.
Well what a great Christmas New Years we have had so far it all started off in Friendly Feilding have Christmas lunch with the family then next day Boxing day off to Danniverke for a weeks holiday together so special first holiday with the Grandson hes only 7 months old, then we didn't know what or where to go next so ended up going to Napier and then across the Napier Taupo road got a cache and a trackable, not easy to stop all the time with a large caravan on the back. We finally got to taupo and said where to now so we kept going and then we got a text message some plans next week had been transferred to the end of January so we could go away for an extra week. We ended up in Walton Gold course for two nights to finish off the Kiwi and another puzzle series got 46 caches in total some were traditionals as well, got that sorted and then headed off today decided we would do the Route 66 trail and Smilie trail so we ended up in Oawera so we are here for a few nights. We arrived early had some lunch then it was lets go get some caches this was the first cache of the day after a quick look around I looked at the hint again and light bulb moment happened and it ended up being a quick find here. Thank you for the cache we signed the log and placed it back as we found it. cache was all good here today. a lovely area to cache in. we started caching at 1.05pm and finished for the day at 4.30pm with 35 caches found. A great day thank you to all the cache owners in the area. TFTC
Trickiest find of the day. Spent an age here without luck. Moved on to another cache & TAF to see if we could get a nudge. Thankfully got a good hint, so returned back for another go & finally earned a smiley. TFTC
Oh my word what a time we had with this cache. The inside of the bus stop was clean by the time we had finished and needless to say we were filthy. Made a PAF and came up with some useful information which helped make a quick find. Unbelievable1 T4tc
Today we made some caches of the Route 66. in addition we found some traditional Caches on our way. This was a highlight because it took us a long time til we found the prize but we did it thanks for the cache!
Boom!
Its a tricky wee thing - thankfully its now on my found list.
TFTC I think

The only reason I go to events is to troll for hints on caches I DNF'ed. I forget who was kind enough to help, but thanks to them, I was able to focus my attention to a smaller area and eventually found the cache. This cache is pretty tiny for such a location. TFTC.
I looked pretty good, somewhere between a 'Man Look' and a 'Merlot Scour', but still no cache. It's probably there, but I need more help.
Another dnf for us. Too many muggles driving past and a dead morepork inside put is off trying too hard.
No problems here, the cache is still in place and ready for your visit....will up the D rating
The main mission of this trip was to clear up a few previous DNF's or DNL's due to muggles, and here I am adding to the list straight away. Felt I had a pretty good look.
DNF for us after a brief search as we were already late for dinner. The place is infested with cicadas.
Got very lucky finding this one quickly. Took longer to get the log out of the cache because we forgot our tweezers full stop tftc
Absolutely no idea where this one is located. Searched more than 20 minutes with three sets of eyeballs to no avail. DNF.
Love this cache KirsTim! It's been on my watchlist since I found it, it has almost as many DNF's as smileys! A tricky little bugger to find alright.
Looked all over then it must have dislodged itself as we found it on the ground. Put it back where we thought the its hidey hole was. Michaelteacher has a photo of the cache if CO wants to check. Tftc
So... we think we found this one. After lots of searching we discovered a container that matched the description of the cache and it had a paper inside. After we managed to get it out (we had no tweezers but managed with an umbrella) wet discovered it was blank. We still signed it and put it back in a spot that made sense. We have a picture of the cache.
Always interesting trying to find your own cache. Found after looking in the a few places and put back where it should be. Shame the caches namesake has been removed
While we were searching a young girl pulled up on a ATV and stopped across from us and proceeded to make a phone call. Meanwhile I had dislodged the cache with my searching fingers and thankfully saw where it landed. I can see why this could be a difficult find!
Merlot58, Aiden29 and ourselves returned to the sunny Orewa to collect some new caches that had been published since the last time we had been up here. As MrJag50 sat tin the car the ladies hunted for the cache. Some blonde haired girl turns up in an ATV muddy to heck but in her fluffy trim pink jacket and fluffy trim ugg boots, watching but not understanding what was going on. Another Weird one.
Running out of light and I finally spotted it, it had been dislodged from its hidey-hole and was hanging in a cobweb, I probably did it -;)
Phew, glad to finally nab it, Thanks Alan and KirsTim
All ok

Hitting Route 66 today and an early start too. Brain not woken up yet and despite checking a few combos, even using the torch to help there was no find here for me
Out and about for a couple of hours of cache detection today; nice weather for it. This was my first stop. I parked up next to the structure and got to searching. It was soon clear that I was in the correct spot, but was in for a serious search. I got a little fixated and didn't give the hint rightful consideration. This meant a lot of fruitless searching. After much looking I resorted to the PAF option. Yep, I was fixated in the wrong area and with a nudge in the right direction I was able to restart my search with renewed vigour. Even then, I missed the hide on a pass or two before finally getting the tiny blighted in hand. A good way to start the caching day. Cheers for the cache placement!
Seeing recent finds, I was inspired to have another look after work today
Talking of inspired, the cache title is brilliant. Gets a fav from me

Out completing Route 66 with Urbangypsynz and Supernannny, who had this on the top of her to find list. Supernannny had been here a couple of times with no luck locating the cache. We had a hint from a previous finder, but we still gave the structure a thorough search. I knew what the hint hinted at, and it wasn't until I took a different perspective did I managed to feel the sneaky cache. So glad to get this one, with very few finds.
Out caching with Aiden29 and Suppernanny we stopped at this cool old structure, interesting to see a poster inside and a couple of DNF logs. Aiden29 saved the day and made the find.
Very pleased to tick this one off my list !
Was out with Urbangypsynz and Aiden29 doing Route 22 and luckily we found ourselves close to this !
Have been here 3 times before with no joy.....
Aiden29 very quickly found this elusive creature !!!
Yay!!!!!
Evil!

Very cool abandoned structure here ! Ideal choice for a cache to hide ! Too tricky for me today , just on dark too ....will be back....
DNF with harisree
We searched and searched and searched to no avail.
Some people even started asking questions to us on what we are doing there, worrying about that we might be dumping rubbish

We have previously looked for this cache without success, but decided to give it another try tonight. Had a thorough re-check of everywhere we had looked before, and it was starting to look like we would have the same result. Then one of us looked in a completely different direction and spotted the cache. Very sneaky. Thanks.
This one had us hunting. Finally the eagle eyes of Mrs ToT found it. 50 years ago this was the bus stop I caught the school bus at. TFTC
2 pairs of eye ( well 4 as i had my goggles on) looking hard, but not hard enough it seems....
Visiting family in the area, thought I'd have a go at this one, no luck. Bring my microscope next time.
OMG! So many places to search for such a tiny object, luckily I'm a patient man and after a careful search with my head torch I looked a little higher as per the hint and found the sneaky little thing. I see now where the title came from. Excellent work and very devious.
Took a few minutes but got there in the end! Must have passed this one so many times but the timing was just right to stop and get it today..And I'm glad I did! Have a favorite point!
Had to go into Silverdale so thought we would drive a little further and pick this one up. Trying to clean up our closest to home so this was on the hit list today. Nice little spot for a cache and the name made sense after visiting the area. Nicely hidden but a surprisingly quick find. Thanks
Kiwiscot19 FTF - Tuesday 24 March 2015 09:30am
Surprised to find that the FTF had not been claimed yet 30 hours after being published. Decided on a quick trip up the road after the morning rush had cleared on the off chance that it was still available. Had visions of this hide being as difficult as our current nemesis 'Two Little Ducks' (we must message the CO for an extra hint). Once at gz I immediately understood the clue and the cache was promptly in my fingers. Ended up having more trouble extracting the log with tweezers than locating the cache.
Our 2nd FTF. Also KirsTim were the FTF our very first Geocache hide 'Te Kopuke ( Mount Saint John )'. What goes around comes around. TFTC
Just on a side note: Boult has just got a second wicket. Yes!!!! Go you Black Caps - Kiwi
