On a month long road trip of the North Island from the UK, we stopped for this one on our way to New Plymouth. A beautiful sunny but windy day and a fantastic drive. TFTC.
#9632. A good day to explore more of Waitotara and its surrounding areas. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Travelling from New Plymouth to Taumaranui, via Wanganui - and picking up caches along the way Tomorrow we're going Jetboating! Whoop whoop! Evryone else was travelling directly there, but as I had several hours work to do in Hawera I decided to come this way instead. What I didn't consider was just how far it was! Still it was a fun journey, and cool to see smiley faces all the way down the coast.
Really really dark along this road this evening! And these things are so so so so so so so so so hard to search even in normal light. Hope the owners of the property didn't mind me being out front with my torch! Must have looked weird!

Cache soon found with no problems, and retrieved the trackable which has been residing here swapping it with one that has been travelling with me for a while. Many thanks

During our vacation in New Zealand we also did some geocaching. We already found geocaches placed on the year 2000. Now we are heading to Whanganui and there we also did some caches. We found some and also didn't found some. But we had a lot of fun, and that is what geocaching ment to be.
supasi hartelijk dank voor het leggen en onderhouden van deze cache.

Only just finished logging the 100+ caches from the weekend and am shattered. But now to start on the ones we desperately grabbed last Tuesday to qualify for the Skindo 250 finds in February! Thank god for working part-time. Coerced hubby to come and put the pedal to the floor. I should be at home getting ready for going to Wellington tomorrow for work. Never enough time! Lol, hahahahahahahaha - hubby spotted this quickly and went for the grab. He didn't oink or baa but he sure cockadoodledoolded as it was sitting under a very nasty electric wire that sure bit him. Well zapped. So PLEASE make sure you son't send the kids to get this one - it bites. TFTC. I will give it a favourite for giving me some entertainment lol.
Looks like we are doing a slow trip back to NP, kids are still going strong, tftc supasi
Took a few minutes to find in the rain. We used to come here as kids heaps so it was nice to come back. TFTC
Always wanted to bring grandchildren here but unfortunately they are not with us today. Log full so have put in a piece of waterproof paper. SL TFTC
Really needs new log. Have put in a piece of waterproof paper as a temporary log.
A nice easy find here to break up my journey north. I didn't hear any oinks or cockadoodledoos while I was here but there was a lot of the other going on.
Took the long way home after the Mega. finding lots of caches in new areas. TFTC
On a road trip up to Stratford so took the opportunity to grab some caches along the way. Seemed to be following *orsome4some* as this was the second cache that we had found signed the same day by them. A quick find at GZ with things being a bit quieter at this time of the year. TFTC.
Third find for the day while heading up to Taranaki. Nice quick find. Would call into the oink, bar, another time. TFTC.
We live to visit here and never realized there was a cache hidden here till recently, so as we passed through today we stopped to check it out....a nice easy find for Miss 7...tftc
Found on our way back to New Plymouth after a day of geocaching in Wanganu. Thanks
On our way home from a day trip to Wanganui with Casey2201 and Missymoomee from the Naki. Satellite picture took me to the fence but wasn't there. Found in the end. Cheers
Found on trip to Wanganui for the weekend. Needed to stretch my legs. No erstwhile animals in sight. Thanks for the cache.
Well this was my early mothers day gift - one driver for the day to allow me to grab some caches, roughly 21 grabbed in total and home by 6pm - wasnt sure what we were looking for based off the cache name, soon spotted where we needed to stop, didnt go in and made a quick find before anyone came back to the cars that were parked. tftc
I know that it's really a pity that I have not enough time to visit Taranaki area in this holiday because I've heard a lot of good things about this area. But I'll work very hard on visiting beautyfull NZ again, because I really fell in love with it. But one of my personel targets was to find at least one geocache in every of the nine district of North Island. So I drove from Whanagui westwards and right behind the border I was glad to find this little one.
Thanks a lot for the cache.

A quick find in passing, I was a little doubtful of where the property boundary actually is though.

This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Quick find while heading back to Wellington after an overnight trip up to new Plymouth, TFTC supasi, #8484
We were heading towards Whanganui, so the biggest challenge was crossing the road to get to the cache. Quickly found thanks to the helpful hint.
We had decided we could do one more drive by on our way to Wanganui as it was getting late and we had to find the Motel where we had booked. This was it and it was a quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC
#10458. We didn't have time to stop very often, but then again there aren't many caches on this stretch of road, so we did stop for quite a few of them. TFTC.
The hint was a bit confusing so we thought way to complicated and it took some time to find this easy hidden container. Yeeha!
TFTC!
TFTC!
Quick park and grab as others there too.

It's been years since I last interupted a journey with a stop here. After attending the 2015 GIFF event in Palmerston North, stopped here for an easy find. Do they still do Devonshire teas here. Shame it was too late in the day anyway. TFTC
Great find on my road trip to the Naki. The sheep were very interested in what I was up to. Nice camo.
Nice quick stop - boys were very interested in the eggs on the ground near where we parked - tftc
Out and about for the day and was near here, so popped on in with Jesserfly and a passenger, nice quick pick up, co ords bang on and contents dry and in order.
Saw a couple of critters roaming around, did not enter but saw some activity within.
Cheers
