I'm going to have to take this up with the Council as they keep removing this geocache! And I'm firing the cache guardian from Team Spider.
It disappoints me to log a DNF, however our search was foiled by a rather cranky huntsman protecting his lot from 4 eager geo-kids!! Will head out again in calmer circumstances!
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Third for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Over in the valley to tackle the dreaded Christmas crowds and get our festive shopping all done and dusted. Thankfully wasn’t quite as busy as we expected, but still welcomed the chance to have a break from it all and take a nice walk through this park. mr2max spotted something straight away and says “I wonder”.. and sure enough! A clever hide in a great area. SL TFTC
Today I had a bit of time to find a cache while my wife was busy nearby. Went to GZ and noticed something out of place and sure enough there it was. Went to sign log but the pen wasn't working so I took a photo of the cache which I will send the CO. TFTC
At the reserve today to kick a footy in the sunshine and decided to conduct a maintenance check on the cache. All is well, it's been well looked after by all finders (thank you!) and is ready for more visits!
What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Found by Mary & David at 1726. Our last for the day to round off our tally. Decided to come early for your CITO on Sunday and clean up a few caches in the area. Garden tick, housework tick. With her Scottish background, M certainly heard the story before. Had half expected a cache with a medical or pharmaceutical theme. What a superb house you live in! A FP for a fun find. See you on Sunday. Our thanks to Mummy Short Legs.
Out Geocaching with Silkyie. Third find of the day. Very interesting hide. Thanks.
After caching the ATOH Trail in Traralgon over a week ago we took the opportunity to head out to Traralgon again today. We had a few things to do around town and there were some caches we had not got to on the last trip.
This cache has been on our map for some time, but we just haven't been organized or home for long enough to get out and search for it.
We parked nearby noticing that the trees around the nearby mansion have grown quite a bit since our last visit to the area.
A short walk to GZ and then a bit of a search finally turned up the cleverly hidden cache. Excellent camo.
A favourite from us.

A caching day on my own while Petal is at work, so I headed for Traralgon again to get a few more from what's available, this being one of them.
A nice easy find, thanks Mummy Short Legs for the placement here.

Finally found it, I was barking up the wrong tree
Very clever, and must’ve been a bit of work.
Thanks.
Very clever, and must’ve been a bit of work.
Thanks.
Two old blokes think we’ve found it. It’s very faded if it is it, we’re not sure.
But we’ll claim the find

Finally finished construction and it's back in place. Sincere apologies for the delay.
Was luckily enough to be over in traralfon when I was notified it had been enabled again. I was pleasently surprised at what I found as I thought I knew exactly what I was looking for after a few unsuccessful attempts.. Very appreciative of the time and effort gone into this one. Thanks msl awesome cache )
My apologies! I intend to purchase a replacement part at the November MEGA event and will have the cache up and running soon thereafter.
Hmm, entire cache and camouflage has disappeared. Area around gz and most of the park has had significant pruning and planting work so I suspect muggling. Will manufacture new cache.
Had the exact location within a few minutes.....even near touched it. Then it went downhill from there and got lost. Lucky for the help of @bigrobv back on track and found it. Trust your instincts.
After reading through the logs I thought I'd be spending a fair while looking for this one, I found it rather quickly which to be honest, was by complete and utter accident, I won't explain how as that would be too much of a spoiler for others looking. A really great hide and very very sneaky, thanks for the hide I really liked it
That is an impressed old manor over there, I was picturing what it must have been like here when it stood alone here. This was a very impressive hide, it was very cleverly constructed and I like the hint too, I had a chuckle at that when the penny dropped.
Thanks for placing this cache and bringing me to this lovely park.

Brilliant hide if I had any favorites left this would have received it TFTC The CKS 8th March 2017
Love the hide and love the name and the hint!! Not some hot loving the huge 8 leg guardian though
Wow. After hunting for about 20 mins looking through old logs we got the little guy. The GPS was indicating in between 2 locations. Looked at the most obvious one, it wasn't that one! After looking through old logs thought we knew what we were looking for, but not quite. A sneaky hide though neither belladekka or I could figure out the hint. Thank you for a head scratcher!
Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Some cows crossing the road on the way to this cache gave us a giggle! A man was flying a kite nearby but walked off once we started to walk in the park. Very clever hide. Took a while to find. TFTC
Had to really put the thinking caps on here. Couldn't work out the hint or the positioning of the cache. After saying the hint several times out loud the thunder struck and we quickly had the log in hand. DUH!!!
We were held up by some SirLoin on the hoof crossing the road on the way to the cache. Out and about today with misschief18 and Bentley TB

Great cache! Just new to this so first one that was camouflaged for me, took Mr3 on his first treasure hunt TFTC
House being built is between 50 and 100 metres west the cache. The cache is unaffected by the construction work.
Hi Bunjil, The cache is well on its way construction-wise, and should be up and running ASAP. I'm very sorry for its continued absence - babies get in the way of hobbies.
I'm very sorry about the continued absence of this cache, it will return, I promise.
Update: cache maintenance almost complete, will be back up and running shortly.
Great hiding spot! Assisted by heavy winds which revealed the cache. Put back, hopefully stays put. Tftc.
Storm is rolling in but I've got another 40 minutes til my next client meeting so let's grab a cache. Hope the weather is better on their wedding day in January!
