Found the parking spot and abled down the track for a quick find. A lot going on in this area with a wind farm development. Thanks for another cache.
Couldnt get the campers up this track & no pulling over so had to give it a miss ..
We had a great day finding caches along this road and this is one we found. A little detour up and a great view at GZ. All good with the cache, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Nedandmrskelly for finding this hiding spot.
Passing through on our trek on a long and bumpy road picking off a few caches on a break from towing. Took a pic of the old car that has come to grief long ago.
Lots of roadworks going on nearby.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 113. Lotus Creek to Marlborough. I got moving fairly quickly to get the twenty or so army caches I had left to do today before leaving Lotus Creek. That all went smoothly, and then I returned to the Marlborough series. That is a bit up and down these days. I saw some very interesting caches and a few odd locations. I then settled into the Marlborough pub caravan park for a quiet afternoon and a dinner in the pub.
With road work just up the road, and my van on, I walked along the dirt track from the main road. Seeing a rusty car coming up, I was a bit worried, but the cache is elsewhere and I soon had it signed.
Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly

Our journey continued south today with goingplaces2 as we hunted down some more smileys to add to the collection. TFTC.
Came along again today with ilook4geo. This time it was an easy find - don't know what happened last time. Thanks for placing this cache go to Nedandmrskelly. All was in good order.
We are loving the views as we drive along .This is our first time on this road,. Tftc
After finding a nearby cache, I headed to this one. A quick find and sign and I was on my way again. TFTC
In the area today as I head north and picking up caches along the way and this was one of them. Started at Marlborough Rd and did the loop finishing at St Lawrence and then back to camp at Marlborough. A great adventure!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Found it with pippahicup. Awesome view. Would never had thought of going up there.
On the second leg of a GC trip with Drennostar on our way to a wedding. On our way to Sarina via the back roads.
Great view from here!
Replaced the zip lock bag for weatherproofing

On our way home from our TL21 four day caching tour heading back to the Burdekin from Yeppoon. Amazing what is on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. TFTC
Had a 1 night stopover at the free camp near Marborough so I went out in the morning to find this and a few other Marlborough series caches. This was one I found before moving on up the old Marlborough stretch. TFTC
We drove right to cache then had to reverse back down as nowhere safe to turn around but easily done.. great view!
TFTC smile 8246 out and about with miss Millie geo dog having a great time on our way home after having Christmas and New Year with 84 year old sister, detour to Middlemount to go to Emerald
Thank you, Nedandmrskelly, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Heading to Sarina via the scenic route, stopped for this one, looks like the nearby lookout is a bit of a rubbish dump, thanks for placing and

Found by Mary and David at 14:05. We had been concerned about possibly having to stop with double white centre lines, then all was revealed. Strange grass trees here. Must be the wind. A FP for the view. Our thanks to Nedandmrskelly.
On my way to Barcaldine for QOGM 2018 . Left Nanango at 0225 and this was the next stop of the day. Good quick find. Going to Rockhampton to meet up with RoddyC and Mrs RoddyC some time this afternoon then heading to QOGM 2018 via the coast and across to Clermont. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and Micro log sheets/books to save space on the paper as I tend to write on the big side. Apologies for boiler plate logs as I have a lot to write up. TFTC Nedandmrskelly
We are heading to Barcaldine to attend the event and detoured a couple of hundred kms to do this loop of caches. Varied scenery and hides made it an intersting day. We left Yaamba at 12 noon and got back at 6.30pm. It was a bit of a rush towards the end as we could see we would run out of day light. Thankyou Nedandmrskelly for placement of this cache series and adding to our enjoyment of the area
We came across your cache, Nedandmrskelly, on our way with youngoldfella, caching towards this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.
Took us a while. All good.
Log signed and cache replaced at 9:43 AM on September 18, 2018. TFTC.

Another quick trip to Rocky
Had some time to kill on the way home ...
So decided to take the detour to the old highway
and grab a few more caches in this series along the way.
Ventured up the track
admired the views out over the landscape [^]
and found the cache
All good here.
Thanks for the cache.

Heading north for a week of sailing and relaxing in the Whitsundays for our 30th anniversary. Of course we had to cache along the way.
On our way home after a fantastic week on "Lazyitis" and some wind, rain and thunderstorms.
Nice and green after the recent rains. Fantastic views from GZ. But my heart did sink when I saw the nearby rusty wreck on the way in, thinking, oh no, not again.
Cheers

Amazing view especially when it doesn't seem like you climbed up anywhere. Had to read logs then thought then looked - for an easy find. TFTC
Over shot the pullover on this one. Found a place to turn around and went back and being slow the others beat me by 10 meters again. Ah well. Tftc
Having spent a great time in the Whitsundays, we are now on our way back home. With our caravan. Stopping for walks and smilies. Tftc
Beautiful views!
Road Trip Day 3: Rockhampton to Mackay. I was not going to be able to do all caches along this road, so I mostly stopped for ones where it looked like I would not have to go through long grass (or rubbish...). Some interesting hides along here. TFTCs Nedandmrskelly.
Once I scrambled up to this one, I realised there was a much easier way to get there (and probably a safer place to park!)

Wow !! Nice views from the top of the range here [^]
Worth the stop even without a cache to find
But wait !!
There is a cache to find
So off I toddled along the overgrown track.
After 10 minutes I had found nothing cache like at all [:o]
So I read a few previous logs.
A litmus test eh ??
I cracked open a can of fizzy cola,
which is no doubt slightly acidic,
and stood around for a while looking at the scenery.
Half the can was gone,
when I spied something sus in the scenery
Oh yeah !! Nicely hidden [^]

Had a very enjoyable, at time geo challenging afternoon along this road find ( and sometimes DNF) caches along the way. What beautiful country this is.
Found it. But it wasn't easy even with a gargantuan hint from CO at the duck dash a few months ago. This one is a litmus test, "are you a cacher or not" would be my pick if a comp was run to rename it. But it is such a beautiful spot to wander about the frustration barely takes hold....much... tftc. This is a terrific cache. Log signed, all is well here.
Having spent what seemed like hours on the Internet organising and downloading PQs for this area, it was great to get out on the caching trail again today. (I had forgotten to tell Little Red Riding Hood, aka my GPSr, about the caches along yesterday's route! ) We camped down on the Isaac River overnight and set off about 8:30 this morning to head to Dululu on the back roads as far as possible.
Pa wasn't too sure we'd be able to get the big rig off the road, but luckily for is, there wasn't a problem. In fact he reversed up well away from the road while I went in search of the GZ.
Little Red Riding Hood , aka my GPSr, wasn't very helpful at first so I gravitated towards the most obvious hidey hole. Wrong!! After searching all around, I decided to have another look at something that caught my attention. Bingo! I felt rather foolish for not recognising this cache immediately, as I have used 2 of these myself to hide a cache. Will award a fave for the view and the cache itself.
TFTC SL as SG as I often do in small caches.
Oh yes and we had morning tea here to enjoy the view.

Hmm, I don't think I'm cacher enough yet to operate off grid. Dnf today but I'll give it another go another day.
Parked up the cookie mobile and headed back for the cache. Ratdog and I have been enjoying our drive this afternoon with some light rain while driving but not while out of the car that in its self was amazing.
As we got closer to GZ I was going to veer over to what we assumed was the cache hide when I checked, seems I was actually wrong.[:o)]
Easy find on the cache and long quickly signed.
Fav point from us today for the series, guess we will be back for those last 3 we DNFed.

Out on the road trip with the crew from Mackay. Great day finding some very interesting caches. Apologies for the repeated logs, but there were so many finds today.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
An alternate road with a string of caches
Very little traffic and plenty of parking made this a pleasant alternative to the Bruce hwy.
Many of the caches where creative, most with excellent coordinates, another plus for this route.
Great view here, that is worth a FP
Thanks for the cache

Theres nothing more frustrating when previous logs say easy find and your still scratching your bald spot after twenty minutes. A great spot for lunch though.

Arrived near GZ but unfortunately it then started to rain, so we decided to give it a miss.
We really thought this one would be on the old rusty car nearby. Such stunning views from up here.
Gotcha !!! Found all 17 in the series today. Great to see new ones in an area that was bare. A fav point from me for each of them. Many different styles of hide. TFTC
What to do on Sunday afternoon???, caching i thought! Saw a heap of new caches up the old Marlborough Sarina Hwy so after approx 460km round trip i picked up 18 including several FTF of which i have not found one for 6-8 years!!! TFTC
My 2nd first to find for the day - very well disguised cache and great views from up here also.
