Day tripping with ToucanKB and Danielle46, signing logs as KTD. Clever concept here. The chirp didn't work for us but we appreciate the originality and effort involved. We used the alternative method - thank you for providing one. We found the waypoint container several extra metres along the object mentioned so there may have been cache creep at the waypoint. The cache itself could do with some attention. We found a rusty eclipse tin missing its lid and a pencil lying in the open next to the tree described by other cachers. We covered it lightly with natural materials and placed a rock on top to stop the bush turkey lurking nearby from digging it up. Tftc.
Out cache for the day with KabbellaQld and Danielle 46 signed as KTD this is very nice garden to walk around tftc
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Started the day at Dululu and then headed to Westwood for an Earth cache. Back to Rockhampton and then onwards to Gladstone. Finally out to 1770 for the EC and Ad Lab.Seems the magnet has gone on this one. Could see where it was supposed to be. Now under the bigger tree towards the water.
Qe didnt have a chirp, but the alternative worked fir us well. We gave GZ a good search but no luck, about to give up, The cache was found in the open, behind a tree. Have left there but now covered. After staying in Dululu overnight, we discussed options on directions, always so many choices, but the one was made to head towards Rockhampton via an earthcache and down the Bruce. Other options had more appeal, but left for a time when there was more of it. Listening to the radio that the section of road between Rockhampton and Gladstone was the most notorious for fatalities as we drove had us revaluation our option. Not from the report so much, but from the many near misses we saw while on it. Gladstone was a new discovery for me, having never visited. Big ships and tugboats, but a lovely day exporing about through caching.1770, with a name like that was a destination. Arriving very late afternoon with just enough light to see the pretty area, very popular and busy, but can see why. Black sands on the beach, a sunset and an AL to show us around. A short but nice visit then off till a cache stop found a good site to set ip camp overnight on the way to Bundaberg. Thanks for your cache that guided us about.
Found two containers. Chirp wasn't working but alternate method was perfect.Sign The Roos.Tftc
Thanks for this amusing one, love the gardens although visiting on a rainy day. Out with The Roos
I've driven today from Childers to Gladstone however I've gone via many caches on the way that were particular targets for challenges that I'm working on. This one was lovely and peaceful. There was hardly anybody at the botanic Gardens today. I obtained the coordinates the less technological way and made my way to Ground Zero where I found the cache which is a little rusty but was a haven for ants . The ants have been removed for the moment and the log was signed, everything was put back without anybody being wiser. Thanks for the cache.
Headed over to Gladstone for something to do on the Easter long weekend. Went for a wander in the Botanical gardens (with lots of mozzie spray!)Such a great idea for a multi! Using the hints we had the first location spotted pretty quickly, following by a leisurely stroll towards the final gz. Such a lovely place! TFTC!
Th chirp actually worked. Gets a favorite from us. Thanks for the multicache. Beautiful area.
We've found it. Thanks for that. But it was impossible to write on the logbook because of the aints and the little eggs.
Skipped the chirp and found it easily, on my way to learn about chirps right now (we did see the first part but didn't understand)
Today, my geocaching journey began at the given coordinates, leading us to the initial stage. After decoding clues and solvingthe chirp, I unveiled the coordinates for the next stage. I embraced the challenge of finding the second stage. The landscape tested our geocaching skills, making the discovery even more rewarding. At the final stage, we uncovered the hidden gem. The cache container was cleverly concealed, blending seamlessly with the surroundings. It was a moment of triumph as we signed the logbook, leaving our mark on this multi-cache adventure. We extend our gratitude to the cache creator for crafting an engaging and thought-provoking multi-cache. The journey was filled with excitement, and we look forward to more geocaching adventures ahead.Happy Caching!
We made a little deviation on our way to Gladstone to visit this multi. My Wolf App jas not registred the chirp, so we headed for backup. The cache.has been found easily. The place is very nice. On the way back to parkiglot we visited the Whitches market. Thank you for the cache.
Passing through the area, after our trip to Cape York.A quick find here. Signed the log and replaced as found.A fun cache, and a favourite point given. Many thanks for placing this cache, Tui65, for us and others to find.
Lovely place. Wedding has been set up very near to GZ so glad we were here before all the guests. Tftc.
On the hunting trail with SeasonedBird while on a slow roundabout route to QOGM 2023 at Longreach. It’s a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

I took a drive to Gladstone with the aim to find a multi cache. This cache looked interesting. I was not disappointed. What a lovely area. The chirp did not work so plan B was used. A favourite point given. TFTC
In the area with Selva Girls today to pick up some caches and this was one of them. Arrived as the park opened and we were soon at GZ but the Chirp didn't work. Used plan B and soon found what we needed on the ground.
Headed off to GZ and made a quick find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Next, Konie and I came to the botanical gardens to do a lab cache. This multi was there too, so we decided to do it too. The chirp was not working on the onkly GPS that we had, so we searched the alternate location. I searched as per the hint, but Konie found the container on the ground. With coords for the final entered, we headed off on a pleasant stroll to GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
We decided to spend an extra night in Rocky and try our luck at the Cry series and then finish off the CQ Adventure before heading for a couple of earth caches in a bit of a loop and anything else that popped up on the screen.
We were in the gardens doing the adventure lab and we certainly weren't going to leave this multi behind. We have three chirp readers on the phone so we were quite confident that we would get the answer. Unfortunately my phone had done an upgrade a couple of days ago and now none of the receivers would work, they all came up with error codes. Something else that needs to be fixed.
Happily for us the CO had provided an alternate method of getting the co-ords which turned out to be quite simple and we were soon on our way to gz where the cache was found after a brief search and our name has been added to the log.
Thanks Tui65 for the cache.

My gps, searched for the chirp but could not detect the signal and I was standing in front of it. I think it may need a change of batteries. My Garmin had never had an issue picking up a chirp signal before.
Never mind as you have generously left the coords visible as well. This garden is amazing and so beautiful .
The cache was found easily while completing the AL. Thanks for showing me this area that I wouldn't have found without geocaching.

Found as I make my way south and home after attending the Mega Event in Townsville.
I tried to do this cache when I was up this way in July last year, but the gardens were closed for a light show event. No such restrictions today!
Unfortunately the chirp wouldn’t trigger the gps for me today, but the alternative method worked a treat and the cache was soon found after a short walk.

Nice easy find at WP1 and at the final, jodsta83 had spotted it before I’d even started looking. Shaweet!

A great location and I wish we had more time to explore but this was just an optimistic multi and attribute collection.
Mega Travel - Day 1: Brisbane to Rockhampton
Up early and travelling, grabing a few caches of interest on the way though. A bit if zig-zagging up the A1 never hurt anyone! TFTC.

Found. Sadly full of water and rust. Emptied the water out and tried to place it so water would get in. TFTC.
That was a lot of fun and definitely a favourite point from us! Thanks for showing us this beautiful park! TFTC
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
21/6/21 Down from Mackay on holidays and grabbing some Geocaches. TFTC SL Good First Chirp Cache. Quiet spot at GZ with the locals.
Not sure if lost or something else due to the amount of work there. The hints don't relate to anything that I could see.
This was fun, had a great time as this was my first time doing a multi-cache, therefore I'm awarding a favourite point
That section of the park is currently closed off unfortunately, will need to try again at another point.
Day 3 of a long weekend adventure in Gladstone Region, along with Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and Fangsoki. Mostly targeting older caches, and whatever else popped up on our radar. I have done a few of these chirps now and usually there's a bit of tooing and froing to get the info and then some conjecture on how to use it .... nope - not a single glitch today. Garmin reacted on approach to GZ, popped up a new destination and one click of a button was happily navigating me to new home. And there exactly was a container and logbook. Nice job. And what a lovely area indeed. I love the cool lawn and water and the sculptures around the area.
Thanks Tui65 for entertaining me at this location.

1MinnieMoo, Crew 153, Pprime, and I were in town grabbing a few caches. We decided to grab this one.
We made our way to this one. It was this point, I learned that the program I use for chirps on my smartphone no longer worked with the newest version of android. ** SIGH **
Thankfully, Pprime's GPSr was up to the task and we were soon on our way to a new GZ. We soon spotted the prize in a lovely area. A great little cache. TFTC Tui65

On this is the one time on this trip only that I had to concede with the Great iPhone vs Android debate. While my iPhone had successfully navigated us to some roads that the androids had not agreed with, I will admit, the iPhone does not have Chirp availability. However, with Fangsoki, Pprime and Crew153 all owning Android and two of them having GPS devices as well, we were not short of possibilities here. Fangsoki had technical difficulties with his Android, but the GPSs the other two had did not falter. It wasn’t long before we were heading to an interesting spot to make a quick find, and enjoying what the location here had to offer.
Thanks for the cache Tui65.

A long weekend caching trip to Gladstone had been planned with 1MinnieMoo, Pprime and Fangsoki and a list of target caches had been prepared.
It was good to find something out of the ordinary. It is years since I had turned on my Chirp function on the GPS but it all worked a charm. I loved the walk through the gum tree forest. The new memorial for the centenarians is a great community incentive.
The cache was a quick find.

A beautiful spot to come and be harassed by the bush turkeys whilst watching the ducks, water hen and turtles cruise through the water. A great display by the moths at stage one (see photo - they look like scales) but going for a close look had me covered with the tiny winged creatures. Truly beautiful.
Hi Tui65 I found your cache here on a beautiful afternoon in the Gardens. I didn’t have a chirper thingy but found GZ and then the cache container and spent some time sitting in this peaceful place with lots of chirping around me. What a great idea to honour the residents who have lived for a century! Thank you for this experience and for placing the cache.
After surviving our epic adventure on another nearby cache we decided to try our luck at this one. Enjoyed our wander around inside the beautiful enclosed area before tracking down waypoint one (no chirp device on hand today). Headed off to GZ, had to wait for some nearby muggles to finish taking in the amazing nearby features before being able to retrieve the cache and sign the log. Such a lovely area and idea, thanks for placing this cache here.
This was my first multi cache, managed to complete with out a chirp. Was fairly easy to find, had to wait for prying eyes to leave before finding the final cache.

Was that a bird chirping, no it was just a kookaburra on the fence looking around. Back to finding the info for this cache, found, and now off to GZ to find cache. Did not tale long to find. TFTC Tui65
Me geocache guided tour of towne today,
took me back to the gardens
Why is it so busy here on a Tuesday ?? [:o]
Ah yes !! Skool holidays
There were muggles everywhere !! [:o]
Not too worry.
And at the Chirping spot,
I soon found the clue I needed
And sprinted off across the green and packed picinic grounds to GZ
Hooray !!
Not a muggle close by
Must be me lucky day !!
And the cache was a quick find in the anointed place [^]

Looking for the first coordinates took longer then what it should of as i was looking for something that didn't exist, but finally found it and then it was a quick walk to where the actual cache was.
Stopped off at the gardens for a picnic lunch and once we had eaten set off to find this multi cache. The first WP was easily found and the info punched into the GPS. Off to GZ but found some people relaxing just where we wanted to search. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry and as soon as they left we swooped in for a quick find.

TFTC. We decided to spend another day camped at Calliope Riverside camp. WWE would spend a good few hours targeting those caches to give us the second souvenir for the Museum Heist. Luckily there were enough caches in Gladstone with the required clues.
The gardens were closed as they we setting up for Luminous . Fortunately we could walk to Waypoint 1 and the final co-orbs without getting in the way.

Parked and made our way to the GZ as our etrex20 doesn’t have chirp feature we found first point OK at the hint read the co-ords then inputed them in to the gps, then followed the arrow to where I found a cache container with the logsheet Signed log KFAU ( my shorted username ) 9:45 am 15/5/19 and replaced as found, Tui65 TFTC.
1 x TB Visited. I also replaced the final container as the lid was missing.

Can not locate Bench. This is the first attempt at geo caching with the kids so maybe we need to try again?
What a beautiful location for this multi!! As a cacher who uses her phone for geocaching, I didn’t have the “chirp” option but, as the CO mentioned, it wasn’t necessary! I followed the instructions and had the first stage completed quickly. Before moving on to the final, my Muggle daughter and I wandered through this pretty Japanese garden taking photos and enjoying the serenity. When we found the container, we took several minutes to look at all the locals who have journeyed 100 years through life. The history in that!! As we misplaced our pen, I’ve taken photo proof that we found the cache and the next time my Muggle daughter goes, she will sign the logbook. TFTC and greetings from Canada !
A nice interesting Multi. Found easily. Tin a bit rusted, but logbook is fine. TFTC
Replaced the Battery in the Chirp today, should be good for another 12 months or so.. chirp chirp
I don't know what happend to the Nano, but the original container has resurfaced. I will replace it as soon as the replacement Nano arrives
After staying overnight at a typical country pub in Bajool, we set off early, continuing our journey south . Our aim was to pick up presolved Mysteries along the way.
Chirp chirp , cache cache. Is it a nano or is it a mint tin? Today we only found a rusted old mint tin , so the real mystery is where did the replacement nano go?
Thanks Tui65 for the multi .

We came across your cache, Tui65, on our way caching towards this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.

We are glad that the Curator gave permission . Chirp wouldn't work for us today but all still OK.

Gladstone & Tannum Sands area. Day 2
Today we toured the area following the geocache trail, finding a good variety of locations & caches.
We didn't have a chirp on either of our GPS so we collected the co-ord from its location. We have been to this lovely park a number of times overthe years. Our last visit we had a DNF here.
Thanks for placing this cache Tui65

Skip and I headed back here to see if we could avenge our DNF... well we knew we could as we had spoken to the CO and between us we agreed I would replace it as I had a nano in the post. Thanks for bringing me to this nice spot, and for future finders it’s now a nano, since it keeps going missing as a mint tin. TFTC Tui65
I found stage one, although my GPS wasn’t picking up the signal today. I headed to GZ, crawled around for as long as I could without attracting attention, but was unable to make a find. TFTH Tui65
Finally heading south. staying a few days in Gladstone.
After catching up with the Bundyrumandcoke clan last night, and learning that we did indeed miss a few obvious caches and highlights of town Mr Felix awoke early and headed on out this morning with the hope of rectifying those mishaps.
Yay a chirp that worked first time. Loved it thanks.
Never enough time, we will have to return to Gladstone sometime to grab those we missed by not attempting and those that we yet again had to DNF.

We're currently visiting the region, staying at a friend's house while they're away. Although muggle hubby lived here previously, and we visit quite regularly, we've never been to the gardens! What a wonderful location to stop in and have a spot of lunch (the melts at the cafe are to die for, just sayin). After a stroll through the gardens, I decided to check and see if there were any caches in the gardens, and there was. A quick find for me in the end and some great information about the original water source for Gladstone, as well as the plaques! Thanks for the cache. Logged with the permission of the cache owner as I didn't have my own ink with me to sign (of course, every other time I have one in my back pocket).
Fairly easy for this one but took my Geo great aunty and uncle and I a while to find it TFTC
A geocaching roadtrip is an amazing thing. It takes lots of preparing, planning and pre puzzling to ensure time on the road is maximised. I have to say I exhibited none of these attributes as we readied ourselved for this roadtrip. I was fortunately joined by the energizer bunny (seffnjarah) and the Square Jawed Mountain Man (Crookedpete) who both like to prove how capable they are as the alpha males of the Bromance. While there is often much chest beating and tantrums, we manage to remain positive and end up with a good plan of attack.
We set off on Friday lunch time (so CP had time to make himself pretty) and returned late Sunday nigh, traveling some 2000klms, approx 70 caches of varying D/T Ratings, in just on 54 hours. Sadly there were a few DNF's (which some of the team took harder than others), but we saw many different cache styes, and some amazing places. Thanks to all the CO's who placed these caches for us to find.
Day 2 of the Bromance Road trip saw us back on deck after a few short hours sleep in the bush at the back of Gladstone. It is amazing how fast we can set up, sleep and pack up! I must say there was anabsolute army of mosquitos outside my tent that kept me awake a bit. I was glad they couldnt get in or I would have been eaten alive!
A nice spot here - so nice we decided to stay and have breakfast! Perfect. I really loved the Kookaburra swooping down to grab SNJ's sausage off his plate! Hahahaha. Our serenity was hampered only marginally by the grinding of chainsaws by the early morning arborists!
I do enjoy a Chirp cache, though my GPSR does NOT! bah! Thank goodness the Bromance was here to help. Soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for bringing us here.

It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches including this one, a few wee hill climbs including this one, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.
It is the morning of Day 2 of the trip and up to now our driver, Seff, seemed intent on starving Fungus and I. Without food and coffee a mutiny was looming soon. Having discovered the chirps message near the Japanese gardens, we walked past some bacon and eggs on the BBQ on our way to the final. An immediate decision to stop for breakfast was made.
Always love grabbing chirp caches - though they are so few and far in between that it takes me a while to remember how to turn on that function on my GPS.
Thanks Tui65 - enjoyed out stop in these gardens
