Cache Find #: 5927
Date night with mrs_sgtzara which on this occasion meant booking a nice wee Executive Suite in the Europa Hotel and despite the online booking system saying no, managing to secure a table for two at another establishment for yum yums.
After yum yums, we headed out to both see about finding this cache and get a bit of fresh air after drinking for 4hrs solid which isn't normally like us.
Now I confess I'd looked at this one shortly after publication and reckoned that I had a good hunch as to where same might be hidden. My hunch wasn't strong enough to convince me to try for it without actually solving the puzzle and thus this one has sat, unfound, since then.
Fast forward to a day or two before date night and with no other caches available for me to find in the city centre area, it was time to sit down and see about actually cracking this one.
While I'd a wee bit of guidance from a previous finder, it turns out that I'd actually solved it without realising. Once I was aware that I'd everything I needed in front of me, I had a crack at the geocheck site and sure enough, the elusive green light appeared. When I had a look at the co-ordinates on a well known mapping web-site, I cursed myself for not trusting my instincts, for this is where I initially suspected the cache to be.
And so, after a wee late evening stroll out to this one, it was a nice quick find at the expected spot.
Signed log and returned all as found for the next cacher to enjoy.
Thanks for this one andreabelfast, a neat wee puzzle and nice to see a cache which highlights a positive side of Belfast.
Favourite point awarded.

Find #991
A wee while ago when I realised 1000 was coming closer on the horizon, I started to have a think about what I would do to mark the occasion. And then a few people asked me what I had planned. And then a few more asked..... So the pressure was on and just to add to that, last week I decided that it had to be done by the end of September.... at that stage we had 41 left to find to hit the target.
After a bit of thought and some checking of the map, a target for 1000 was identified, so only 40 to go then. It was at this point that I decided that it might be a nice idea to revisit some of the COs that had made getting to 1000 so much fun and also made it possible by placing so many caches! There was a bit of discussion as to who we would revisit but ultimately location was the priority due to the deadline I imposed upon myself! When will i learn!?!
Disclaimer time.... These last 10 caches are not meant as a top 10, just a selection of COs whose many caches have helped us get to 1000 and that we have enjoyed along the way!
Who knows, if we make it to 2000 I might be more organised
Unfortunately we weren't able to include the CO (SKnipe) whose caches we have found the most of as, we have found them all, or at least those that dont require a boat! Maybe that will be the goal for 2000!
I think most people know that this CO and I have met on more than one occasion, in fact Andrea was the first cacher I ever met, at one of the milkshake events. Since then we have found many caches together and survived the geocamping in the Burren. Yes, we were the girls that showed up without a tent! (I should point out that it was on the way, we were just a little ahead of schedule) But we had our chairs and potnoodles and had a great afternoon as everyone else arrived and began setting up
Although we were slightly confused and disappointed that no one found our story about the steak roll on a plate as funny as we did!
Thanks for all your caches and for the fabulous soundtrack created for the trip to County Clare!!
This cache:
I had solved this puzzle a while ago and went to find it one very busy afternoon and had to abandon my attempt as I couldn't get parked anywhere nearby. Somehow I forgot all about this one until recently and when out on a days caching with the CO, I finally made it to GZ and the cache was quickly located all by myself and not handed to me on a plate!
As for the puzzle, I made a meal of this one! Having figured it out almost straightaway, I abandoned my first thought and went in a totally different direction before seeing sense!

Can't believe how much I over thought this one, couldn't understand the puzzle, got the title right as I new the mural but just had a Brain meltdown when it came to getting the co-ordinates. Finally got the solution but wish I'd just gone out to GZ to have a nosy. Tftc
