A nice easy find with the eldest heir. Could use a new log book on the next maintenance trip. Other that than an nice spot to visit. TFTC BallaratGeocachers.
Today I headed to Ballarat to attend the Yarrowee River CITO, with the expectation to do some caching afterwards. After the CITO I headed to try to finish the Symbol Series, then cached my way towards home. Found this one with out any trouble.
My thanks to BallaratGeocachers for the cache.

Quick find thanks to the hint but having the yapping dog behind the fence left me feeling very exposed. Tftc Just the same.
TFTC Ballarat Geocachers. Walked straight up to it thanks to the great hint. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Found with Jimmytherat nice spot for a cheeky little cache. Thanks Ballarat GC's
Great hint!
Great hint!
Dropped geohubby off at an earlier cache and then picked him up at this one. TFTC
With a 10.30pm start in Geelong we started this series just after midnight. We parked the car and made the quick walk to the 2 caches in this area. quick finds which was luckly for us!
after discovering roads on the maps that arent there we made the trek to this one from the closet road and with dogs barking at this hour of the night we still found it lol

Staying near Buninyong for a few nights during the school holidays. Found this series as a good excuse to give the dog a walk!
I'm trying to do a "100 caches in a day" challenge. This was find #35. Thanks heaps, BallaratGeocachers!
I was Out doing some cache maintance on one of my own caches and thought I would rab a few finds along the way
One of our targets for this visit to the Ballarat area was the Symbol Series. Reasonably accurate coordinates and a likely location for a hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for the cache and the series.
Found on a caching trip to Ballarat with Freddo and Team Waldron, after finishing the BSRT trail we decided to drive around and grab a few more caches, we found the embankment greater than the road in places : ) TFTC
Heading over to Ballarat for a caching weekend and picking up a few caches on the way.
We managed to find about 230 caches in 3 days not bad work for 3 old guys
Another series of caches in Ballarat that boosted the numbers.
We weren't sure how we would be able to get to these but we mangaged most by car with just a couple of shortish walks.
Thanks for an excellent series.

Out caching with my family on the bikes what a lovely night to go on an adventure. Geokids were competing to find it first...
Today Dunko and I headed to Ballarat with the intention of reaching and passing 9000 finds,
our mile stone was met what a great day of caching fun we had with 69 terrific caches found during our travels many thanks to BallaratGeocachers for the effort and placement of this cache. TNLN SL

Set off today with my caching buddy Slink1 to try and reach a mile stone number (9000) and I am pleased to say that we made that number and a few past (to be sure we counted correctly!). This cache was found as part of our effort to reach our milestone and my thanks go to BallaratGeocachers for the placement and maintenance of this cache. We had a lot of fun and some laughs along the way.

1:51:00 PM. We decided to get out and pick up a few caches today as it was going to get warm. Walked from the previous cache and found it. Took a bit to extract but in the end it was out and log signed. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache.

Quick find while enjoying a walk around Bunninyong. Cache in good order.

We were in Ballarat this morning as my sister and I competed in a triathlon. Afterwards we did some shopping then ditched Dad and eldest sister at the movies while becca85/Mum, boo09 and I did some caching including part of the Symbol series. Back for the rest another day. TFTC
An arvo caching with neisha07 & becca85 after some shopping.

In Ballarat for a Triathlon for the kids, husband decided he wanted t check out the new Zoolander. I had no interest but was very happy to drop him off and do some caching!
Dumped him and the eldest Geo-child off and neisha07, boo09 and I headed out to Buninyong to get some of this series. We started at Buninyong and did as many as we could before we got the call to pick up from the cinema. Will be back for the rest sometime soon.

We made the drive over to Ballarat with the main purpose of completing the Symbol Series of caches. To make it easier logistically, we were advised to start at Buninyong so we kept all the caches on the left of the road in case we decided to stop with the car at any close ones.
The dogs were barking as we walked along the path here, the hint helped once again, so a quick find before leaving town to head to Mt Helen.

Find No. 1227. Found with FUF009 at 2.35pm.
Headed down to Ballarat to do two main things for the day - (1) the walk underneath Ballarat organised by Doug that attracted 27 cachers, and (2) head to Buninyong to see the Road Nationals Men's Cycle Race. Walking around the course we noticed a few cache hides we thought of getting in between laps., and this was one of them.
Coming down the hill from our first find we made a slight detour around the back to locate the next two.
A quick find.

Find # 2764 @ 1435 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
We had heard about the walk underneath Ballarat being organised to grab the Letterbox cache and the others along the way.
Tyred n Cranky and I all decided that we could join in the Caching Walk and then in the arvo go and catch the Road Cycling Nationals in Buninyong, Elite Men race.
After watching a few laps of the race we decided to go for a walk along the race circuit and grab a few caches close by.
With no prying muggle eyes on the back track this one was quickly found.

Found during a stop-over in Ballarat on our way to Melbourne for the week. Thanks for the cache BallaratGeocachers!
Day 2 camped at Creswick with Alansee and Team Crackers, we headed out to grab some caches.
We found a mixture of bike trails, walks and drive by's, which made a fun day.
Most caches were found after a short search, some a little trickier.
Many thanks for placing this series of caches, BallaratGeocachers, for us and others to find.

After visiting Mt Buninyong we decided to collect a few smilies as we headed back to Ballarat. Pity we didn't have time to walk the trail. Thanks for this series.
step up I did and made an easy find, as I was signing the log a couple of muggles walked past and I am sure they are still scratching their head as to why I was standing where I was. TFTC
We are on a road trip to attend "The Melbourne Event" Mega, taking our time to get there and on the return journey. Fortunately, there were lots of caches along the way to tempt us to stop for a while to smell the roses. This was one of those caches.
We had made our way to Ballarat to attend the GIFF Event and to spend a few days in the area before heading off to Melbourne. We decided we would complete this series of caches while in the area. All were found with little difficulty and we managed to collect all the clues required for the final puzzle.
Thank you BallaratGeocachers for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

This was a very straightforward find. Just as well as the drizzle decided to morph into rain TFTC BallaratGeocachers
Our third find in the series on a weekend away with Morcs4. We were getting the hang of these by this stage, although the whinging from the kids in the back of the car was pretty bad. Stiff chips. We were mums on the rampage and were caching. Thanks BallaratGeocachers.
After travelling here from other side of Melbourne with Vanessa&Aodh (for an overnight visit nearby and dedicated caching time), we excited to be doing this Symbol Series. The weather was drizzly so we used the car to jump between some on the caches. TFTC
It was a case of a quick manoeuvre and I soon had the container in my hands.
Thanks to Ballarat Geocachers for bringing me to this location and for placing the cache.

Out on a lovely sunny day caching with Stashaa. A great series along the trail. TFTC BallaratGeocachers.
After the first attempt at this one we had to resort back to Kenare georig for a retrieval tool. Second time a charm with a tool tftc
Well this was a doozy!! The cache had fallen further in than what we thought it should have been and it was also upside down so none of us could grasp it. We had to leave this one until we had our super strong geo tools. After lunch (chilli pie from bakehouse is good!) we headed back here to extract the cache!! I've replaced it not so far down
Day out caching with kazzacosmo thought we tackle this series between showers.TFTC
I was in Ballarat on a cold, wet day and decided to do this series, which I managed to complete, including the Final Puzzle. This was another cache found neatly hidden away and in good order. TFTC Ballarat Geocachers.

The final day to log cache finds to qualify for The Geocaching Road Trip ’15 souvenir. It is also the second day of spring in Australia – well somehow Ballarat missed the change as it is very wintery today. On our way to the Road Trip Finale Dinner Event we stopped in Mt Helen to seek out some of the symbols along the trail. This is one of the neatly concealed caches, all with fresh dry logs, we found as we rode our bikes along the trail. Our ride was cut short by what felt very much like snow sprinkling down from above.
Our thanks to BallaratGeocachers for bringing us here.

Another great find. In this series. We're starting to really enjoy this trail of caches. Quite a few walkers around today but no bother to us.

Day 2 at Smythesdale we headed out to find some of the local caches in town. We started with the Symbol Series Plus a few bonus caches.
This was a nice series to walk, the weather being a little kind meaning it wasn't raining but very cold.
Thanks for placing this cache Shamus1

We woke up to a sunny day, that lasted at least a half an hour, but even when we walked outside, it wasn't as cold as yesterday - ahh, Ballarat weather!
Bettyboo3747 and I spent the day in Ballarat and collected a Whereigo, multis, a few trads, a few mysteries, and some challenges, had a lovely lunch, and got back before the rain set in - not a bad day in all.
The path had crossed to the right side of the creek by the time we got to this cache
We then realised that the series was along a bike trail, so we stopped doing them until we can come back with our bikes. To be continued!
Thanks, Robmc.

# 8602. Day 2 in the Ballarat area for Robmc and me. Started with a DNF and added a couple more throughout the day. The weather was mostly dry but the wind had Ballarat written all over it. A good variety of caches were found and we also had a lovely lunch at Pipers on Lake Wendouree.
The yappy dog was here for us today too. A short dog on a high deck (an unfortunate combination) and feeling very exposed with the two huge new houses on the opposite side of the creek. Last find for us today.
Thanks Shamus1

22 Jump Street to next cache along the trail. Getting minty these last couple and need their plastic covers to keep the damp out. TNLN TFTC.
Found on a rather wet Sunday afternoon's walk. Happily I didn't get caught out in the rain. The dog next door was yapping the whole time. But nobody seemed to care.
