I called past this morning and found the cache in trouble.
I am disabling this cache for the interim and will try to get it back on line before Xmas.

A bit of a fruitless search for me this morning. Pußhed. Pulled. Poked. Prodded. Nothing revealed and had to call it quits when a bunch of hi-vis gangers started working on the other side of the fence.
Not a DNF. It's a try again at the next chance.

Staying in Geelong for a Friday afternoon wedding, always time for some sneaky finds before it all begins. I spent my morning cruising around inner Geelong, finding some really good caches. I think I've been here before, perhaps for during a Geelong Monopoly event in the past. This time I made the find after a short search around. The man himself (tackle_head) had one just like this in Altona back in the day - well done! Favourite point added. My thanks to Dog-gone for the cache.

We saw someone mention a reach for it. Well let's just saw we were trying twice our height before realising what it was and thinking "wow idiots"

So we read in earlier logs it's a bit of a stretch but we were stretching a bit too far so we were super excited once we found it and realised we didn't have to somehow try become elastigirl (soz bearded you're now a girl).
This will receive a fave point!

Almost a dnf same as others first place I looked but required a last look to find.
Worth a fave from me too. A quick read of the logs helped me here, and thinking about what would be reasonable. Great camo, should have picked it a bit sooner though. TFTC
Lots of cloud cover had our GPS pointing all over the place so we looked everywhere...well almost everywhere, we didn't find the tricky little cache. Lots of entertainment though so thanks. We'll be back.
We did have to PAF on this one, but so sneaky!!! We actually looked here first then thought "nooo it can't be" so started looking elsewhere! Well done on a very cheeky hide TFTC
We are on an LGA adventure/surprise visit to Adelaide from Melbourne for my Aunty's 80th birthday... via Swan Hill and Loxton! We chose this route so that we could find caches in a few of the LGA areas we have missing in Victoria for the Vic Polygon LGA Challenge cache and then we could also do some of the Wandering Hero caches from Loxton to Adelaide. After a few days in Adelaide we headed down to Hayborough for a few days, that whole area is so beautiful! After a few days there it was time to head back to Melbourne albeit a convoluted way again to be able to get 4 more LGA areas! We stayed the night in Horsham and now were heading to Geelong via Skipton (LGA Polygon of Corangamite) and Cressy (LGA Polygon of Colac Otway)
After12 days on the road, it's off home we go today but not before finding some local caches first! This was next on the list. Just as we arrived at GZ the ?Priest? came out of the gate and started loading his suitcase into his car, take of his suit jacket, etc so that was awkward!! I pretended to be on the phone until he drove off! Ok now we can search. GMelb actually spotted what he thought was the hide whilst we were waiting so he was on to it straight away. None the less it is a great hide and gets a fave point from us

Had a quick go at this one earlier in the heat of the day, but the terrain rating was certainly upped with a bee hive atop a pole nearby. Yikes! Luckily we were given a small hint at the events during the afternoon / evening, and it seems we were spot on the money, but geosis Phoebe haha forbade my retrieval. Returned here on the way home after dinner and vamp1blade was all over it. Outstanding camo, construction, and execution. Big fat fave point here, not forgetting to mention the informative cache notes as well - Geelong station is beautiful. Interesting to read of the very buried underpass. thanks for the quality hide Dog-gone - amazing! TFTC
You're a bit evil I think. I made the find actually pretty quickly. It kinda HAD to be there didn't it? Well the log is full up. I wrote my name sideways. A new log would be good. Mind you if people wrote their name smaller there'd be heaps of room left.
Pleased with my find, especially seeing as I navigated to the other side of the train tracks initially. But I did enjoy the trains rolling past on the other side while I ate my Boss burger and fries.
Tftc. A hard one for a few I reckon

Haha... When you narrow options down based on lots of favorite points you know it has to be clever.
Mega Weekend was apon us so off to Victoria we go... Plans have been in place for a while now to attend the Mega in Anglesea with the FurfacesLL ladies. So we did a heap of puzzle solving in the lead up in preperation as we just never know where we will end up on these adventures.
Flew out of Canberra Friday lunchtime and came home on Sunday afternoon, collected many caches across the weekend and ran into quite a few cachers, including some local Canberra ones [:p]
Well well well, that was a tricky tricky cache....... We searched and searched and searched and we were getting close to calling it quits, when I said, try this.......... and what do you know, we had cache in hand and all of us were slapping our foreheads lol. Well done, very well done. Fav point added.
Thanks for the cache Dog-gone [^]

Plans were made to head to another Melbourne Mega Event with Rapidlywild. We arrived at lunchtime after heading into the city to feed our other addiction we hit the trails on our drive down to Geelong. TFTC...this one was enjoyable and had us scratching our heads for quite a while. [8)]
Well, this hide was admittedly not quite as fast as our other Dog-gone find today. We started off looking a few metres away with no luck (what a surprise) but the GPSr finally decided to settle in and point us towards actual GZ. Eyes and hands were intially focussed on the incorrect elevation but once we widened our search area slightly, bingo!
This is definitely one we'll keep in mind to show muggles or recommend to new cachers to illustrate the type of clever hide that gets you thinking outside the Sistema.
Another favourite point from us.
Thanks Dog-gone

Caching along around the foreshore on a rare sunny day this winter. Enjoying a wide and enjoyable range of caches. Saw this one near by and with a number of favorite points to its credit, thought this would be worth a look. Roy street was not want we were expecting and there seemed to be nothing on offer here. Searched every likely spot and came up with nothing.
We decided to give up and frustrated with in coming up empty handed grabbed at the only thing I think I had not touched in the whole area. Low and behold I had a cache in my hand. And instantly know that this one was getting another fav point from us.
Thanks heaps Dog-gone for a great hide. TNLN.

Helped autumntree find this one. Took a little. May have broken the above but it's fine.

Bought backup today (AutumnCS) as geokid 1 and I had tried this one before to no avail. Waited until afternoon so the church goers were gone. Gps settled in a different spot this time. AutumnCS is more likely to poke and pull things than I am so he made the find. TFTC you sneaky so and so.

A case of de ja vous to park near GZ. The subway is certainly submerged how many tonnes of concrete we wonder? We thought it may take a while to find this one today. The Geo gods smiled on us and the sneaky little guy was ours. A favourite point here for ingenuity and cache page information. Images attached.
Our thanks to Dog-gone for placing this cache.

Dog-onit you've done it again. Finding your caches are always fun. We enjoy your hides. This is certainly worthy of a favourite point. Thanks again
We're onto you dog-gone. This was a quick find because we know how sneaky you are! Coords spot on!

Okay, this cache is definitely going straight into my favourites. Probably one of the most original caches I've ever seen. Had us stumped for a bit. Like the challenge
Geocaching can be a bit difficult for me at times, but not in the same sense that it is for most people. I'm an engineering student, so I think very logically and when I see things that probably aren't meant to move, I never think about searching them. Slowly, I am learning bit by bit to think outside the box and attempt these odd possibilities because in the world of geocaching, it could definitely be the correct result.
Tonight was no exception to this, after already having a search once, I came back again and looked around for ages, almost gave up too when I had one idea left to try and thankfully, it ended up paying off. I had slipped over this numerous times to it being too illogical for it to move, so I need to learn that it's not always the case!
TFTC!

Clever cache! Lots of fun finding this one - had high expectations after a recent find from the same CO and was not dissapointed. TFTC
Always a cleverly hidden cache. This time i found it rather quickly. I needed some assistance with this one as i suffer from ducks disease. Lucky i had my helpful caching assistant in DBelco to lend a hand. Tfts
Thanks for this one. We looked around in circles for a bit until McLookers made the grab. Very well camoed cache Dog-gone, a favourite from me.
After jumping off the train with Tomstache we decided to grab a few caches in the vicinity before we were on our way. We did walk around in circles a bit here but I had a 'light bulb' moment and found the very well camoed cache. Excellent construction, a favourite from me Dog-gone. Wish I had found the earlier version too!
Nothing beats a creative hide.
This is certainly one that is well created.
I've found similiar before so was happy to test my luck.
Bingo, sadly no trains to view today.
Nice bit of history here.
Fav from me.

Stopped in before my train back to Melbourne... Very clever and well thought out hide - love it! TFTC
I was one of the many, that never got the chance to search for the original hide here. Oh well, you snooze, you lose. Fast forward to today and here I am, take two !! This hide had me going for a while and then I thought, could it be ?? Yep, it could !! Well done, a brilliant cache. A fave point from me. TFTC Dog-gone
Fantastic hide! We loved it. Will favourite it later. Havent figured out to do that from the new app yet. Have added some paper to the log as it was full.
Visiting the library in johnstone's park and after picking up the first wherigo in Australia and the geelong station monopoly cache, it was time for this guy. Well I have heard much about the original, I myself had a quick look but of course no such luck. I really wish I could have seen it, it sounded brilliant! Anyways, turned up at GZ and this was the first place I looked, I have seen these caches on social media recently but was good to see this guy. It wasn't until i really looked closely at how to return the cache that I realised the work gone into the container and it housing- very well made. As with most of your caches i have to give you a FP (when I earn one) as these caches really are second to none!
For a new cacher like me, seeing hides like these just make the game that much more enjoyable.
TFTC Dog-gone
TFTC TNLN SL- Unfortunately I didn't have a pen today so an image of the cache will be emailed to the CO shortly

This was the first on my weekend away with the Monch's. What a great start, and the rest of the caches around town were up to this standard too. Thanks for the hide.
Having heard many story's of this cache in its early days I was a little saddened that it has been changed. But it turned out the new hide was just as awesome and tricky to find. Thanks dog-onit for the great hide
We managed a quick find this afternoon before I headed across to the station to catch a train down to my folks for a few days. Mrs Hp was the one who made the find, thanks Dog-gone for the cheeky hide and the information on the grand old station. TFTC

I put the call out on fb to see who was heading out caching tonight, TR! Responded and we soon had a crew sorted. After completing a nearby series and a quick refuelling at kardinia cafe we wandered over to this cache. It had us all scratching our heads and was only found after a hint from a PAF. I don't know how you keep coming up with your devious hides but I am glad you do!!
Thank you for the cache and your efforts in creating it.

Was disappointed to find out they filled this what seemed to be a historical site almost in with concrete the way they did but he when the council gets a idea in there head there aint much you can do about it. Glad l had a chance to see it in part of its glory anyway.
Today l had a rough idea what l was going to be in for so no surprise when the first thing l seen screamed the CO.
Thanks for a good hide

Thanks for another brilliantly constructed cache Dog-gone. We normally have a good read of the description and then a quick squiz at the photos and past logs.....this time was no exception, but we wished after the event that we had not (for once) read some of the past logs that absolutely gave it away.....totally our fault for reading. We are all for hints in the logs but if, like us, you like a challenge and another amazingly satisfying and fun DOG-GONE hunt and find, then we highly recommend you stop reading here and give this one a go a bit 'less informed'. Even walking up for an instant find (thanks to our log reading) did not take away our admiration for this particular cache and the C/O in general- magnificent cache and a favourite from us. Kind regards, TFG5.
After searching for 30 mins and asking cacher friend we almost gave up when bingo! Jimmytherat the cunning little rat spotted it. Very tricky you bright spark. Had noticed it but was put off by the container. Thanks awesome cache made our trip to Geelong worthwhile. Bonus this is my 1011 log special significance to The Rat & Myself
TF a very shifty C Dog-onit. Spent ages looking around GZ and reached up instead of rummaging around at ground level for one last time before moving on and bingo. You're a bright spark! Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Found by Team Ninja 21/12/15, find number 698.
I made an early morning trip to Geelong to photograph one of the final cement trains to operate in Victoria before trucks start moving the freight instead. Unfortunately a V/line train derailed at South Geelong shortly before I arrived resulting in the cancellation of the cement train. So I decided to make the most of my visit here and find a few caches!
This was the second find for the day. Being a Dog-gone cache I knew it was bound to be a sneaky one and with so many hiding spots in this area I was very fortunate and snagged the cache in the first spot I tried. Great job with another excellent hide Dog-gone. TFTC!

Had checked this out on the way to the FFF event and was pretty certain I was on the right track but had to abandon search as time for paper folding approached. Called back on the way back from the event and wasn't surprised to see a number of people scouting out the area. Joined them and had an aha moment and immediately had the cache in hand. Favourite added for another sneaky hide. TFTCSL
I was part of a mini assault party of this one following the city event this morning.
Took all of us quite a while to say ah-ha.

After not very successfully attempting some Xmas tree origami, I thought I would be more successful here. I know Dog-gone, you have mean hides , so with the GPS pointing in a likely spot I began my search while the others in my group were quite a few metres away.
I used all my wiles trying to locate a sneaky hide in a corner without success. By then the GPS had settled and pointed to where my friends were.
No sooner had I started walking over to them when bkj97 walked over and straight up to the cache.
I recognised the hide from some previously in Williamstown and thought - well you know what I thought.
Happy now to have this crossed off my list
TFTC and the hunt today Dog-gone

I was looking in some likely spots when another cacher pulled up and put his hand straight on it. I'm sure he had "inside information" of some sort! Pleased to be able to log this one. I love trains. TFTC
Well, this was a sneaky one, a group of us spent some time scrounging, to no avail, another cacher drove up, then went straight to it. Ah well, I should stick to the bush.....easier finds. A good cache thank you Dog-gone.
After leaving the Christmas Flash Mob, 6hinemoa2, mudbrick, misschief18 and feathertop following we headed off to find a few local caches before heading to the CITO Event. This one had us stumped for a while until another cacher arrived who had been given a hint. Log was soon signed and off to find another. Thanks Dog-gone for another well disguised cache. A fave of course
Man you Geelong people sure have great hiding skills. Awesome as no other word for it Tftc
No way!!!! This was my thought when I finally found the cache. Very tricky indeed. Wow. Dog-gone, you give lessons in cache hiding, that's for sure. Future finders, leave a little bit of time to find this one, it may take you a while... Tftc.
I didn't get around to having a look for this guy when he was first published and then he was entombed and I thought I may never get the chance . I was very pleased when he reappeared and the logs seemed to suggest he wasn't as hard to find as his predecessor. So, with the sun shining, I decided it was time to get out of the house and go for a wander. I grabbed a takeaway coffee and wandered down to GZ.
Upon arrival, the GPSr wanted me slightly in one direction, but I didn't think that provided much opportunity for the type of hide I expected. There was another location a little further away which seemed more likely, but initially, neither proved fruitful.
I had another think. I tried this and that...and then I had a thought...BINGO!! Deviously clever as always !!
I signed the log, replaced the cache and turned to leave.
Now, on my walk to GZ, as I often do, I spent the trip spotting the older buildings in town, trying to imagine what 19th century Geelong would have looked like. I often think if it weren't for gender equality, modern medicine, technology and properly brewed coffee, that I would love to live in the 19th century...and then, for a moment, when a loud steam whistle issued from the direction of the station I thought I was!!
Kicking myself for assuming I wouldn't need my camera, I grabbed the phone and snapped a few shots as the Steam Rail Victoria train pulled off from the platform and headed to Melbourne.
Thanks for a great caching experience Dog-gone! I knew you were clever, but I would have thought that the period props and sound effects were beyond even you! Now I know better! A favourite for the clever cache and the train !

I walked from the waterfront, under a dodgy looking underpass for cars and eventually reached GZ. Great to see a unique container in play here. Thanks Dog-gone.
Finally a smiley in this spot! GeoMum and I looked for the cache in this spot two iterations ago only to find the gate to the tunnel mangled and askew and no sign of the cache. We alerted the then CO who checked it out and closed down the cache. We never made it to the first Dog-gone cache in its short lived time here (although I am amused by the idea of it continuing on into perpetuity under the concrete!).
We came by here on Sunday after completing the Wherigo in Johnstone Park. The GeoKids were of no use whatsoever and my phone GPS was not being helpful at all. Gave up when it was time to go home and have dinner.
I contacted the extremely generous SaintCache for a nudge in the right direction. GeoHubby went for a run yesterday and went past to see if he could figure it out and came home victorious. So back down there this morning to see if I could do the same.
How annoying to find that I'd been right on the cache on Sunday only to have the very same GeoHubby state "I've checked there." and to move on. Grrrrr! But all found now and log signed and another smiley on the board. TFTC Dog-gone!

Needed a cache for the day, so I chose this one. Had tried this previously with no success. Messaged a previous finder and he kindly gave me a hint on the new cache. Arrived at a familiar GZ, and began my search. Found the cache fairly quickly. The area looks completely different to a month or two ago! It's a shame the original cache got covered up, I got a hint for it the day it was disabled. Thanks Dog-onit for keeping this cache alive, the new cache is probably just as good. This cache is added to my ever growing IOU a favourite point list. Thanks Dog-onit on a fun cache with a great hide and a nice location. TFTC TN LN SL.

last time I was here the scenery looked very different... expecting a clever hide from this CO... not disapointed. TFTC
Tftc, loved the hide. After a walk around i spotted some thing i thought Hmmm whats that, cache found. What a smart hide.
This was a sneaky hide that took a few detours on the way to work to finally discover. Each time we had a look we kept being drawn back to a spot and wondering about Dog-gone's creative skills. Today we struck gold and found the nifty hide. TFTC
We were in town for a couple of wherigo caches that dad of the sims-family has been itching to do, and found ourselves close by this one. After missing the first one, we couldn't pass up the chance to stop and try for it today. We all had a bit of a poke around, but very fittingly (being father's day), it was dad who found it. Very clever hide! TFTC!
wow now thats creative!! well done. so hidden to muggles aswell! a fav point from me

Duffmmm and I found the GPS to be spot on for this one. Looking around GZ I wondered how long we would be here, but then I remembered who the CO is. So thinking sneaky thoughts I had the cache in hand within seconds. Very nice hide, TFTC.
We had found the original cache here before it got cemented in.
We seen Dog-gone had fixed it up again and decided to have a crack at it.
Luckily this was not as tricky as the first version but still a nice piece of work here.
Thanks Dog-gone for keeping this one alive.

Shifty bugger as always. Came for a look last night but we're too many people sitting in cars. Came tonight, lots of cars. Checked each out and no occupants. Quick grab and just about to put it back and owners of said cars spilled out the church. So we waited. And waited. When it was safe returned it to its very obvious spot. Shifty shifty shifty. What else could we expect. No smilie for this one as it was already got with the previous find but as always, enjoyable to find this COs hides. Tftc.

Unless you have a jack hammer to dig up concrete...because that is where the original cache is...I have placed a new cache nearby.
Welcome to Geelong if you came by train.
Cheers
Dog-gone.

I drove past today and the ramp was filled with concrete. The cache went under with the rest of the tunnel.
