Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Two: Windsor to Cessnock (wrong direction, I know).Weather: SensationalSadly I dont have time to complete this series today, so Im settling for a one-off here after logging the letterbox cache up the road a little. It looks like rats have gnawed the edges off of the lid of the cache making it a little hard to open. Thanks for the cache and the interesting history teamMerlin.
TFTC smile19895 Out and about on a Sunny day on my way to Wollongong in a round about way picking up LGAs on the way signed as GS1947 on small logs Thank you teamMerlin for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Came along today to add some more smileys to the map of the Hawkesbury area. You just have to love geocaching, especially on Valentines Day. It was a good run and goingplaces2 came along for the ride. This cache was a successful find and the log was signed. TFTC.
missed this one the other day, a quick find

We were in the area and as we had time picked up this cache. TFTC Team Merlin. The 4Rods.
Found this ages ago along with 8 other caches. Thank the Lord for lists otherwise these wouldn't have been logged!
I joined Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a trip to Sydney to drop in on another Celebration Event. This time in the Hawksbury. We used up the rest of the day doing a series of Challenge caches near Penrith, including a bonus First to Find, and then some of the EG caches surrounding the event location. A long but exhiklerating day of caching.
Thanks for the cache teamMerlin

Headed Sydney way with fitzy_1965 and albida33 today.
We had seen the community celebration event a few weeks ago. I was keen to get to Ebenezer as my Australian family roots come from there so made plans to head north today. After a foggy start, it turned out to be a rather warm day compared to Canberra and surrounds lately.
On our way through Ebenezer, we decided to start doing this series of caches. My Ancestry Family Reunion is held in Ebenezer at the Church every 5 yrs. It got postponed from last year and has just been postponed again so nice to come up here regardless. My descendants, on my Australian side, were on the Neptune which was part of the Second Fleet. They are buried at Wilberforce cemetery.
Quick find here today. Thanks TeamMerlin

24,754. Found with minniek and albida33 during a run up to the Ebenezer region for a Community Celebration Event.
When we spotted another Community Celebration Event being held up at a Winery in the Ebenezer region, we decided to head up that way for a full day of caching. A foggy start from Goulburn had us soon burn through for what was a lovely day to be outside. After finishing off a bunch of challenge caches along The Northern Road - including a surprise first to find - we started doing the EG-Q series and other bonus caches along the way. They were all found without any real issues unless otherwise stated. Quick find here. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks teamMerlin !!

Found by Mary and David at 11:20. Picked all the wrong clothes for these few days away. Expected hot weather, not 20, cool and wet. Here for a family reunion lunch. Love the history and your research, so a FP added. Our thanks to teamMerlin.
Great day of caching near the Hawkesbury River. Started in Ebenezer with the AL, unfortunately very unsuccessful as the location service on my phone was struggling and could not fix on the wp's I needed. Luckily I also made a good plan for other caches so the day turned out productive. Weather was really good, about 20 with a little breeze and nice and sunny. Quick find

Day 1 of our roadtrip to Canberra and back, a recreation of one we did 3 years back, to now share with our youngest team member. With the Putty Road closed, we diverted through Sydney traffic (joy) and onto the (smoky) Bells Line of Road to Bathurst, our stop for the night. We managed 18 finds for the day, with just 1 DNF. A good start.
This one was spotted from the car (its hide anyway), we kept going enough to U-turn it, then nabbed it on the way out. TFTC!

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Vineyard for a short three day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Avina Caravan Park, and planning on exploring the areas around Vineyard, McGraths Hill, Mulgrave, Windsor, Wilberforce, and Ebenezer. And being the final weekend of the Cache Carnival (ends Monday) we will be looking to maximise our score on the Friends Leaderboard. Today we were heading up to Ebenezer and then to Australiana Pioneer Village at Wilberforce. This was our 7th find of the day, and 47th find of the holiday.
A nice quick "park & grab" after finding the nearby Letterbox cache. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Had taken note of the clue for the EG-Q Final Puzzle on our way in. TFTC teamMerlin.

#8917 - 14:40; I was headed north with Sol de lune to attend an event in the Hawkesbury and we stopped off for a few caches along the way. The day was very hot and peaked at more than 40 degrees, so the chosen caches for today were all located close to roads. This was one of the drive bys we collected on our way after we had passed through suburbia and were closing in on our destination. TFTC teamMerlin
Heading up to the Hawkesbury area to attend an Aussie Day event with LuckyL10n and the plan was to stop to grab a few caches along the way. We decided to find a few in this series as we thought some of the GZ would offer a bit of shade, compared to other areas along the way.
We found all but one of our intended caches, so no real problems. With the heat of the day, it was just about making the find and getting back to the car.
Thanks for this one teamMerlin....no doubt we'll find more in the series another day. Cache all good.

I was on my way to a New Year's day event at the Tizzana Vineyard and decided to leave early from home so I could pick up some of the many caches in the area.
Many of the finds were related to the Ebenezer GeoQuest series, but as I did not manage to visit all of the 25 caches, I definitely will need to comeback for more geocaching in this beautiful area.
I did not see a post office on Post Office Road, but I did dins two caches with include Post Office in their names.

Another day OCW marj01. After a very early start from the eastern subs we arrived at Ebenezer at first light to commence the day. During the course of the day we visited 69 trads, 4 multis, 2 puzzle and 2 letterbox caches. With only a handfull of dnfs it was a successfull day, with the majority of the caches being found in a reasonably short time. Thanks to all the COs for hiding and maintaining their caches and providing us with a fun day. Great views from here. Cheers oldmorty.
Out caching with @itsonlybarney.
Suffering from a bit of geocaching withdrawal after our geocaching holiday. We decided to take the opportunity of the good weather to grab as many caches as we could. We managed to get 25 finds for the day. TFTC.

**Total find count: 518**
After a week way from the searching for caches after our holiday, we needed to get out and about on a glorious day. With a total of 25 finds for the day, it felt good to make some finds after a week of no finds.
All caches were in excellent condition except as otherwise noted in my comments below.
------
A very quick and easy find once I worked out how to turn geomobile around on the narrow road.

#3582 Nice easy find on a hot Saturday morning. Many thanks to the CO **teamMerline** for another local cache for the rest of us to hunt down and enjoy.
After stopping at the Post Office Letterbox to complete my mailing obligations I continued down the road to this site.
There is cetainly no sign of the historic site here today, but reading the history of the movement of the post office around the Ebenezer area was very interesting.
I definitely agree that this site would have been very inconvenient and difficult to access for locals in the early 1900s before the advent of the car.
The cache was a quick find. Signed the log and visited some TBs then headed back up the road making a quick stop to collect the information for the final puzzle.

In a bit of a rush to get to our 4pm meeting but still have 6 to go so thankfully this was a quick find.
I'm working in the area for a few weeks.
Having finally caught up on logging
My past finds, I was eager to collect some more caches from around this region while I'm out here.
I parked just across the road, and i could quite easily spot GZ. This was a quick easy find, especially since the camouflage was not properly in place.
SLTNLN then replace the camo so as to hide the cache.
Find: 394
4th of 8 finds for today
0 DNFs for today
Cache: in good condition
Log/Logbook: In good condition with lots of room left.
