Haven't been to Ballarat for a while, so took the opportunity to attend a CITO at Napoleons to venture back. What does one do after a CITO? Cache of course! A quick find after a short wander to the location. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for creating for us all to enjoy. Cache in good condition --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. Find as many of these amazing caches as you can before voting opens later in the year. The full list of nominations is available on the [Geocaching Victoria website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/).
Another ausmer month off the list, has been a productive dayMay the fourth be with you
TFTC. Setting up camp for a week in Murray Bridge before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Moving to Ballarat for another week afterwards. Last hurrah travelling before wooding season at home starts!Happy caching and safe travels!
Spent a good 15 minutes searching and increased our search radius but to no avail. At home now and reading more of the previous logs it appears that GZ is somewhat south of the published co-ords. We were more focused north. Oh well, we'll try again on our next visit to Ballarat.
Am in the Ballarat area to have a go at the Ballarat GeoTour. Finding this one was a bit of a distraction BUT I couldn't drive past and not have a go at finding it - it was just a bit too close to ignore. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for setting up and maintaining the Symbol Series.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me today on my great caching adventures.
Heading out to the Castle event and dropped here for a few extra finds. Parked down the road and took the stroll back to GZ where the cache was found after a short-ish search. Log signed and I was on my way.
Thanks for another one Ballarat Geocachers...

Have to come back to this. Grass is a bit long and I’m scared of finding a snake.
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz TFTC BallaratGeocachers
I love that I get to come to the Ballarat region for work. It means I'm in the car, listening to my favourite podcasts and getting a cache or 2 (or more :p).
This took me way longer than it should have done!! I felt like I turned over every leaf/bark in the area. Happy to walk away with thye smiley face.
Thank you

A quick find while in town for orthodontist and mother-in-law duties.

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.
Thanks BallaratGeocachers for the cache.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache BallaratGeocachers.

Bit south of its spot, took a minute to find and had to carry the pug in but hidden ok
We found we were traveling the wrong way to collect these caches so we drove up the road and headed back in the opposite direction. SL TFTC
Heading to meet up,with a friend for lunch beside Lake Wendouree. As it was going to be a hot day began a bit early and had time to grab a few caches. Unpacked my little scooter and off along a short section of this trail. An enjoyable bit of exercise and a cache here Thanks allaratGeocachers
Went looking for this in the dark, just to make things more interesting! Well we didn't plan it that way but it was more challenging. TFTC
I picked this cache up at 1:07pm.
I had done a few of the caches in this series way back in January 2017, and since I was in the area today, and wanted a walk, I decided to find a few more. Hitting my stride now, this was another cache that was found on my little stroll. I was able to follow the little path to the cache
Thanks for the cache and the series BallaratGeocachers.

Our last day in Ballarat we decided to try to finish up this Symbol series. But unfortunately that was not to be.

With a target to finish the Symbol Series (or what remains of it), we were hoping for a full set of smilies. Unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Another straight forward find in this series. Swaps are a bit lacking, but cache is in good condition.

On our way home from an event in Ballarat this morning. We were looking for a way that wasn't along the main highway and this was our choice. Nice little series that would have been better approached from the opposite direction. Found all we looked for except one. Thanks for the placing of this series and bringing us to an area that we hadn't, until now, visited.
Grabbed this whilst out on a trip today with SnapHappy and Woz for the drive. Caching today on the #roadto100

Found today as we were enjoying the winter sunshine finding a few caches around Buninyong and Mt Helen. All but one were soon found and signed. Thank you for the series along this path, which has been beckoning for a long time and, as of today, will be a line of smiles!
This area was a little trickier for parking. Is was easier for us to find a spot up the road and double back. A quick find today. TFTC
Find #3395. Found @ 16:51 with The Good Lady Wife.
We're in Ballarat to help the in-law's out on a holiday. The bribery to get me on board with this plan was some caching.
Leaving the kids at the accommodation, The Good Lady Wife and I went for a combination of caching and getting steps. Parking nearby and the doing every other cache on the way out, and the remainder on the way back. No problems with this one, although it was not where I guessed it would be on the way out from the car.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache BallaratGeocachers

A day in Ballarat, attending a CITO at Warrenheip Creek and afternoon tea at Eureka. With caches being archived rapidly along the 'Symbol' Series, we took this good opportunity to head down and pick up the caches that are left. Snap parked whilst I jumped and grabbed the caches I could along the trail. Thanks for the cache, and the series BallaratGeocachers.

Find #1572 for me. Found at 3:35 pm. After finding a couple of other local caches I decided to grab a few more in this series but only had time for 3 today. Nothing like spreading out the fun! Once at GZ it didn't take too long to find the container and all was in good condition. This was also my last cache find for 2017. Thanks for the cache and the series BallaratGeocachers!
I braced meself for another tricky cache find here [:o]
(Turned out to be an easy one for a change)
I rode on to the next cache
