Another year, another Autumn, another event and a cracker of a turn out on a stunning damp Bluies day.
Great to see so many people ready to brave the Bluies on a day such as today, but that is just part of what caching in the Bluies is like at this time of the year.
Please be sure to log the last of the trackables out of the event and we will see you at the spring event.

Our 9136th overall find.
This event is one of the few that we aim to attend every year. I think this was 8 years in a row. It was great to see everyone again and whilst the weather wasn't great, it wasn't as bad as some of the years.
Thanks to Team Webguy for the event, congratulations on the milestone.

Catching up on old logs. I enjoyed having a chat to people about their new cache ideas or challenges.
A greyish Bluies day that did not detract from the large roll up (as seen too with the photo call) for the anniversary gathering and a celebration of Team Webguy caching longevity
Many a known face, but it was also good to meet some new including blissbaby who coopted the elusive Mr Darcy to give practical guidance to the GZ of Monkey Puzzle ... a short exit from the park for the dash to the other side of WentyFalls, then back for more mix and chat.
An enjoyable few hours indeed. Thanks go to Team Webguy for another outstanding event.
(A belated log ... a catchup with GSAK database.)

Despite the inclement weather, it is always a nice trip up the mountains to Wentworth Falls for the annual Autumn Caching In The Bluies event. Lots of friendly faces and it was fantastic to meet some new teams that are just starting out in the game. Congratulations to Team Webguy for all the milestones achieved with today's event. I'm very much looking forward to the 2016 ACITB event. Cheers.

A top turn out as per usual for a Bluies event, even if there was a bit of rain about !
You are not a cacher if ya have never been wet, lol
it was fantastic to see all the faces , new and old, catch up with friends like we seen them yesterday, top stuff !
we did some fine mountain caching in the morning, man we Routers are a tad unfit lol, the best bit is going up to a cache, as it is down on the return, certainly had some fine memories coming back of the early days of caching in the bluies the damp of the bush made it a tad more special, and the smell is something that is special, we love it
Thanx to all involved , especially the Webguys for putting the event on
Cheers

Always a good event regardless of the weather. In fact the view over the lake through the fog and the occasional drizzle was quite atmospheric. Nice to catch up with cachers old & new. Thanks Webby & congrats on the milestones.
The dreary weather wasn't enough to keep this avid band away. What an impressive turnout. Enjoyed meeting some of the faces behind the new names as well as catching up with a few old friends too. Thanks for putting it on Team Webguy and congratulations for your personal anniversaries.
Despite the weather I had a great time playing with ZoNic66,lachnic62, rowbot and The_Imp.
Got to the event after the photo shoot but there were still plenty of people around for a chat. The weather was patchy going up the mountain and it held off enough during my time at Wentworth Falls. SL #1949 on streak day #1032 TFTE

Despite the inclement weather, it was very pleasing to see so many attending this well established caching event, 10 years and counting.
Thanks Team Webguy for gathering us all together.

At the end of the day, a black folding camp chair and a silver small thermos flask was left at the picnic shelter. If you own either of these items, please contact me through my profile and I will arrange to get them back to you.

I think this was the sixth time I've turned up for this event since I started caching. In those years there has been sunny weather and cold weather, but this was the first time in my experience there has been any rain. But only a slight drizzle. It was further down the mountain, around Lawson and Bullaburra, where the rain band seems to stay, that there was heavier rain on our way to and from the event. At the event, however, we were treated with the atmospheric mist of low level cloud, making the shore on the opposite bank look like a picturesque scene from Wordsworth's Prelude.
We managed to hobnob with the crowd, get something to eat, give a few explicit hints and pump the flesh of old friends and new, all without getting shoes wet.
I'm not sure what the people we shared the shelter with made of our gathering, but we had a good time. Thanks Webguy

Muggle husband, Master _Q and I arrived just in time for the photo. Met some nice people and saw some familiar faces. Lots of TB to discover.
Then we left for a bite to eat at the Yellow Deli in Katoomba. Best place in all of Sydney;)
Thanks for organising and nice to meet you!!!!

Ahhh, autumn caching in the...rain and mist. It was actually quite nice with the mist covering the park.
I got to catch up with heaps of cachers I already knew, and also heaps of new faces as well to put to all those logs I see from so many people who would otherwise be just names in ...the mist.
Thanks Webby, hope to see you all next time, RS.

Thanks Team Webguy for organising today's event, and congratulations on your 11th anniversary. Great to see such a good turn out, and catching up with many cacher friends and meeting several new cachers also. We unfortunately missed the group photo by 2 minutes.
It's always good to attend these events. I get to see familiar faces, and welcome new faces to the 'business'. Best of all we get to trade hints.
Other than the miserable weather I had a good day out.
Thanks for hosting.

I love this area of the mountains, the weather can be so different at the same time of the year. For every year I have attended this annual event, the weather and temperature has been different every time! But I love it! A good turn out considering the weather we have had recently. Again, some of those regulars and meeting some of those newer cachers. It's the same old but I enjoy it every time. Great work by Team Webguy, always making sure everyone is comfortable, keeping us out of the misty air with shelters. Great job as always, thanks as always Webguy!!! TFTE!!
Thanks again to Web Guy for presenting a great event. Congratulations on your 11 Years of caching and the 10th year of this event.
Our visits to the mountains are to infrequent and when the chance comes to spend time with the Mountains friends we have made through Geocaching, we grab it with both hands. It would take road closures to keep us away. While this year was wet, it wasn't unpleasant and the available cover provided enough room for all and the chance to move around and try to talk to everyone. That is probably a problem I have because I have walked away thinking about all the things I wanted to ask others about and didn't. Next time.
This year we left a bit early to do a few local caches and enjoyed every one. Even though we had to PAF for help with one, we still felt that our experience was a good one.
Visited some trackables and took 2 to move around.

Another super Autumn Caching in the Bluies event! Despite the pretty wet weather it was still a great day with a really good turnout & we enjoyed catching up with many other cachers. Even in this weather the mountains are beautiful & we always love coming up here. We ended up having a brilliant weekend staying the night at Katoomba, attending this event, and then doing some nice nearby caches with some good friends.
Thanks Team Webguy for organising the event!

Great to meet so many fellow cachers, and put faces to names. A good turn out, and thanks for sharing trackables.
Loved the lake - what a beautiful part of Australia.
Congratulations to Team Webguy for: 10 years of running this event, 11 years of caching, and for sharing your milestone on the 15th anniversary of the start of geocaching. A job, very well done.

Another fabulous day in the mountains at a great event that I was able to attend BECAUSE the weather was so wet. Soccer had been cancelled but the weather does not affect cachers. As I approached Wentworth Falls, the mist appeared out of no where and a continual drizzle did not dampen the mood. It was great to catch up with everyone, particularly those I hadn't seen in a while. Nice to be part of the photo shoot but then lunch was calling at Schwartzes Patisserie. I was over joyed to have found a kindred spirit who loves cafes as much as I do. Thanks Hancocks and Wazza9 and Nana Nel. A cache was found prior though, so we earnt our lunch. Happy geobirthday Team Webguy and thanks for making sure we all celebrated 15 years of geocaching. I can't imagine life without a cache or two..
Finally made an Autumn caching event, only taken 10 years! Travelled up from the city with PJ1955 and had a terrific time catching up with geobuds old and new. Despite the weather there was a great turn out. TFTC Webguy!
What a great day, got to meet a number of people but didn't get to talk to a lot more. Thanks for the day & congratulations
Another great Team Webguy event, weather notwithstanding.
This event is fast becoming an institution, Autumn is a wonderful time in the bluies with the trees showing colour and the snakes getting sleepy. It was great to see so many new faces along with the regulars this year, especially those from outside NSW who made the trip.
Thanks for organising it Team Webguy

Mum (P&Q) and dad, aka muggle husband, visited this event cache so obviously I came along. And although I'm sure there were lots of nice people around, I was more interested in the water and ducks. Also the playground close by was also super:)
I decided last night that I would make the effort to come out to this event. I've enjoyed meeting fellow cachers and knew that a couple I already knew were coming up. I woke up reasonably early for a sunday and stopped and grabbed some picnic snacks to share. An hour and a half later I arrived at the GZ to find a large group already gathered. I found PK1965 and first lady quickly. They were ducking off to grab a couple of caches so I tagged along. Unfortunately we got back just after the photo was taken. I unpacked my picnic to share with everyone and started looking through all the trackables that had been brought. Their were some interesting ones to see. I will have to discover them all later. Had an awesome couple of hours chatting to fellow cachers before heading out to find more local caches. Thanks for hosting the event. It was fun despite the weather.
Spooky grey day at the lake! had a great time chatting about caching Met some people I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting until today. Thanks Web Guy for an enjoyable event!
First geocacher to visit. Will be a great. No one else is here. Am I here on the right date. TFTC.
Great event again, congrats on all the milestones. What a great turn out, especially considering the weather! Great to catch up with so many geocachers again.
Despite the weather there was a marvellous turn out of my caching friends. It was great to chat however brief to so many people.

I was so happy that this day was clear on our schedule & that we could make THE mountains event.
Great to see that even a bit of rain can't keep people away, with a fantastic turn out. Lots of familiar faces & plenty of new people as well, great mix.
Congrats on 11 years of caching

Great to catch up with so many people. Congratulations Webguy on your caching accomplishments.
This was a welcome relief after whats been a hectic week of SES. With the skies still inclement we err'd on the side of optimism and headed towards the Bluies. Unfortunately the weather was similar to that of home but it didnt deter us from enjoying our time at the 10th Autumn caching event.
It was nice to catch up with some familiar faces and meet a fewer ones.
Thanks Team Webby for hosting this event.

#2977- It was a wet, miserable day as we left Springwood this morning and seemed to get worse the further we went. But somehow as the tent went up, it seemed to clear a little to allow the many people who made the trip an opportunity to catch and chat. And what a group it was- not sure if it was a record, but it certainly was substantial- fitting for the commemoration of 15 years of the hobby, 10 years of the Bluies events by Webguy and 11 years caching for Webguy.
Great to catch up with lots of friends and especially great to see Mr Darcy! Thanks Webby for the organisation and speaking to the caching weather gods, for it to hold out most of the time. Cheers.

Many thanks to Team Webguy for putting on yet another 'Autumn Bluies' . . . and congrats on the 10th anniversary of the event!
My apologies for leaving after only 45 minutes. I had another event to attend at 12:30!
Great to talk to old friends and to meet new ones.
Amazing how many geocachers turned up, despite the less-than-ideal weather . . .

Much as I would like to say tomorrow is looking awesome, it could be a repeat of the very first of these events, so please come prepared for rain, umbrella, wet weather gear etc etc.
We will try our best to get the large shelter but if other people have the same plans, there is only one shelter to grab.

It's presently still raining lightly, here in Leura, about 2 km from the event site.
Good news is that it's not too cold (14 degrees at 8pm) and there's no wind!
With any luck, other 'picnic-enthusiasts' will give up on Sunday, assuming that it will be the same as Saturday! That should leave plenty of space for us . . .

Found by accident while I was driving past.
Good to catch up with friends old and new.

My soccer game got canceled so that means I can attend. Looking forward to it, regardless of the weather.
Definitely still coming, dragging my two kids, husband, mum and grandmother along...should be interesting:-)
Well ill be there now. .....had to cancel my 40th birthday party due to flooding at the venue and 2/3 of our backup venue collapsing in last weeks storms (ie. OUR HOUSE!!).....ahhh well. ....at least the silver lining is that I'll get to see my caching buddies! !!
I finally have dates/times for all of our other commitments for this weekend, and luckily have ended up with Sunday morning free. Will be there, with a child or 2 (maybe even 3).
Will be there with the geokids. They are hoping that JB will be coming with his flying machine.
We (2) will be in Sydney for a week or so, and look forward to attending this event.
We will here for our fifth autumn event.

Will attempt to be there...but that will depend if I need to go the other direction to the airport
We will be there, this will be our first caching event ever, looking forward to meeting everyone. (We = 2x adults, 1x geo kid, & 1x geo baby)
Sadly we wont make it this year. Open day at school on the day and duty calls.
Hi to everyone. Hope its a terrific day out. Usually is, regardless of the weather!
