Took a little bit to find as the area is really overgrown. No chance of signing as log is destroyed. TFTC

10-Sep-23
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" easy & hard souvenir chase. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.

Today (day 2) we explored the areas around Wilberforce, Ebenezer, and Sackville. Completed a five stage Adventure Lab, as well as a couple of random Adventure Lab stages (waypoints), and collected numerous Traditional caches, a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache, a MultiCache, and a Virtual cache. This was the 17th of 31 finds for the day (day 2), and 37th find of the holiday.

After visiting Ebenezer Church for some caches and an Adventure Lab we headed up Tizzana Road and this was the next cache we came to, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. Log was just a wet & unsignable pulpy mess inside the plastic bag, so we took a photo of it instead. TNLN, then replaced as found. TFTC teamMerlin.

Came along today to add some more smileys to the map of the Hawkesbury area. You just have to love geocaching, especially on Valentines Day. It was a good run and goingplaces2 came along for the ride. This cache was a successful find and the log was signed. TFTC.

Very over grown, we ended up finding it but couldn’t sign due to water, will need to be replaced as it has a hole

No this find took me a hot minute to get my hands on. Maybe the area around has become a bit overgrown since the hide… almost gave up thought o had covered all bases….. when yay had the find in hand!

I joined Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK for a trip to Sydney to drop in on another Celebration Event. This time in the Hawksbury. We used up the rest of the day doing a series of Challenge caches near Penrith, including a bonus First to Find, and then some of the EG caches surrounding the event location. A long but exhiklerating day of caching.

Thanks for the cache teamMerlin

Headed Sydney way with fitzy_1965 and albida33 today.

We had seen the community celebration event a few weeks ago. I was keen to get to Ebenezer as my Australian family roots come from there so made plans to head north today. After a foggy start, it turned out to be a rather warm day compared to Canberra and surrounds lately.

On our way through Ebenezer, we decided to start doing this series of caches. My Ancestry Family Reunion is held in Ebenezer at the Church every 5 yrs. It got postponed from last year and has just been postponed again so nice to come up here regardless. My descendants, on my Australian side, were on the Neptune which was part of the Second Fleet. They are buried at Ebenezer and Wilberforce cemeteries.

Turning to head for home, we collected a few more caches whilst we had some time up our sleeves. Thanks teamMerlin.

24,766. Found with minniek and albida33 during a run up to the Ebenezer region for a Community Celebration Event.

When we spotted another Community Celebration Event being held up at a Winery in the Ebenezer region, we decided to head up that way for a full day of caching. A foggy start from Goulburn had us soon burn through for what was a lovely day to be outside. After finishing off a bunch of challenge caches along The Northern Road - including a surprise first to find - we started doing the EG-Q series and other bonus caches along the way. After the event we continued along cherry-picking caches. This was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we headed off to the next one.

Thanks teamMerlin !!

Great day of caching near the Hawkesbury River. Started in Ebenezer with the AL, unfortunately very unsuccessful as the location service on my phone was struggling and could not fix on the wp's I needed. Luckily I also made a good plan for other caches so the day turned out productive. Weather was really good, about 20 with a little breeze and nice and sunny. Was a bit weary of the hole!

   CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Streak day 60.
Below is a blurb about us.
We are trying to get a badge from Project-GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to
get badges for adding photos to our found logs.
We Started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full time (living in a caravan), caching fits in well with this lifestyle.
It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone.
When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there to get the caches we want.

After attending the New Year's day event at the Tizzana Vineyard I wanted to do some more caches whilst slowly driving back home.
Many of the finds were related to the Ebenezer GeoQuest series, but as I did not manage to visit all of the 25 caches, I definitely will need to comeback for more geocaching in this beautiful area.

Finding the cache and noting the required clue for the final cache did not take too much time, so quickly moved on to the next cache near the bus stop down the road.

Another day OCW marj01. After a very early start from the eastern subs we arrived at Ebenezer at first light to commence the day. During the course of the day we visited 69 trads, 4 multis, 2 puzzle and 2 letterbox caches. With only a handfull of dnfs it was a successfull day, with the majority of the caches being found in a reasonably short time. Thanks to all the COs for hiding and maintaining their caches and providing us with a fun day. Cheers oldmorty.

Out caching with @itsonlybarney.

Suffering from a bit of geocaching withdrawal after our geocaching holiday. We decided to take the opportunity of the good weather to grab as many caches as we could. We managed to get 25 finds for the day. TFTC.

**Total find count: 536**

After a week way from the searching for caches after our holiday, we needed to get out and about on a glorious day. With a total of 25 finds for the day, it felt good to make some finds after a week of no finds.

All caches were in excellent condition except as otherwise noted in my comments below.

------
Pulled into the Fire Trail and the hint made no sense at first look, but a recalibration soon led me to readjust my location and the cache revealed itself within seconds of arriving. Log signed, and cache replaced just as found.

Found with Coybear2000. We'd attended the nearby CITO and decided to go for this one before heading to the nearby meet'n'greet. We parked a short distance from the lane. We walked towards GZ, while a passing car tooted us and the passenger waved - we caught up with the occupants at the m&g. Once at GZ we soon found the hide. We had to clear off some ants before we could open the container to sign the log. TFTC.

Out with Trodectus for a find between events. Parked near GZ and fellow cachers drove by as we walked to GZ. Quick find after starting the search. TFTC

19-Aug-17
So far on my caching travels today I have made four finds, but lunch is calling. Where to stop? I want somewhere quiet with a bit of a view and I know a couple of spots out here but, just one more cache, then lunch.

What a great decision, this is an excellent place to stop for lunch.
I parked the geomobile facing down the Sandy Hollow Trail and enjoyed watching birds flit across the track while I ate.

After that I made the short walk to GZ. The hint helped but there are two things that could match the hint here. It was a quick find even so then after completing the secretarial duties I walked about 200m down the trail. Very pleasant.

#4199 (1 of 5 today)

A milestone coming up, and I haven't managed to get to an event at the winery on Tizzana Road as yet. I can make that the milestone but if I do I need to grab one more first.

After the event was part of a group looking to attack a letterbox cache - how hard can that be? Well, D4½T4 actually.
Then split up and I grabbed two more on the way home, including my first (Ying / Yang) cache - the WhereIGo.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Nice easy find on the way to the event. I'm actually getting close to having a go at the final - only 4 or 5 of the preliminary ones left. Now where have I put all the clues?

Completed signing duties and replaced.

27-May-17
Attended with BillHill531 and my son. We made the two hour trip down here for some unique caches and attend some events. A fun day ending with fifteen finds, six different cache types, and we were not even trying!
This was our fifth stop. When we finally pealed ourselves away from the event, to do some other select caches, we did some more of this series. Not sure how it all comes together in the end, especially the word answers, but enjoyable none the less. It was not where I looked so, glad BillHill found it. Log book very very full. Needs replacing ASAP.
Thanks for the drive, stroll and cache!

22-Apr-17
Another find on the EG-Q series. We are slowly picking up all the caches, but still have some way to go. It's always an excuse to come back to the Hawkesbury and find a few more containers.

This one was picked up right after we had finished at the Charles Kemp Reserve CITO earlier in the day. We missed this one and some others the previous month because we were in too much of a hurry to get to the Meet and Greet event at the winery.

All is well with the cache. I added my name to the log and left one of my signature small wire dogs.

Was out here last week and thought it was a nice area to bring the geoWife, so after lunch in Windsor, we started the EG-Q series. Have had fun collecting 15 in the series, we were now running late to get home. Just one more though... Found cache pretty quickly but then scratched our heads why there would be a dog bowl here. Who knows.

Today's in such beautiful weather I took a tour from Wilberforce to Ebenezer and took the ferry across the Hawkesbury back to Tizzana Road. I was able to look at old buildings along the tracks, taking a nice busch walk to enjoy the beautiful view of the river.
This tour was very nice and I have enjoyed myself very much

No. 572

This one wasn't too difficult. It looked like there was an actual road according to the map, so I almost missed it as I approached. I was able to pull in and park at the sign for the fire trail, and walked over to GZ. Found it within a couple of minutes, signed and replaced, and got the necessary info for the final. TFTC!

I took the long way to Windsor from the Central Coast today in order to visit Wisemans Ferry (to grab one of the 3 remaining caches I need to complete my "finds by hidden date" grid) and to explore the outreaches of Sackville and Ebenezer.

A straightforward find on this one, though I must admit that in the interests of expediency, I'd peeked at the hint before getting out of the car and so was immediately able to focus in on an obvious hiding spot ... which is where I would have looked anyway ... Wink

Thanks teamMerlin.

A spot of afternoon caching with karennicole, blundobusters and bbjnr on the Ebenezer Geo-Quest. Thanks teamMerlin for bringing us here.
