We had a great day finding caches along this road and this is one we found. Thanks to the previous finders for making this one easy for us to find. All good with the cache, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Nedandmrskelly for this one.
Passing through on our trek somewhere picking off a few caches on a break from towing.
Stopped on the side of the road not realising there is an area (albeit overgrown) that we could have pulled in to. Had a bit of a scout and finally located the cache container up the middle of the log, we could see it but couldn’t pull it out through the little gap so between the two of us and a few bendy sticks we managed to push it back to the opening. There seems to be a few missing names? The cache is now in the open area of the old log under a piece of bark ready for the next team to find.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world
Log signed in first open spot with stamp

It was definitely there, but retrieval was a whole different story. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 113. Lotus Creek to Marlborough. I got moving fairly quickly to get the twenty or so army caches I had left to do today before leaving Lotus Creek. That all went smoothly, and then I returned to the Marlborough series. That is a bit up and down these days. I saw some very interesting caches and a few odd locations. I then settled into the Marlborough pub caravan park for a quiet afternoon and a dinner in the pub.
I think this should have been a quick roadside cache, but I failed. I hope it is there somewhere.
Thanks.

In the area today as I head north and picking up caches along the way and this was one of them. Started at Marlborough Rd and did the loop finishing at St Lawrence and then back to camp at Marlborough. A great adventure!

Found by Mary and David at 14:45. More partying here too, but we found the cache this time. Delighted to spot a large koala snoozing up high in a nearby gum tree. Earlier, we'd seen a couple of magnificent Wedge tailed eagles getting stuck into some road kill, and watched as they took off when they heard us approaching. Our thanks to Nedandmrskelly.
I walked too far into the scrub, looking here and there. Saw a funny shaped cactus and poked around in the rocks and logs to no avail. I turned around to walk back towards the car and a glint of reflected sunlight caught my eye. Ah ha! Sneaky. I was lucky though. Had the sun not caught it I probably would have missed it even though it was basically eye level. SL TFTC
Whoops...ignore last note. That was for Marlborough 10! I was daydreaming and drove straight past this one and did 10 first and came back to this one. Easy find and no creepy crawlies to be seen. TNLN SL TFTC
On my way to Barcaldine for QOGM 2018 . Left Nanango at 0225 and this was the next stop of the day. Good quick find. Going to Rockhampton to meet up with RoddyC and Mrs RoddyC some time this afternoon then heading to QOGM 2018 via the coast and across to Clermont. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and Micro log sheets/books to save space on the paper as I tend to write on the big side. Apologies for boiler plate logs as I have a lot to write up. TFTC Nedandmrskelly
We are heading to Barcaldine to attend the event and detoured a couple of hundred kms to do this loop of caches. Varied scenery and hides made it an intersting day. We left Yaamba at 12 noon and got back at 6.30pm. It was a bit of a rush towards the end as we could see we would run out of day light. Thankyou Nedandmrskelly for placement of this cache series and adding to our enjoyment of the area
We came across your cache, Nedandmrskelly, on our way with youngoldfella, caching towards this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.
Another good cache but not quite at coords.

So decided to take the detour to the old highway
and grab a few more caches in this series along the way.
Quick stop.
All good here.

On our way home after a fantastic week on "Lazyitis" and some wind, rain and thunderstorms.

Road Trip Day 3: Rockhampton to Mackay. I was not going to be able to do all caches along this road, so I mostly stopped for ones where it looked like I would not have to go through long grass (or rubbish...). Some interesting hides along here. TFTCs Nedandmrskelly.
Heading to Marlborough this morning,
I stopped at number nine

Had a very enjoyable, at time geo challenging afternoon along this road find ( and sometimes DNF) caches along the way. What beautiful country this is.
Lunch stop. Tho I may have been here a bit longer than it takes to peel a banana. Satellite was doing a jive here. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Did a swap and signed log. Tftc

Out on the road trip with the crew from Mackay. Great day finding some very interesting caches. Apologies for the repeated logs, but there were so many finds today.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
An alternate road with a string of caches
Very little traffic and plenty of parking made this a pleasant alternative to the Bruce hwy.
Many of the caches where creative, most with excellent coordinates, another plus for this route.
Sorry about the copy-paste logs
Thanks for the cache

A cache trail is all the incentive we needed to bounce along this neglected road on our way home. They say variety is the spice of life and we have certainly had it today.

Found this interesting series and appreciate the variety of containers and different hides. Thanks for a good caching day. TFTC.
Gotcha !!! Found all 17 in the series today. Great to see new ones in an area that was bare. A fav point from me for each of them. Many different styles of hide. TFTC

Multiple cache finds on this lovely day heading south, after 3 weeks of fun in the sun. We are heading back to the Gold Coast slowly. What a fun FTF for us we had spotted these last night and felt for sure we would miss out on the first smile. We don't chase them and always miss out on the fun experience of seeing our handle on the first line. This one was nice. Left us with a big smile. Thank you for all your work and accuracy making finding so easy. We are having so much fun on this lovely road. Thank you. Left Tag Took FTF
