Early drive out on a Sunday morning to get a few of the unclaimed caches in the area. Had been here before but way too busy. this time the offices were closed but the car park was full. The RSL was packed down the road so that was probably the attention. Looked, poked and prodded to no avail. Most of the ground area is covered in a thick mat of green vines, so whether we were looking in the wrong spot, who knows.
Wow... very tricky. Took us a while and I shimmied up the wrong tree over the creek before the gps settled. Then spent a long time looking in the right place and seeing anything amiss. Love it, we'll add a FP.
Round and round, until reezielou called ‘hey that’s just not right’. We soon had the log in hand, sneaky hide as always Nottinghamers! TFTC!
Quick trip out with Krcamber, when we decided to give this a go. Read a few logs then got to searching, ummm I think I found it, sure enough log signed and 2 happy cachers.
Thanks to Makabre for the note. I have replaced container and new log/pencil. Happy caching!
For some reason I have decided that maybe I will make a good pirate and so today set out to find three caches that have more than 10 favourite points each. This will supposedly get me a clue for a map or something. I set up a route hoping that they would all be relatively easy finds. I had no trouble here at all just walked straight up to it. So happy that now I have earned myself 30 points for my pirate quest. Thanks Nottinghamers it's always a pleasure finding your caches.
Just returned from my holiday and catching up on the logs from my fantastic trip. Looks like a lot of effort went into making this hide. Well done. Only problem was lots of little black ants to be avoided. Signed log and left path tag. Thanks
Relief beyond belief.
I hate to think how many times that I have visited this fig tree.
I never have to visit it again. That feeling is so good.
I put it down to the time of year I have previously visited.
This was easily the best. No leaves and very few ants.
A great wee hide, thanks Nottinghamers.

Found this one in a bit of a sad state after recent flooding. Will need to be replaced. What a great spot though, TFTC
Great hide, well disguised. No pencil in tin, so left one. Also left a breast cancer tb for the next cacher. Tftc
This was third time lucky for me! I got a hint from the CO so this helped my search this time. This is so well hidden and well thought out. Thanks for the cache. Picked up TB.
I opted to park on the street and seek sustenance before hunting for this one. I spied some funky artwork on my travels from food to GZ.
Fuelled up with a mocha and choc muffin I was ready for what I was anticipating to be a lengthy and possibly fruitless hunt.
My GPSr wanted me on the grass, but that seemed unlikely. I continued to the likely spot and began the hunt. I upset quite a few ants as I was looking.
My luck was still with me and it did not take long to locate the well hidden cache.
Another favourite point for this one. [^]

Thanks to teamtinda for the note. Have replaced the log sheet and container. Happy caching!
On my way back down to Bornhoffen, I stopped off for a drink at the bakery/ cafe up near the cinema and was amazed at the amount of car park traffic up there for a Friday morning: it was crazy.
Nonetheless, I strolled down, through the other, much quieter car park and to the GZ.
Looks like coords are hard to focus here but I decided to stick with the most likely target. After about two months of no finds, I figured this one could be tough, and so it was. After many circuits and increasingly close examination, I finally discovered the secret. Wow, that is very well done, and a new one in my experience. TFTC (which I'd say was more than 2 for D today) and an FP from me.

PS I should mention that despite double bagging etc, the log paper was very wet. Sorry that I didn't have my usual supplies of silica with me to help out.
Our weekend actually started early travelling to Mt Warning and meeting with the Tough Mothers
A great hide! Log is damp. Our first find for today. Out with Remsjw and Jemillalucy.
By criky, guess what I just found,I must have scraped over that a hundred times, woop woop ,I'm happy. Thanks Nottinghamers.
I swear I'm getting blind and hopeless as my son tells me ,hadn't been caching in this area for a while but I thought I knew Nottinghamer tactics, but I spent an hour here and left scratching my head.TFTC.
A replacement for Tree Hugger, and that could only mean one thing........we won't be finding this cache in the first five minutes. So we were surprised when we found it in the next five minutes. Evilly brilliant and when we saw it, it made us appreciate how freakily lucky we'd been. TFTC, fav from us.
My second attempt: I looked around for a good 30 mins determined to find the cache but no joy. I did find the Gold Coast HQ of the ant kingdom though
I had a good look around for this one but couldn't locate it. I got a few strange looks from people parking in the car park so thought it was time to move on...
This one beat me today. Felt that it should be the fig tree but that was 10M away. We I zeroed out there wasn't much to search.
I needed to get out of the house today so I took my umbrella and decided I'd go and get a smiley face or two.
Maybe because of the weather my compass wasn't being exact as gz was in the middle of nowhere soI looked in obvious spots but alas to no avail. Will try again another day

Nice spot, how do you find these spots but the ants are everywhere, scratch the leaves and you are covered in them, kept me on my toes at least. TFTC
Thanks to rileyharper and Timandresa for their note. I have checked and found that the cache was in situ but was in need of some repair. I have fixed the problem and because the logsheet was very damp I have replaced it and sharpened the pencil! There was an abundance of ants in the area which I have tried to clean up but don't be surprised if they come back. Happy caching!
We think this may have been muggled. We think we found this cache but no log inside of it.
Think we found the cache - very clever hiding, but no log. Maybe the CO could check it to see?
I am so stumped by this one! This is my fourth search since I told Nh that tree hugger was no more! Would love another hint
Out doing some caches before going home to Brisbane. Came upon GZ and started looking, however it did not come easy to find this cache. When I found it , I was so, so, so close. Well set up cache and deserves a Favourite. TFTC
Snickersallan suggested we come over to Nerang to look for this Nottinghamer's cache as she had heard it was a nice tricky hide. Knowing many of NH's caches I was cautious but surprised myself when I noticed something a little different. Another FAV point from me!
Armed with an small hint from a geo friend we thought we knew where and what to look for but JooJoo57's keen eye spotted something totally different. Wow, what a well done cache, one of your best Nottinghamers, how do you come up with these great ideas? Definitely a fav point from me and TFTC
Well that was evil, even by your standards Mr Nottinghamers... loved it....when we finally found it of course. A FP from me TFTC
With a bit of free time in this area, decided to do a few caches, arriving here with Ms Wig, we searched for a long time, read the hint, read the logs, searched again... no joy! About to give up, decided to persist when something was revealed. Even though had seen this before, this was so well done, completely fooled us!!
Thanks Nottinghamers, favourite point for this one.

Find No: 4917. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at my brother's in Nerang, played bowls this morning at Musgrave Hill Bowlo with Kotara Flying Bowlers, filling in some time this arvo before going out to Food Fantasy at Jupiter's Casino for our niece's birthday, thanks for the cache !!
Out today with nature0nut to find a few caches in the area for our upcoming target of 2000. This one was on the list and was now in the crosshairs. Some easier, some harder, this one was a nice quick find today; the extra eyes always helps. Tftc
Out caching today with Cantcacheus2014. With a fair amount of caches to find; this one was the on the list. A huge variety indeed! This was a nice find. TFTC Nottinghamers.
Having found an Earthcache for International Earthcache Day we stopped in Nerang to find a couple of Nottinghammers' caches. This was yet another brilliantly crafted cache of the standard we have learnt to expect from the COs. We hunted around for a while before Mrs. Herbz read some previous logs and then we hunted round some more. More time went by until at last Mrs. Herbz spotted something a little different. Mr. Herbz did the prising and the container was revealed. Clever camo, loved it. TFTC Nottinghammers an FP from us.
I am catching up on my logs for some finds from a few weeks ago. My field note says "kookaburra" and I seem to remember a feathery fellow laughing at me as I tried to find this clever camo.
I eventually found the spot and all was good. Thanks for the cache Nottinghammers. Cheers!!

What a great hide!!!! Felt so close to giving up! I was already worried looking at the CO's name. But felt so satisfied finding it. Thanks!
We were just up the road near the Maid of Skier having lunch when I idly I began checking to see what caches were in the vicinity. I mentioned to the other half of the team that this one was close by. For some reason he suggested driving down rather than walking and this ended up being a bonus since it was useful to have the car close handy so we access to the car's tool kit. Put it this way, a stick didn't work, car keys weren't so useful, we ended up resorting to a tire lever to carefully pop off the camo. Memo to self: might be time to add a small screw driver to the caching kit.
The logbook was certainly nice and dry and we were rather pleased to be able to find a Nottinghamers cache in one attempt
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
It was International Geocaching Day today, so I caught the train down to the Gold Coast today to hang out with Bristracker and pick up some caches. This was the first cache of the day, as it was close to Nerang station. A previous visit had been cut short and was to no avail, but I was determined that we would get the cache today. We searched around for a while and Bristacker looked at previous logs and eventually I saw it, and knew it was the cache. Very cool . Signed the log and headed to the next cache.
Smilie #2647
A few hours to spare so we decided to chase up a few smilies around the Nerang area.
Another crafty cache worthy of a rarely given favourite point!
Spent about 5 minutes lurking & trying not to look too suspicious near the almost full carpark when Geo-mamma arrived to assist with the, so far unsuccessful, search.
It was only moments later that I called 'Found it!' LOL ...
Nicely crafted & placed.

Tftc Just an awesome hide. Nottinghamers get a favourite for this very clever hide. Found 6.8.15
Out and about with fotohotshot & our little miss' geobubs after playgroup today. Saw there were a couple in the area so we decided to grab them afterwards. As always Nottinghamers your caches are awesome, another favourite point from me. Thank you for the cache, I didn't even know this little parkland was back here.
18/7/15 whilst the son attends a scout event down here I thought I'd grab some caches. Realising I had found a cache by the same CO with similar conditions I expected I would be much quicker with this one. And I was. A nice tricky hide but I needed TOTT or risk damaging the camo, lucky I had some on my and the cache was found and log book signed. TFTC
Awesome hide. Like usual from nothinghamers. Favit point from me and photo taken for scrapbook. Tftc
Thanks to Brother Colin and IolantheK for the note. I have re-glued and stapled so hopefully it will stay safe for a while. Happy caching!

Early this morning, I picked up IolantheK. We set out to find a few caches on our way to an event this afternoon. I had a few selected that I needed for a challenge cache, but left the rest of the choices to her. This was the first that she chose. We parked on the road and wandered to GZ. After a short search, I spotted something a bit different and had a closer look. Hmmm....very clever. I havent seen this before. It was a bit of an effort to reveal the log, but, after returning to the car for a tool, we soon had the log in hand. Triple bagging meant that the cache log was nice and dry. After signing the log, we carefully rehid the cache as we found it.
Today there is an event on Mt Tambourine.
So I left early to find a few caches on the way.
Then there was the fantastic event.
Now to find a couple on the way home.
I have been to a similar sort of hide by this CO ... is this one similar[?]
Yep, soon spotted it.
The CO will need to bring some glue down as the camo is coming off of the hide.
Thanks for the cache.

Road tripping today with Selva Girls We set off at 7am today from north Brisbane and are heading to Mt Tamborine to attend an Event this afternoon. Some selected caches will be targeted along the way to help SG finish a Challenge cache, plus a few extras
Our first stop, and when I realised who the CO was, I knew we'd be in for some fun! Some of their hides are notoriously devious And I was not disappointed! Happily I have seen a similar one, and after I described that to SG, she soon spotted something out of place [^] but it sure took a lot of work to actually reveal the container Very neatly done indeed. And because of the triple bagging, the logbook was high and dry! The CO will need to bring some glue to secure the camo. TFTC, Nottinghamers. A favourite point for this one.

Geo Youngest Girl and 2 friends had gone to the movies at Nerang and we were picking them up afterward.
With them on board we just couldn't resist going a little further along the road to check this one out.
We found the drive way no problem but after we got to GZ that when our problems started!!!
With 5 pairs eyes looking (admittedly 2 sets were muggles) you would have thought we could have tracked this one down but I have to admit Nottinghamers you beat us on this one.
We really wanted to show the 2 muggles what caching was all about and what better CO to really give them a taste.
So after looking for ages, and with time running out, Geo Wife did a PAF and soon after the VERY SNEAKY hide was uncovered.
You have certainly out done yourself on this one, I don't know if we would have found it at least on this visit!!!!
There is nothing else for it but to award a favourite point!!!!
Thanks Nottinghamers TFTC SL

On the 15th anniversary of Geocaching I decided that a Nottinghamers hide was a perfect way to celebrate. I had EmBem with me and we made out way over. After the recent weather evemt the area was soden so we carefully stepped around and looked at the area. It took me a couple of minutes to notice something a little different. I thought It was a type of fungus at first but tuen realised the clever camo you have used. It was tricky to get to the cache but we managed it and the bags and container were drenched. The log was dey though. Good use of rubber bands. I replaced it with the bags and dried out the container so that it would be good for the next finder. A favourite point from us for a great hide!!
Woo hoo, whoo hoo, and clever oh! Mr Nottinghamer is up to his clever tricks again. Definitely worthy of another favourite point. This one had us going for a bit - I do admit. Very clever disguise as per your talents CO. We felt so satisfied after finding it. Thank you for the challenge! [^][^] Visited some travellers for miles.
[green]New caches are few and far between at the moment so it was doubly nice to see a new Nottinghamers cache published. I thought I was n the running for a ftf afterwork but a few corners before Nerang St I noticed the new log so I headed for home leaving it for another day. Congrats GCSteve.
Anyway before work today I swung by for a look. It wasn't the best time to be looking as a steady flow of people coming to work kept putting a stop to my searching but eventually I did manage to locate another clever hidden cache. You never cease to amaze me at the time and effort you put into your hides Nottinghamers. It would be just rude not to hand over another favorite point for this one.
Thanx again for a pleasurable find as usual.[/green]

Yay! My first FTF. Thanks for the cache.
Like the effort that has gone into this one and the cacher friendly location.
Tried to find Tree Hugger on the 28th March. Found the stump at GZ and looked around for something at eye level not realising lumberjacks had taken the cache and the tree as well.
