Heading to Ipswich to visit my Dad. Nearly 12 mths now since he moved to a care facility and I try to knock over a cache or 2 on the way to or from visiting him.
Tried to stand thing up as they should be but some tools are required to return this cache back to days of old.
On the way back my boat got a little burnt out .

As noted by previous finders, the taller device is lying on the ground - makes the fishing a lot easier. The smaller toolbox could do with a hole in the bottom to drain water out - the hook is starting to rust. It was interesting to meander along the tracks here and see what is going on so close to the highway, but out of public view generally. Added to the log, and replaced everything as found. TFTC, ipswichsearchers.
Finding the road to get to this cache was the hardest part. Once we arrived at GZ it was quite an easy stroll up to the rocks where we balanced & made our way to the cache. Sad to see this one in this state as it would have been a great one in its glory days. Would be great to see the CO or someone give it some TLC to give it some life.

There was a big mound of dirt in front of the suggested parking coordinates so we drove further where we could see some clearing. A little balancing act through the rocks taking care not to twist any ankles in this 'fishing' expedition. The bigger tube was on the ground when we arrived at gz. Bit disappointed the condition of the cache was poor.

This would have been great if it had not been damaged. Unfortunately someone has pulled the long tube out of the ground although we did hold it upright and go fishing. Tftc but needs maintenance

Bit of a cross country hike, not made any easier by yesterday’s rain. Thank God for boots and jeans, I’m sure there were plenty of creepy crawlies around.
Once ar GZ, the cache was spotted easily and the catch hooked in seconds. TFTC!

Loved it! Took me a little bit of fishing and hubby would be jealous that I spent so much time and patient here when real fishing is so not my thing. Maybe he should put some caches out for me to hook! Lol
Almost gave this one a miss because of the recent rains but then decided what the he'll can put with a lot for 60 metres. What a fun cache another fav pt to add tftc
Mrs VC was keen for a drive & to grab a few more smilies and who am I to argue?
Covering the last stretch of 'road'? to GZ was a little 'suspect' to say the least.
Some guy in a dual cab was parked, blocking the road, & had to move on before we could proceed & then my driving skills were tested dodging the washouts & rubbish piles until, finally, we had gone as far as we could in the Geo-Beast.
My footing was now tested as I negotiated the, apparently, reasonably new drainage rock lining but I was encouraged by something I spotted not too far away.
I reached GZ without going wrong-side up, inspected the 'tools' & went fishing.
Rewarded with a quick catch I had a chuckle, made our mark & replaced as found.
I think it took longer to repack the 'tackle box' than it did to catch the 'fish'.
Nicely designed & constructed & worthy of a favourite point for the novelty design.

We probably should have approached this one a different way, but the rocky terrain was a good workout at least. Awesome cache, thank you!
I thought this one may take a while but my fishing skills were on point and I jagged it first go!

Gotcha. When we previously attempted this one we were in Tarzan territory. The undergrowth was over our heads and we gave in. Now that there has been some drainage works in the area it is ok. The best fishing trip that I have ever been on, no sunburn, no sandfly bites, did not loose any bait and I caught my cache. Thanks ipswichsearchers.
Went out for afternoon of caching, this was a little bit of a challenge but was fun, TFTC.
Looks like there has been lots of work near GZ. Makes for a very short walk to the cache.
This one took a bit of jiggling before I snagged it by the wrong end. No matter it got the job done.
Another favourite point for this one. [^]

We decided to plan a day of geocahces, after doing five other geocahces we decided this would be our last one, we all enjoy fishing and so this was fun but at first we couldn't get it so one of us climbed a tree to try and see it but it was to dark to see down so we almost gave up, then someone suggested we tie a torch to the line and we went with the plan, finally we found it and hooked. Thanks for another awesome cache
Caro from Jess & Caro is coming down to stay with me in Brisbane for the weekend, and we decided to meet half way and spend the day caching our way around Ipswich.
After a lunch break we left my car behind for a while, and headed north to grab this collection of caches near Chuwar. I was rather surprised at the area we ended up in, as a lot of rubbish has been dumped here We were able to drive all the way out to the Trailhead WP as it has been well graded and gravelled. Then a rather wobbly walk brought us to GZ, and we just grinned at what we saw I got to do the fetching, and it all worked so easily! Nicely done! Have a favourite point. TFTC, ipswichsearchers.

Off for a fun weekend in Brissy area with IolantheK. I drove us down to this area in amongst all the dumped garbage. We made our way over to GZ and wow how cool is that! A super fun and clever cache. Thanks for creating and placing this, ipswichsearchers!
An awesome way to start a Saturday morning run with the GeoKid. Very creative hide! TFTC
Had to dodge some workmen doing construction or clearing work.
Got to the cache and did a bit of fishing.
Log signed and replaced.
Thank you very much for a great cache.

Will we get to the airport on time or not, if we stop for this cache en route from Toowoomba?
That is the question being considered in the car this afternoon.
I'm returning to Tassie after a short stay in Toowoomba, with a 2 night trip to Bundy in the middle, with geoDaughter jll1713.
geoDIL was keen for this cache, we did some several time calculations and decided to stop.
Didn't read the Description properly so didn't pick up the trailhead and so made hard work to arrive at GZ.
Well worth the effort though, we found a well constructed cache - of which I've seen a couple of variations, but none quite like this one.
Took a few goes, and then a deft hand with delicate patience to 'catch' the prize.
Very pleased to complete the challenge, thanks for the adventure and the clever cache Ipswichsearchers. A genuine favourite.
Appropriately, today started by attending the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, and this was a nice way to finish the trip's geocaching
BTW, the answer to the question is "Yes", and this log is being written at Tullamarine.
Most excellent company whilst geocaching in Queensland this past week.

Have passed by this cache on many occasions driving to Brisbane and have wondered where do you actually go to get it? Finally had some time to look up how to access the cache and the time to pull off and go and find it! As with the previous finder the grass was very overgrown and no clear path, but we sent EeePees first and he soon found what we were looking for. We followed his path and came to the GZ, after a few attempts we claimed our prize and signed the log.
Loved the concept behind this cache, very creative! Favourite point awarded, TFTC

If there was a trail of any kind, it has been overrun with tall grass
But hey, there's a cache to find, and I've gone through worse for a cache, and this cache was more than worth the effort [^]
It only took a few goes to get the container, a very clever design, a favourite from me.
Thanks

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Now in Ipswich for medical appointments, today we managed to head out before the heat got unbearable, to grab a few close to us caches.
Love it. Definitely another fave point.

Headed down from Toowoomba with angloj to grab a few caches. This was our first stop for the morning just after 8:30. This one dings at me every time we head to Bris at it was time to find it. We pulled up at the co-ords and we headed in the direction we needed to go. A little hesitant with the rubbish trail that led the way but were happy to see what we found at GZ. After a few moments angloj caught her fish and we could sign the log. Great hide and TFTC ipswichsearchers
On my way back from out at Haigslea, and in need of my daily cache
The trail into this one has certainly overgrown with long grass!
Anyhow, I managed to find somewhat of a geo trail and followed that into ground zero [^]
I really enjoyed doing this one. I figured out what to do and the cache name says it all really
I had a couple of tries and then... **I caught one!** only a small one that I had to throw back, but not before dutifully signing and dating the log book
This one certainly deserves a favourite point from me [^]
Then it was off back into town for me. There is still another couple around here, but I'll save them for other trips to help me keep my streak going.
Thanks for the cache ipswichsearchers

Found with bennyboppers. A little tricky to get to but a quick find once at gz. After a few attempts we got the fish. Great cache. Tftc
Loved this cache it gets a favourite from me out with tough mother's today tftc
Took the hard way in as I couldn't find the path at the WP.. Found somewhat of a path back out though!

Some caching time today with RhoBoCacher. On our walk in, we found a heap of stuff that had been only just recently (less that a day>) dumped alongside the track. Some stuff was in good working order. We picked up a few items what will form the basis of some future caches.
Fantastic cache - unique design. I caught the fish on the first attempt. How lucky was that! Favourite point from us today.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 4.30pm on 19th November, 2016. TFTC

Out on a caching day with Roddy C and his wife today Picking up some caches down this way on our hitlists. this was an awesome cache loved the idea of it and may use this idea for a future cache ourselves great job well done. P.S. we did some cito while there some bits will be going to future caches and other stuff will be going to lifeline TFTC FP awarded from us
Brilliant!!! How awesome is this cache!!! Fav point from me! SL TFTC Ipswich Searchers!
After finding the others close by we went for a little bush bashing to do a little fishing. Provided ink is dry so be sure to byo. Tftc!
Found for the souvenir (10+ Favourite points, found this weekend) but I've been keen to visit this one for quite a while anyway.
I drove down the familiar road here (though I haven't been for quite a while) and parked before the T junction, walking the rest. That is quite a spot of erosion on the highway side: I was extra careful walking through there, and just a little concerned about snakes too!
The tubes were in great shape and I must admit that luck was on my side as I managed the grab on just my second go!
A great setup and so another FP from me to add to the tally. TFTC ipswichsearchers!

I took the GeoFalcon down a track which I probably shouldn't have attempted but I managed to get close to the cache.
A short stroll and I soon found the right way to access the cache but it took quite a few attempts before I managed to retrieve it.
Thanks ipswichsearchers That is one unique hide. a favourite point allocated

A perfect sunny afternoon for a drive around the North side of Ipswich.
A very good hide that took a few minutes to obtain the log.

Enjoying this series but again the tube is empty. Geo hubby is tall and looked down the tube when the fishing tool came back up solo . Cool camoed tubes
Finally got to find more of the creative tubular caches from the ipswichsearchers! Was able to drive fairly close to the cache. After a few tries was able to capture the cache and sign the log book. Thanks for this amazing find ipswichsearchers!
After Tubular 2 we headed towards this one - a new one since I had last looked at the series
the geo-mobile today was thankfully able to reach the parking spot for this one without any trouble and were able to walk to the cache - I would think it's a higher terrain with the 'trail' completely eroded at one point requiring a bit of bush bashing up and around through the long thick grass to get to gz.
But we made it - and it is another very cool cache.
This is my kind of fishing Regular fish I'll buy at the supermarket [;P]
Another unique cache and worthy of a favourite for construction and uniqueness (I have given one to my favourite of my series - Water Tower, but haven't got any more left)
It was fun today, thanks for the cache!

I sat this one out and let hubby head in for this one, I did not trust my balance here.
Now as he acquired the skills many years ago that would allow him to be able to complete the necessary tasks he was not away long. He also was kind enough to take photo's to let me know what I had missed out on. SL TFTC

OrionJ and I continued our caching adventures by taking a short stroll to this cache. A little bit of bush bashing soon had us at GZ. OrionJ knew exactly what to do to retrieve the cache and soon had it in hand. Our names were added tot he log and everything returned to its place before we headed off to the next one.
A short walk from the last stop and well it was not the easiest of walks, but made it none the less.
As soon as I saw what we were faced with, I knew just what would have to be done. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and soon enough the cache was in hand. We got the log signed and soon had all replaced and heading for the next one.

Found recently with my 5 & 6 year olds - let the kids navigate and try and solve these where they could - absolutely brilliant to see some innovative caches - major kudos to you. Thanks so much.
Ha ha didn't see that coming. Surprisingly i only took 2 goes. Another awesome hide. Tftc.
Another day of teaching the geodaughter driving and getting her hours up, so we drove over to this one for my daily find before work this arvo. I followed the path and soon came across a great bit of engineering here . It took me a few minutes before I was able to snag a fish and sign the log. TFTC ipswichsearchers
A few stray caches in a cluster not far from the highway, and who can resist?
A walk in through long grass which is always sure to raise Dawesy's blood pressure. Genyo and I left him to watch out for snakes while we retrieved the cache. It was easier than it looked

FANTASTIC container! I loved getting this one. Really creative! Thanks for the adventure! TFTC
Genyo, Ms Maddy and I were driving on the nearby highway and decided to stop to grab this cache. After following the instructions to get to GZ ( I cannot describe how thankful I am for the directions lol) we spotted where the cache was. Genyo yet again was sent in to retrieve the cache and before long we were signing the log. Yet another fantastic cache in the area and another favourite point handed out. TFTC!
We followed directions until we hit the major wash away. Then we went bush - wrong move. Had to tramp very carefully through uneven ground and very long grass. Arriving at GZ we realised we should've just skirted the wash away and continued along it.
What a great cache We aren't very good at fishing but I guess it was 'beginner's luck' for us - we hooked it first go. Some tiny ants have taken up residence in the 'fish' so we cleaned them out and replaced all apparatus as found.
Such a nicely crafted cache gets a favourite point from us.
Thanks for the cache and fun we had with this one.

I've been itching to get to this one as I knew I'd enjoy it. Published while I was at Mega!! Anyway got there and as usual I took the hard way in. Wading through grass waist high. Lots of stomping and smacking of grass to scare of the slippery critters. Came to GZ from the top and realised there must be a nice easy path there all along. Well now, I have to tell you I'm a lousy fisherman. This cache just confirmed it for me. Spent ages using different techniques until, quite by accident, I had it. Log signed and all equipment returned to the designated areas. Collected the geo-coin to move on quickly. Thanks ipswichsearchers, loved it, as I knew I would. Disappointed to hear it's the last. Of course a favourite point.
I only just recently ticked off the other caches in this area, then another one appears on the map... Hmm... Lucky I had some work to do out west this morning and could swing by on the return trip... [^]
I parked in a familiar spot, took a stroll then forged my way along the overgrown path to GZ. Once there, I spotted the cache immediately and soon worked out the theory... Nice...
It took a few attempts to snare the goods, but I got there eventually and added my name to the log. All done and the accessories packed up, I headed off, very pleased to have stopped by another nicely crafted cache.
Cheers ipswichsearchers. Here's a favourite point to add to the tally...

Easy find, and thanks to always caching with a flashlight a reasonably easy log extraction. Great cache, very clever indeed and gets a favorite point from me. Dropped off a geocoin I found whilst caching near Stanthorpe during the Mega. TFTC ipswichsearchers
