Even with the help of the owner of the winery who knew roughly where it was we couldnt find it.
Found with lid 0pen and full of water. Log sodden. Placed a temp log while I dry out the log book as we are staying at Mountview.TFTC
Found on a Winter day with Roostaman, on our Winter escape trip. . Thanks for the cache Where's Matilda, ***MrsRoosta***
Found it on our 2024 Winter escape trip. On the way North and a few more caches around Stanthorpe. All good with the cache and a quick find. Thanks for the cache Where's Matilda, ***Roostaman***
Took awhile as co ords has us in the opposite direction but we found it in the end TFTC
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. Heading back from a morning in Tenterfield, we detoured in to find this one. We did our best to avoid traipsing on any of the beautiful garden plants at GZ. Cache smaller than expected. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.
We bumped into Peppa and Pirate linda and suggested we cache together for a while. This was one of the caches we collected along the way around town, easy find, thanks for the cache.

PirateLinda and I have come down for Beardman75’s Catch-up in Stanthorpe event tonight… Apparently people come here in the middle of winter… for fun… Being our only full day in town, it was all about Girraween…
Having conquered Girraween, or at least some of it, a group of us are making our way back towards Stanthorpe…
Found with PirateLinda, Willis007, and chamad…

Drive around the Granite Belt in our quest to reach 5999 before our milestone event on Saturday. Only had to find four today, so we decided to celebrate with hamburgers for lunch at Blue Topaz!
Easy find, thanks for the hide Where's Matilda

Driving north and had time for one more cache, picked this one as it helps with a challenge, so we detoured off the highway. The winery was closed but it meant no muggles around. Quick search and cache was found. Tftc
Out and about Stanthorpe and around Stanthorpe district while visiting from Brisbane for a few days. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches in these locations. Really enjoyed the time travelling around the countryside and town. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
After visiting the Underground Creek and walking to the Junction in Girraween NP we went hunting for some more caches. This one was found quickly. Tftc Where's Matilda
We met the lovely new owners of nearby business...only took over two weeks ago so didn't know about cache...do now and r happy to have it there...tftc

Second day of our Geocaching sortie to Stanthorpe. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny Spring day, today is wet, windy and bloody cold! 9 degrees with an apparent temperature of 4! Don't you love the stupid things that Geocaching makes you do

We had a lunch resevation at Jamworks although I kind of wish we didn’t. We were in the area supporting local business but when you set about murdering a coffee you lose my respect. Isn’t coffee the answer to religious wars, racism, sexism and the cure to stupidity? tftc
Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a not a difficult cache to find with ilook4geo. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to Where's Matilda for putting this cache into play.
We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.
Found with a few other cachers after a bit of a rock scramble earlier today.

Saturday. Mrs SP was down Girraween way. Both Herbz had done lots of work with our group today, but as yet, they hadn’t had any finds on nearby caches! With some caches picked out, we drove to some easy roadside finds and what must have looked like a swarm of bees, descended on some, this being one of them. Found quickly underneath the SPOR.
This was the 5th of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Where's Matilda***, for showing us this place.

We stopped by to grab this cache after an adventurous day in Girraween NP. All good here. TFTC
Out on a circuit from King Storm dam to pick up as many caches, and souvenirs, as possible. All that were attempted were eventually found, some taking longer than others. Mostly all the caches were in good condition though some had damp logs. I particularly enjoyed those caches that had been created by their COs, though even some of those made me feel very uncomfortable with their placement whether it was because it was on private property or so close to the highway that they didn't allow for good parking.
Big thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches which add another dimension to our travels.
All logs were signed with full name or as SG as I often do depending on space available, tthough signing was not necessarily straightafter the previous logger as sometimes I filled in a space.

This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching. My apologies if this appears in multiple caches but I have been really slack and accumulated a heap of drafts and not done anything about them.
Out for a cruise and thought we would do a quick cache. Easy find. Thanks for the cache.
Our last day in Stanthorpe and after bit of breaky we decided to head out to grab a few caches that we left close to the campsite to let the camper dry. This was our first stop. A quick find here before I headed back to the car to get more appropriate caching footwear on. TFTC and bringing us to the area Where's Matilda
Out and about for a three day road trip. Day 3.
After the rain a few days ago the place is drying out. The locals needed it so I am not complaining ... much.
I managed to park close to this one and wandered over to make a quick find.
This cache is nice and dry.

Whoo Hoo, a 5 day weekend and what better way to spend it than dragging our little van down to Summerville Tourist Park and sampling some of the finer things Stanthorpe has to offer, wine, cheese, fruits and berries and of course caches.
Picking up the planned hunt where we left off yesterday, a good night at the van park and a great breakky has us back on the track of the caches, we run this one down first
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick and the log is is ready for the next finder.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache Where's Matilda.
Cheers

Good caches and spending time with great friends. Doesn't get much better. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely part of Queensland. Thanks to Where's Matilda for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Caching plan for this week. Leave Nanango at about 3am and make my way to South of the Border. Found the one and only cache hide I needed in the Toowoomba area that was not a Multi and made my way to Warwick.
Working my way south from Warwick then the area around the west and North of Stanthorpe. Found one close by here and drove over to this hide. Roadwaorks in progress at the corner. This one was published 1 day after I left the area way back in early 2015. First trip back to this area since the Mega. Quick find. Now to make my way to Wallangarra/Jenings then down to Tenterfield then to the south of Glen Innes and work my way back to Stanthorpe before dark. TFTC Where's_Matilda.

Found at 10:11 AM GAFF1.
On our way to The Summit and we thought we would do some of the outlying caches along the way. Saw a sign that said "Bloody Good Red" which interested us, but when we got to the gate the establishment was closed
Thanks Where's Matilda.

We were staying in Tenterfield for the long weekend as we took to the hills of Girraween National Park for an overnight hike. After an exhausting few days with highlights including climbing Mt Norman, hiking almost 40km, climbing Bald Rock and spending some relaxing time at Basket Swamp, it was time to head off back home so we packed up, and headed off to grab this one, before picking up a treat for family nearby We soon arrived at GZ and spotted a likely spot from a distance, and quickly had the cache in hand and added our names to the logbook [^]

TFTC. We waltzed through thanks to Matilda. Nice straight forward find with the many eyes of TeamPaulsen.
Back in Stanthorpe for a few days to clean up after Mega, where we spent most of the time on the Apples.
Across the highway and across the river we went in search of Matilda. Was she/it to be found? But are we talking girl or swag? Cache didn't have a swag.
Found at 5:34pm on 6th December, 2015. TFTC.

A slower day today preparing for the trails tomorrow, we did some excellent caches today, 30 caches in 3 hours ,all fine finds, many thanx to all cache placers for the efforts put in, top stuff
Looked in a few places but once widening the search managed to locate, signed log and continued on our journey home. TFTC
Looked in all the places a regular could be and nothing. Broadened out the search and found the prize. I"d reckon this is a small size but a finds a find! TFTC
Found at 3:54:00 PM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We started the Granite Belt Bike Trail this morning and soon realised that if we were going to have any chance of completing it in one day we would need a bit more horsepower so we swapped the bikes for the Geomobile. We grabbed this one while doing the bike trail.
Thanks Where's Matilda.
Thanks Where's Matilda.
With a few green boxes on the geocaching map that needed to be exchanged for yellow smilies, we came a cache-hunting today. This was our third cache today which we found fairly quickly. Thanks very much Where's Matilda for hiding this cache for us and others to find. [^][^]

Today we did some post Mega caching finding 83 and 2 DNFs caches. Our aim today was to try and finish the caches on the eastern side of Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and return. We enjoyed the journey that the cache locations took us to.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
