A short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches.I started in Traralgon on the TCT trail, then onto the TST trail.Parked near here, and rode the caches backwards to 1.5.This was the first. Thanks, Robmc.
Out with Supaseeker and Shumba7 on the geoscooter, geoeuc and geoelectric bicycle. TFTC.
Found two caches by this one after I pushed the first one we found too far into the tree.
TFTC took out a newbie and got his first caches, supa seeker was on his pedal assist bicycle, Algae on his electric unicycle and me on my new electric scooter, we smashed out the series except 2 we wouldn’t find. Great morning out:-) ️

Really busting for a wee and finally found a sheltered spot - sorry if this isn't appropriate
So today I had to take our camper trailer to Traralgon to get bike racks fitted before our trip away. A trip somewhere different equals geocache search in the area and discovered several options but chose the Traralgon South Trail. Off I went on my bike "Olive" who is a gravel bike and coped well with this track bar the last couple of geocaches in this series so we just walked a little. Great track and a comfortable distance. However couldn't believe how busy this road is - made it difficult at times to pick a free moment to retrieve and return cache. Loved the variation of caches and the joy of cruising on my bike. Thanks for setting up a really enjoyable geocaching experience valleycaching. I really enjoyed my afternoon

Very nice camo here.
Log is getting a bit tatty, but will do for now.
Could easily see the sculpture!
TFTC which was “crafty”

The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so I decided to head out for a day out of the house and a nice walk along the TCT trail, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves, sanitizer and mask I ventured out, I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. Took a minute or two to locate, paper was wet but I managed to sign RA.
Thanks valleycaching for the cache.
Thanks valleycaching for the cache.
A favourite for the awesome camo on this geocache! Log completely soaked however, so unable to sign. Great to be finally out geocaching again!
Got the family up at 5.30 this morning to head out to Traralgon to do the Parkrun, Parkrun event, some breaky and some local cache. The weather was terrible today, sideways rain and wind with s chill in it. Anyway after breaky I decided would brave some of this trail alone, the fam were happy to sit in the car and play tech. Told them to come find me in an hour, and off I went. Was a nice little trail, and didn’t see a sole! Deeeeer... only one idiot out there today. Thanks for the fun.
That was a really neat hide. Had me foooleed for quite a while too. As I continued to look further and further from my calculated GZ, I kept coming back to an obvious object. My torch light didn’t show up anything and then I finally spotted it, right under my nose. A bit of prying to convince it to come free from its spot and it was mine. Looking through. A couple of the previous found it logs was anything but helpful and according to the log sheet inside the cache, they didn’t find it anyway!
Marshall’s Geelong found this cache today with LCASS on our Gippsland adventure,
Easy enough to find. Good cammo!

Thanks for the opportunity to collect so many smiles and have a pleasant walk. The road was very busy on this Easter Monday. TFTC
Some times you just have to walk away and then walk back again to see what you need to see
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Tehrh for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Nearly missed this one, but then I spotted the familiar shape of a mint tin. This container's seen better days though. TFTC
We had not intended to do any of this trail today as our plans revolved around the Strzelecki State Forest, but we found ourselves close by and decided to give a few of them a try. SL TFTC

After exploring some towns along the South Gippsland Highway, we turned north toward Traralgon and decided to pick up the caches in this series before heading home. Some took longer than others but all caches were found by mid to late afternoon after some nice walks. Thanks for the cache, and the series valleycaching.

This one was a bit tricky to retrieve until I realised that I could also access from the side.
I wouldn't mind taking the motorbike for a spin around these tracks
Today, I headed down the highway to Traralgon to attend the Parkville event and now that the event is over, it was time to find a few more caches while I was in the area.
I had now headed South to see if I could complete the TST trail on my bike before having to head for home.
There are some tricky hides and some straight forward ones as well and then there were a few that I just could not see at all but I didn't have my correct glasses with me for cache searching which didn't help but in the end I didn't do too bad.
**Thanks to valleycaching for placing this cache.**

Was poked in too far, got it out with a stick! Feature looks more like a triceratops, according to my 8 yr old nephew
Tftc. Lots of similar sculptures but the light and approach was just right so a quick find which was a relief following an hour's fruitless search on the Moe rail trail last night.
I went out with the scouts we found 5 of 7 caches we went with the help of eight torches pretty good effort.
1st Yinnar Scouts decided to do a night caching session, so we meet at the car park with 4 Scouts, 1 Cub and leader’s syllies and Shane280, to find some caches along the trail. We looked for 7 caches with touches in the dark and found 5. Thanks for the cache trail.
this was the first one for the night pritty tricky to find in the dark but finally a scout yelled Foutn this one.

It certainly is an amazing-looking object. Kike a dragon's head or something. TFTC!
**# 20394** Found on a ride along the TST while staying nearby.
Not many muggles around today and a good variety of hides again.
Had trouble here and had to PAF and eventually after widening the search.
Thanks for the cache valleycaching,

Nature creates all sorts of amazing works of art. The home of the cache was indeed quite sculptural and I luckily spied the cache while admiring the artwork. TFTC
Our day to head out on the TST finally arrived. We organised ourselves by parking at the recommended places and then walking off in either direction to find the caches. It still meant quite a bit of backtracking and involved a lengthy walk, but it was a lovely day to be out in the area. Even saw an echidna, the biggest we have ever ween at the final cache!
We should have brought the deadly treddlies as this would have made the whole process much easier and it was a great day for a ride.
A good variety of hides and some bigger caches gave us the opportunity to drop off a number of Travel Bugs we had collected on our recent travels up north. Hope some other cachers are able to pick them up and move them on their way.
All in all a good, successful day out.

Out for a maintenance run today. This one appears to have gone missing or been replaced too well by a finder. Replaced container with a camo eclipse
A new waterproof log is in place.
Happy hunting.

Even with both of us looking this one failed to show itself. Oh well onwards we go
We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! Unfortunately this 2.5/2 didn't want to show itself - too tricky for us today!
Thanks for the hunt anyway valleycaching (F=4 H=30).
Beautiful day for caching day.
I will come back again with ride the bike as I dont finish.
Excellent hides.
Bit searched but glad got it.
fav from me
Found it

Our journey of the TST came to a bit of a halt here because it took a while to find but after reading the logs and Geodad's eyes we were able to come up with the right angle.
Thanks, Silkyie.
Thanks, Silkyie.
Omg this is the toughest one by far so far. Endless opportunities for a hiding spot. I literally said "I give up..." and all of a sudden geo wife says "found it..." must have had my hands in and around it for 20 mins. Just didn't look from the right angle. TFTC
frmen1 and I ran away from home for the weekend with the view to target this road and surrounds. We walked the 14kms (there and back), taking adequate water and food supplies with us. A great day for it. A quick find. Log has 7 spots left. Enjoying our walk. TFTC
We are on our regular Wednesday geocaching trip & today we are attempting to walk the TST both ways discovering all the caches on the way. Thanks to the CO's for setting up this well maintained trail.
We have given a Favourite listing to both the first & last caches in recognition of the trail as well as the odd worthy cache.

The nearby track was deserted and all locked up today, so I could happily search without fear of any interruptions. Thankfully I was in the correct spot to spy what I was looking for without an extensive search.
Thanks to valleycaching for placing this cache.

Next stop on the ride south
And something most definitely fitting the cache name was seen.
Now where's the cache ??
A few minutes later I finally tracked it down
