Hi there Scenic Routers.
This is the 2nd of 3 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 11:42:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.
The sheer number of prior DNF logs would suggest that this cache has been missing for quite some time.
Regards
Ian and Penny

We were heading home from Bathurst and spotted the gold panner, thought it would be a good spot for photos, then checked for a cache - of course there is. We started searching in -4 degrees, had no luck, so checked logs to see the several DNFs. Our frozen fingers were glad to retreat to the car.....
13084. Found during a run up through the Bathurst/Orange region with minniek.
We had pre-solved a lot of puzzles for this region so they were the main aim for the trip. Quite a number of nice Trads and Multis thrown in as well to make up a great weekend's caching ! This was the next stop for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and it was off to the next one.
Thanks again Scenic Routers !!

Headed out on a geocaching weekend through Bathurst and on to Orange with Fitzy_1965. We have pre-solved a number of puzzles and they were our main priority. Added in the odd multi & traditional along the way.

Found whilst staying at the Big 4 on a Camp Quality Camp. Had us guessing for a while, but eventually tracked it down.
Found quickly by GK3 he even asked hadn't we already got this one. Thought we got this many moons shotguns was after wags mega.
Anyway logged now maybe this is a new one. Tftc

Staying at the caravan park on our little road trip. Had a good day catching up with family visiting the motor museum and a slow lap of mt panorama in the motor home. Found this cache while waiting for a large muggle family to finish taking photos so we could look. They were none the wiser. TFTC
Last day at the caravan park. Spent today expliring Hill End, geohubby even did try some panning but was not as lucky as this guy, though he did find a tiger leech in his gold pan and luckily not attached to him. Did a few laps around Mt Panorama then back in time to do this cache before dinner. Log almost full so left a spare page for future cachers. TFTC.
We are sure we have been here before, a few years ago, and found a cache. This time it was simple find just where we would have placed it.
This one panned out fairly easily. TFTC Scenic Routers. Found 5/1/17 7:00 pm.

Found using the amazing "Cachly" app for iPhone. Full of great features to suit all cachers and no silly gimmicks.

Staying at the nearby caravan park for a few days, I took the opportunity to wander over and search for this cache. Quick and easy find, great hide. TFTC
After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.
Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.
I am pretty sure that I have found a cache here before!
Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.
Our first full day of caching had us weaving our way along the TRLT to a point where we completed the lower section of the series in one day. This half is contrastingly different to the other, but still very spectacular. By nightfall we’d made it into Bathurst where we continued with some night caching. Weary bodies and minds meant our night success rate wasn’t that good.
Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.
My 2nd find at this location

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.
The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.
Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

Geocaching aside there is nothing eighthknox and I enjoy more than visiting "big things" and i was a little annoyed that in all my past visits to Bathurst I had never been past here. Today we were able to kill two bids with one stone visiting a big thing and grabbing a cache. Unfortunately as with previous finders we found the part thatthe cache is most likely connected to but no cache. Luckily I had a spare bison in the car and were able to but a new temp cache in place. It will need a better log however. Hope this helps keep this one going TFTC
Been waiting for a day to clear up on the calendar to do the bolt up to Bathurst to start getting the cache numbers under control. Thirty caches for the day and only 3 dnfs. It will take a few future trips to really make a dint in Bathurst but as it's only my second visit to the town I'm quite impressed with not only the caches but a beautiful town and community. Can't wait to be back with the geokid! Thanks to all the cache owners.
Nanton34 added to our collection of Aussie big things at the spot and as a bonus there happened to be a cache near by. Or was there?! We found where others before us the device that kept the container in its hiding place, however for us we were fortunate for nanton to have a replacement container and a makeshift logbook allowing us to keep this guy alive. Well done nanton and tftc
It appears as its been muggled the line it still there but the cache is not attached so im logging as a found it, will sign when its replaced
Not sure how to log this as I believe I found the place but not the cache. Thin line still there but no cache.
Two days of intense caching with J+J.AU. Main target was the part of the road less travelled, but we ended up picking up a lot more caches. The Saturday was ideal caching weather and we moved pretty quick. still there were a few tricky parts of still wet "roads" we had to manage with the 2WD. Not getting bogged was a accomplishment at the end of the day! Sunday started good as well after a overnight in Bathurst, but soon the rain set in and became worse and worse. we were glad we were able to finish this part of our planning just shortly after lunch! Any wetter and a few of the roads we travelled would have become very trick without 4WD. Great weekend and lots of fun thanks to J.AU anfd thanks to all the cachers that put the caches out there!
As I can provide photo proof if neccessary. visited this one with a previous finder and only found the attachement part, not the cache!

Staying at the caravan park, we spotted this one and just had to grab it. Nice easy find, log is damp so may not show our log TFTC
DNF cache today after a good look about. Maybe just not the right kind of look today.
After jogging my memory I was able to re-find this cache. Access was ok despite the roadworks.
Having a break away from Darwin and travelling Australia with CAD - Our first find in Bathurst was very close to where we are staying Thanks Scenic Routers 4TC:)
Found it!! Took us a little while to find it but eventually got it (we're new at this). Didn't have a pen with us though so didn't sign. TFTC.
We drove towards NSW bush lands once again where we visited the Dunedoo Bush Poetry Festival. We have solved many interesting mysteries in preparation of our tour which took us to many beautiful historical places.
We stayed in Bathurst overnight where we looked for a couple of caches also.
We weren't able to find a Clean Up
Australia geocaching event in the area which I think is quite a pity as we as nature loving geocachers should be an example to all the others people.
Thank you

#3472- We were coming out from completing most of the final caches in the TRLT series when bikerbuddy mentioned this one had been reincarnated- so we stopped for a quick find. Its been so long since I've been out to Bathurst caching, I may need a few days to catch up. Thanks

When I saw this one on our route home, I really wanted to stop for it. The original Biggen was the first of this type of hide I'd ever found. I was so impressed with how clever it was at the time. Now of course I've seen many variations on it, but I still remember how wonderful I thought the first one was.
Nice to see a cache back here again.
Thanks

I remember finding another cache in this exact spot early on in my caching career. It was an easy find then and an even easier find today as we headed home from a few days out west. Thanks
As i had found the previous version of this cache, it was a really quick and easy find to claim my New Year's souvenir.
We had searched unsuccessfully for another cache today, so I'm giving this a favourite point to express my gratitude for being so easy.

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Noticed the “Big Thing”, detoured through the roadworks, stopped for a photo opportunity and was literally standing right next to GZ when I realised there was also a cache to find here. Good hide, biggen (sic) than expected.
Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Big4 Caravan park in Bathurst, enjoying the variety of hides in the district, second attempt at this after seeking assistance from J+J.au, can't believe we missed this before, heading home tomorrow (-1 expected tonight), thanks for the cache Scenic Routers!!

Another perfect spring afternoon for a drive around part of the TRLT trail with lgoody.
Not many muggles around as expected and some nice scenery.
A good trail so far and many more to go tomorrow.
Cheers from down south in Wagga Wagga.
